Creating Corner Lock Mechanism Using Rotation / Woodworking DIY

This time, as a locking device series, I made a handle and a secret lock in the corner based on my previous ideas.

Maybe next time don't drill all the way through the slot for the little locking bolt on the top piece. I mean you'd have to have it all ready to go and in place when the top is put on but I believe it would make a big difference for little effort. Maybe a veneer over the magnet too. Thinking about esthetics. Great work love the channel

To folks watching, unless it’s just for looks, probably want to salvage the corner you cut off the door to be the handle instead of using a piece of visibly different wood. If you can see the handle at first glance like in this demonstration, it’s just a pretty box. And that’s likely why he uses a different wood for the handle: for demonstration.

The metal in the top may fall, if the door is open and the magnet is removed from top surface and there is nothing below to hold that small cylindrical piece of metal which was initially going back to the door when it was closed

Good idea but I don’t like the loose pins, too easy to lose. You can buy childproof cupboard locks that use the same principle and are hidden inside.
