Those Mountains & Waterfalls so beautiful. Breathtaking views from the bridges. So many places to stop and see, good thing you decided to get your own vehicle. Amazing it looks like you had no one around you at many stops. The glaciers glass floor was amazing. How lucky to be only ones on it. The color of each lake is beautiful. Great video !! That was a great video, I have been in the Rockies 3 or 4 time,with stops along the way like you. I am 80 and travel in a small motorhome, I will leave PA. in a month and drive to the Calgary Stampede and then up to the Rockies. Awww….thank you so much! This is the direction we would like to take the channel…we’re planning on adding more adventures outside of the sunshine state this year! So, keep an eye out! ☺️ We do have a short list of places we want to go. Next in 2026 we’re heading back to Iceland, then hopefully, Japan, Scotland, Norway…I love creating itineraries! I think I might make them as a downloadable for people to use as they plan their trip. I would also LOVE to go to Australia and New Zealand! Hopefully, the budget will allow more travel in the future as we continue to grow.

Canada is a beautiful place. I am grateful that this is only a 3.5h drive from where I live. You must come back when forest fire smoke doesn't dull down the views. If you do return to Jasper, you should go up to Edith Cavell!! It is a fantastic experience that will be remembered for a lifetime! FYI (maybe leave the drone at home. It is illegal in national parks, and the fine is $25,000!! Eek!! ) They do actually charge people.
For anyone asking when to go: high season is basically from the May long weekend through the labour day weekend. If you have kids, I would book later in the summer when the sun sets at a more reasonable hour

We didn’t bring a drone. What you may have thought were drone shots were actually coming from our Insta360 X3 on an invisible selfie stick. You can see me carrying it in the background of several shots like at 12:47 , 21:07 and at 20:40 you can see it in the reflection of the skywalk. We do love that it gives you drone-like shots…without a drone.

Thank you so much! We used a few cameras on this trip. Our main ones were the DJI Pocket 2, the Insta360 x3 (for the 360 shots), and the insta360 GO as our action camera. Oh, and we used our iPhone a lot, too! ☺️ I hope this helps!

We visited in 2018 - I've seen beetle damage to the trees on Spirit Island since, but they now look as if they have recovered. A bit confused, as I was told that recovery was not possible. Did you visit pre-2018?

@@gallegospam yep! There was a fee. I think it was $15-20? I can’t quite remember, so don’t quote me on that. And yes, we had noon reservations on the park and ride, so we just headed to the park and ride parking lot afterwards, and took the bus to Morraine Lake

Hi there! Thank you so much! I'm so happy that you enjoyed the video. We didn't have any issues with the Tesla on our trip. When we picked it up, our Hertz agent told us that there is a super charger in Canmore and another one in Jasper. There are a few chargers in Banff, but they're really, really slow and difficult to get to. When you put in your destination, it'll tell you how much charge you'll have by the time you get there. So, you can know if you have enough charge to make it to your destination or not or if you have to charge it up. But, as long as you have it fully charged in Canmore on the way up to Jasper, and fully charged before you leave Jasper, you'll be fine! :)

Hi there! You should be fine in July. We went the very last week of August. But, you may want to bring one just in case…especially if you’re planning on going up to the top of any mountains. It’s warm during the day, but the nights and the top of the mountains tend to be cold.

Hi, a random question from a clueless Aussie. You chose a Tesla as your drive car, how was the charging stations and were you concerned with the mileage travelled each day? Beautiful video and images from this Canada trip, you have helped us decide on an itinerary.
Hi there! Thank you so much! I’m happy you enjoyed the video! When we picked up the Tesla, our Hertz agent told us that there was a super charger in Canmore and then another one in Jasper. So, as long as we had it fully charged before heading up the Icefields Parkway that we’d be fine. Plus, when you put in your destination in the Navigation system it told you how much of a charge you would have left by the time you made it to your destination. So, we knew if we had enough charge to make it there and back or if we had to top it off. Overall, we didn’t have any trouble! ☺️ I hope you have an incredible trip!!

High season runs from mid-June through to the end of the labour day weekend. Book well ahead of time, especiallyif your trip includes a weekend. Things get much quieter after Thanksgiving, and that's when some roads get closed due to snow at higher elevations.

Hi Erica! Thank you so much! 🥰 We used quite a few cameras for this trip. Our main ones were the DJI Pocket 2, Insta360 X3, and Insta360 GO. We also used our phones quite a bit too for impromptu shots. We edited this on Adobe Premiere Pro and used Adobe After Effects for the day # animations. This would be my dream family vacation. How much did you spent on rooms ?
I hope you get the chance to go! Our room budget was $250-350 per night. A lot of our rooms we booked with travel points through our credit card, so we didn’t pay for them out of pocket. But, I looked up the cost for them later, and they ranged in the $250-350 area.

Is an RV safe to take on this trip or are the mountain roads too much for such a thing?
We saw plenty of RVs heading up the Icefields Parkway, so I can’t see why not! Just make sure that your tank is filled up before the drive because there aren’t any gas stations along Icefields Parkway and cell service was spotty. Have a wonderful time!!
What do you use to take your video?
Hi there! We used a few different cameras during our trip. They are the DJI Pocket 2, DJI Go, Canon EOS R, and an Insta360 X2. The epic shots from above like the shot of me on the back of the boat were taken with the Insta360 X2.
Were there forest fires in the area during your visit? It seems quite hazy
There weren’t fires in the area during our trip, but the smoke from past fires and fires from other areas did haze the area for a few of our days. It was still beautiful though…almost gave it like a painting feel to the vistas.
I've been going through your channel and it's so amazing! I have to ask, do you have a policy on other youTube channels using 10 second or less snippets of your work? I have my own channel that's Disney History based, not like yours. I'd say the name but figure it might be be rude to name it in your comments section. It wasn’t too bad! There is a super charger in Canmore right before you hit Banff, and then another one in Jasper right as you enter the town. So, if you top up in Canmore, you will make it to Jasper with no issues if you get the extended range like we did. There were chargers in Banff, but they were difficult to get to, and were always packed…plus, they were really slow!! I highly recommend just using the super charger in Canmore. There are no super chargers on the ice fields parkway, so you’ll want to make sure that you’re fully charged before heading up. But, there aren’t any gas stations either…so, you’ll have to top up anyway even if you get a gas vehicle. Regardless, we really enjoyed having the Tesla. @ChrissaTravels hello super scared of the drive . Im flying out of ft lauderdale to Calgary in 2 weeks then driving to Jasper how scary was the drive ? Is there alot of exposed cliff driving? Your feedback would be greatly appreciated
Hi there fellow Floridian! :) I am so excited for you and your upcoming trip! No need to be scared at all. The drive is very easy, and mostly through a valley. I can't remember a time where I got nervous about a cliff.

Were EV charging stations readily available?
There is a super charger in Canmore, and another just as you enter Jasper. There are a few charging stations in Banff, but they were really, really slow.
I know i will encounter too many people.
