    You have a very clear teaching style that some (teachers) never manage to develop quite as well. I guess that comes from being in a profession essentially involving effective communication. Especially appreciate you going through mistakes and emphasising them rather than pretending it all went perfectly from the beginning. Hope these tools give you even more opportunities to entertain and inspire mate!

    Excellent Tutorial! As a beginner, it definitely helped me have a better understanding of the different types of ways to utilize the machine. Thank you!

    Casual and slightly funny way of talking, easy to listen to, yet gets the point across without wasting time or padding the video!

    Great video. Interesting to see how the cutter would work on thin plasticard for modelling purposes. I've seen a few people try it to mixed results.

    I have a Silhouette Cameo 4 and you can cut styrene with this machines! I'm sure this one can too. I'm cutting 0.25mm styrene completely through and scoring everything above 0.5mm and then snap it. It's VERY precise. I'm using Blender to model my plans in 3D and export flattened DXF to import it into the cutting program.

      @sliceoflifefilm  Před 9 měsíci

      Oh that's a great idea. Yes, this one seems like it produces a good amount of pressure when cutting so I'm sure it could cut through thin styrene. I gotta get my hands on a few sheets and try it out.

    Very informative tutorial. A couple questions; I am looking for a cutter for the type of vinyl on sticky paper for decals to put on models, not heat transfer vinyl. Can you make custom designs of your own making, like the decals of "Marine's Dream" Corsair airplane? I mean, do you have to use a certain font, or can you cut any scanned custom letters that are not a certain font? I mainly need to cut decals for my scratch-built rc planes.

    • @sliceoflifefilm
      @sliceoflifefilm  Před 8 měsíci

      Yes, this one cuts normal adhesive vinyl too. At the end of the video I demonstrated that, and I painted some letters on a "model". You can also do custom designs, sure. You can use any font you have installed, but keep in mind these free programs are not the most practical for complex designs. You should probably use something more professional like Adobe Illustrator for example, and then you can easily import the final design in this program and cut it out.

      You are welcome. You can design anything you want in any vector program, and then import it into Loklik program as an .svg file.

    Hello what was the name of the paper used for the terminator tshirt print?
    I believe you said you printed straight from your standard printer with regular ink?
    Thanks.

      @sliceoflifefilm  Před 4 měsíci

      Yes, but I printed with a laser printer, not inkjet. Here's the link: www.loklikeurope.com/heat-transfer-paper-sheets-8-pcs-dark.html

    Apart from their auto heat press, the rest is a straight-up copy of the Cricut line of hobby level digital cutters, handheld heat presses. Got a mug press from this copycat company? I bet it is the bootleg version of the Cricut's mug press. If you want superior results from a hobby level digital cutter, then get yourself a Brother Scan N Cut DX series. They have built-in 600 DPI color scanners that can handle 12x12 inch scanning on their lower end machines (85 and 125 models) or 12x24 inch color scans on the rest of their higher end models. If you want the most bang for your buck, the top tier models have all the features installed and unlocked, ready for use. If your budget can't cover all the bells and whistles from the start, then get one of the cheaper models. Over time, you can add / unlock the same set of features through add-on kits.
    Go look up The Gentleman Crafter UK's CZcams videos on how to get the most use of the Brother Scan N Cut DX series.
