I was trying to explain this movie to someone (who is trying to write) about the protag and their goals. I couldn't articulate it and it's driving me crazy. In the early narration he says he's living half a life - is that his goal, to live a whole life? He states in act 2 that the chances of finding someone to love, who loves you back is miniscule. Is that the goal? Or is it simply finding the love that only dreams are made of? I am going crazy trying to answer my own question. : )
Not all stories have a goal. This is just a love story. It’s how they got together and overcome the obstacle of her fame. You could say their goal was each other.
