Why do barn owls look like unfinished muppets when their young, but look beautiful when older

that is very human like......we look like unfinished muppets almost entire life, we only look acceptable when we are nearly 25

My friend had a rescue owl. It had a real deep personality. More than any cat or dog I have ever seen. Very intelligent and very funny. A little bundle of character.
Owls are actually on a lower scale of bird intelligence, a big part of their brain is dedicated to hunting, so they are not really that wise

I got my barn owl at 6 weeks and he was really fluffy from all of the down. So we built a long aviary in our back garden and he absolutely loves it!

They will leave if u leave them outside often and don't feed them all the time. Their base survival instincts will kick in as they become independent.
