That band, man,so in the pocket - and the lead guitar’s running commentary alone is worth the price of admission…
She's so sweet and pretty, talented and fun. She's what country music is supposed to be.
She has stuck to the original country sound I love and she gives credit where it's due and shows respect on any stage she is on. Great performance keep singing with that great voice ...
Gruene Hall best honkytonk dance hall deep in the heart of Texas! LeAnn nails it!!!
Can't wait to see LeAnn again!
America, doesn't even ever get better than this, love LeAnn Rimes, yes we do!!!!!!!
This looks like a goold ole time! 10 year old me had quite the crush on LeAnn back in the 90's..haha. She has aged beautifully since.
Never would have thought this singer and song would work, but damn this is awesome.
She was so much fun to see live, and I'd love to get see her perform again!

Once again she proves she can sing anything she wants to
Summer time way down south.....iced down beer in a #2 tub, big fire blazing, roasting weiners and eating, guitars picking...and you always sing this song.

She's great
Awesome video,
very fun and great job your very talented alays have been a big fan
Beautifully done Love Here
"Some guy she never met" wrote that song? Yes, because Steve Goodman died at age 36 of leukemia when LeeAnn was 2! Goodman also wrote the great "City of New Orleans".
Steve Goodman, we miss you!
Still the best
We would play songs, by John Cougar Mellencamp, Small Town I.E. Rock in the USA...🤫
Most female voice in history of country music.
Steve Goodman and John prine wrote this as a joke They got a big assist from David Allen coe

This is a strange crossover that I never expected. Lol
Written by John Prine and Steve Goodman.

That's funny, I fell in love with this Lady in a small town. She was pretty in her own way. Certain things would kinda piss me off !!!
Never heard a women sing this song. Pretty good.
Howlen at the moon
Never heard a female do this song. Good job.
Some people don't understand, that's why I've got married !!! 🤔
That's why I never joined the military !!! Just ask me, don't tell me, don't get in my face !!!
" by David Allan Coe"...UH UH..it is by John Prine and Steve Goodman!
But Penny was always there; I don't know what ever happened between me & Missy ??? I always tried to encourage her. You're a Lady you were the pant,s in our relationship!!! 🤔
Just need the chicken wire 🤣🤣
Yes a terd I named you
Anna's gone, she's Dead... 🤔
Not trying to disparage Lee Ann, but I don't think that song was for her to sing. I didn't particularly care for her rendition of this classic. She's got such an amazing voice though, so I decided to give it a listen. Sorry, not my cuppa. Still love her voice though! ❤️
Sorry, this version SUX compared to David Allen Coe's, and I LOVE LeAnn lol!
to each their own. I think she absolutely honored the original and respected the musicians who came before her in covering this classic tune.
@@nicholaspersac thats your opinion,
That girl should be a shamed! do that to Dac!!!!!
She did this song justice, and the originals behind it would appreciate her version, imho
@@nicholaspersac I respectfully disagree
@@anthonyowsley8286 nah, that wasn't respectful at all. you called her a "girl" and said she should be ashamed. LeeAnn is a talented musician, a great Texan and captivating performer. If you don't like this particular cover, you can certainly say so in a more civil manner.
@@nicholaspersac No disrespect to her at all as far as that goes..... To my old butt, She is a girl. and as far as the way I say things, I'm just like you and everyone else in this world. I have an opinion..... And, I just didn't appreciate the way she did the song. I meant no offense to her.
@@nicholaspersac Texan???? she hails from Mississippi !!!
Well I appreciate she's trying to give credit to the founders of outlaw country. But her singing that song doesn't fit at all. She could sing country songs from The Legends of the female side of country. Another odd thing about her she is raised country legendary country and then she marries someone actually divorces her husband and marry someone who is absolutely the opposite of country a foreigner I don't understand that. Roots run deep and tradition is everything
This sounds like some thinly veiled sexism and racism, John. I hope you'll consider how these remarks aren't appropriate
The song is "You Never Even Call Me By My Name." LeAnn Rimes @3:14 said "some guy that I never met wrote that song." The guy was Steve Goodman. At least when David Allen Coe sings it he shows respect to Steve. Would it kill "Lil' Mrs. Perfect" to show some respect ?
you're reading too much into that line, and you're showing your misogynistic worldview in your comment here. And, you're also just plain wrong: the song is absolutely "Called" and not "Call," though I wouldn't be surprised if in some instances it's referred to as the latter.
