I am calling it! The odds are 8-2 against Pelicans because people forget they were actually a number 4 seed in the west just before BI got hurt. @@eddyhung7497 Pelicans aren't an ordinary 8 seed. If they were healthy all year they'd be 5 seed, even without Zion. That being said, Thunder shot uncharacteristically poorly, only got 13 FT, and their giant weakness is rebounding -- and the Pels have good rebounding

wallace showed great IQ and discipline in that final play of the game, especially for a rookie. Stuck to CJ long enough to bother him and get him out of rhythm, then backed off at the last possible moment to avoid contact on CJ 3pt shot. If he put CJ on the ft line for 3 you can bet CJ hitting at least 2 of em

The Pelicans have showed how scary they can be. Even though they didn’t win, they showed great strength, versatility, and resilience.
This is something they should be proud of, to see the effort they put in, but also something to learn from and apply to the next game! I’m excited to see how this series turns out! 🔥

This felt like the longest game I have ever watched
Pels - Up 2 with less than 3 minutes left they had five offensive possessions, FIVE where they didn’t connect or more frustrating had unforced turnovers. And Thunder still weren’t capitalizing…we freaking had it y’all!!!!
They absolutly had the game in their grasps and faultered to close out yet again
The solace to take in they made it the most exciting game for a road team, CJ while missing the final shot was *far* more aggressive tonight and they played good defense and dominate second chance points albeit in the first half. Hope is not all lost
People have written the Pelicans off but the surprise this year will be them beating the Thunder like 7 seed Lakers beat Grizzlies and 8th seed Heat beat Celtics! The rest of the predictions might go as is...Hhahahaha! That would make people pretty anxious because the odds are 8-2 against the Pels

Valanciunas had 20 rebs, 9 offensive, but was still a -2 for the game. I think about 5 of those rebounds came on two of his own missed shots and then missed out-backs. So, it’s a bit misleading. Holmgren was a +1.

I didn’t get to watch the game but came for the highlights. But that last play by the Pels was horrible. This one goes on the coach and as well as CJ, gotta be better handling a last shot situation as a starting PG especially with game one on the line like this. OKC had an off night and got lucky with this one. But I can only imagine if Zion was in.
The issue for the pelicans is Alvarado. OKC can keep up with him and shut him down one on one
