  • Mini Baklava cups recipe:
    23-25 mini fillo cups
    1/2 cup toasted walnuts
    1/2 cup toasted pistachios
    2 Tablespoons sugar
    1 Tablespoon melted butter
    Zest of half of an orange
    1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    Syrup:
    1 1/2 Tablespoons sugar
    3 Tablespoons honey
    1/4 cup water
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees, place fillo cups on a baking sheet and bake for 5 minutes.
    In a blender, add nuts, salt, cinnamon, sugar, melted butter, zest of half of an orange and pulse together in blender until course and crumbled up but not into a paste. Fill fillo cups evenly with all of the mixture and bake for 10 minutes.
    While fillo cups are baking, prepare the syrup mixture by adding, water, honey, vanilla, and sugar to a small pot and stir together and bring to a boil for about 7 minutes give or take until it turns into a syrup consistency.
    Once fillo cups are done baking immediately pour the syrup mixture over all the tops of the fillo cup mixtures evenly until all the way gone. Let cool off completely and then Refrigerate for at least a few hours or better yet over night! Enjoy!
