  • While people go to Costco first and foremost to buy things in bulk, there’s another thing that keeps them there - the food court. While it may seem like a store’s food court is nothing more than an afterthought, Costco takes a lot of care in delivering great food to their customers, and one big fan favorite is their pizza. Not only is it inexpensive, but you get a lot of bang for your buck in regards to size and taste. What does Costco do to make their pizza so special? Let’s take a look at why Costco’s pizza is so delicious.

      About three slices would meat the 2000 calorie a-day standard. Although, saturated fat is *very* unhealthy, especially in such large proportions. You're looking at about 140% of your daily saturated fat intake with just two pieces, and three would just be insane. Plus, you have to take into account that they completely neglected to mention fiber, which clocks in at only 3g per slice, so you're looking at some intense constipation if that is all you eat in a day. ;)

So them telling you the food court pizza dough is made fresh. No it is not food court pizza and deli pizza are pre-made crust. People had started suing people for everything they could think of. It was ridiculous. Now they won't even offer it anonymously.

    OK so here are the details to the comments like why it's soo cheap and why they throw out the food. I worked at Costco for 2 years and had to work the food court. The reason it's cheap is because it's meant to be an attraction to bring you in and an amenity to customers. Costco doesn't make any money on the food. They break even so you'll get good quality food for cheap. Second, after every night they throw out all the food and employees don't get to take it home because it's considered stealing and they will fire you. Don't ask how I know lol they are not allowed to give it away because they have been sued by the very people they give it to. Also Costco is probably the cleanest place you can get food from. At the end of every single night they scrub down the whole kitchen.

    For those people who don't know why people love costco, I'll tell you why at least I love them:
    For one, there was this huge problem with honey in the US being sold by BOTH foreign and domestic manufacturers that wasn't actually honey, but instead thickened and mixed (secretly and illegally) with artificial ingredients that were, believe it or not, some times actually toxic and even dangerous to consume (edit* only one manufacturer I know if has attempted this, and failed... but still). This wasn't just a problem because it was potentially dangerous, it was also a problem because it was common. In fact, even though you go to the store and see honey on the shelves that is marketed as "100% real honey", often times it's not (or wasn't, not sure because I haven't been keeping up with this). But one of the most reliable and consistent sources of real, safe honey to consume was, you guess it, fucking Costco. And that's not the only thing they've been known for.
    They pay their workers great starting pay, they get good benefits, and they're simply put just treated fucking well. The products they sell are very carefully labeled to be as accurate and non-deceptive as possible. They are also one of the best, accurate sources of olive oil sold on the market today and boasts a low enough acidity (which is relatively uncommon due to the manufacturing process being so difficult) that you can use it in medium-high temperature searing for cooking with meats like steak. Plus it's cheap af, and they're not lying to you when they tell you where it's from and how low of an acidity it has. They sell damn good turkey sandwiches for 3 dollars, and their pizzas can feed an entire family for 10 dollars. Costco is the shit. Anyone who doesn't like them either doesn't know anything about them or has a serious bias towards corporations, branding all as "evil" when in reality, THIS is the way you should run a company. God bless them. Good people, the lot. And that's rare these days, with everybody fucking their workers and customers over to make a buck.
    tl;dr:
    They're honest, kind to their employees, and sell products that are not only inexpensive but also of a reliable quality. I'm not a cult member of some Costco fanboy club, but if you know anything about them it's pretty damn difficult to hate them.

The employees are human , the person talking is emphasizing that the worker's job of the pizza making process isn't completely useless and that the machines don't do it all.

    My school makes us bring our own lunches, but in fridays we usually get hot lunch and whenever its pizza we usually get little ceasers. Once we got pizza from Costco and it was probably the biggest improvement ever

    I am one of those closet Costco lovers. I am there at least 5 days a week at least for pizza and fruite smoothie, which alone, is worth the membership. $10 bucks for a a huge pizza or a perfect 1.99 slice every time. And the fruit smoothies are another story, I tell ya. They are 100% all natural ( I'm not sure what's in it exactly) and it literally gets better as I drink it. Lesson. Costco is amazing 👌

    I respect them for using their robots to help employees' jobs easier, and not replacing the job as a whole WHILE creating bomb ass pizza!

    • @BboyDaquack
      @BboyDaquack Před 5 lety +1

      robot can't replace all jobs. even for ones they can. the cost to produce and create the robots don't outweigh the price to pay an employee as an operational cost. i guarantee you they looked into a fully robotic process. but the technology just isn't there yet. least not for the cost.

      HingleMcCringleBerry Thankfully, yeah. Apparently most white collar jobs are set to get wiped out by the year 2050/30 (can't remember the exact date) and it's pretty scary to see this happening. It's said to include jobs like accountants , manufacturers (which we're starting to see now) and even surgeons
