- Join us, Carol & Ken, for a brand new adventure in our new Consort Nova called Snoopy.
In this video, we have finally prepped the van just as we want it and set off along the south coast of England to the New Forest in Hampshire.
Our destination is Milford-on-Sea where we know a good spot to spend the night and experiment with a new cooking idea.
The next day is spent relaxing at Beaulieu Heath with some wild ponies.

Another longer format so please let us know what you think ❤
I like the longer format, it’s so relaxing.
Loved it
Love the longer format
❤
I love the longer videos...it feels like it's over before it's begun when short. Though it must be more work for you editing?
The camera is nice and clear. My favourite weather in a campervan is moody skies and rain...so cosey. Thankyou for sharing❤
I am an American who could cheerfully live a vagabond existence. How fun to just go. Go anywhere and stay as long as you want and then change your mind and go elsewhere! You will make such great friends along the way. So jealous!!
We certainly love the freedom that comes with off grid camping 🙂
Just to the right of the viewpoint car park (Micks monster burgers) there is a copse of 258 Beech trees, planted to commemorate the fallen of the Falklands conflict, often walk the dogs through there,
Wish we had known. Will check that out one day 🙂
Ken you are a renaissance man, video maker, tour guide, chef, and toilet advisor! 🤣Is there no end to your talents?
No end at all I am afraid. I was sent to earth to eat everything and be a shining example to others 🤥😁👍
Hi guys! I think it's sweet that you have a framed photo of Little Red Campervan to remember him by. Having a checklist is a excellent idea when you have a senior brain like mine. Loved seeing the horses and swans.
P.S. Twas me that anonymously bought 5 coffees. My first time and I didn't know to comment.
Well thanks for the coffee ❤️
Enjoying your videos here in Alberta Canada. Coming from farmland I have a suggestion for you. Don’t crack your eggs on the side of the pan, the shells crack inwards into the egg and you risk breaking the yolk. Break eggs on a level surface like your countertop or cutting board to prevent this. Funny what we notice while watching other people’s videos, eh!
Thanks for the tip. We will certainly give that a try (you won’t see it for a while though as we have a backlog of editing 😁👍)
@@LifeistooshortCK 👍😍
I do this and it works perfectly :)
Thanks guy's for the video glad you are both feeling a little better keep safe u2 ❤👍
having a list is just the ticket
Oh my up on Portsdown hill and at micks burger van
You were literally overlooking my home
Was an amazing place to watch the red arrows on Wednesday a very heartfelt day 😢❤
Yes, that must have been a moving experience ❤️
You guys sure eat a lot lol- enjoy !!
I agree about the Tower pan range, I have just ordered the Wok as I was impressed by one a friend had bought. Thank you for showing the rest of the range. The prices seem very good compared to others currently available and few ranges include a wok which is so useful. Enjoyed the video, thank you,
Thank you for another wonderful vlog. The New Forest is definitely one of the best treasures in the UK.
I always enjoy watching your videos like I've said before your voices are so relaxing and soothing to listen to. I'm on dialysis at the moment and trying to lose weight to get back onto the transplant list. Listening to your voices relaxing while being connected to the dialysis machine. Like all ways thank you for taking time out of your day to make interesting and informative programmes.
Glad you find our videos help you to relax George. Good luck with the weight loss ❤️
Love the New Forest. We spent our honeymoon in a hotel in Brockenhurst. Stunning scenery all around.
A couple of years ago, if someone had told us our Friday evenings would be spent chilling with your videos with a glass of wine we’d never have believed it but here we are lol. Another lovely relaxing watch. The new camera seems to have pretty good low light capabilities? We couldn’t manage without our check list either. Hope you’re wrong about losing another lovely park up 😔.
Lots of things are happening that I never imagined. I will be editing the adder hunt soon 😁👍
@@LifeistooshortCK looking forward to it 😀
good to see you on your next adventures, many happy miles and smiles
Nerdy knowledge: white eggs are more environmentally friendly than brown ones, because the breed of chickens that produce the white eggs eat less food per produced egg.
You learn something every day 😀👍
Love the top of Portsdown Hill, magnificent views...when its not raining. I hardly noticed the longer format, half an hour or more of my favourite soap! Very entertaining 👍
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
I always use a checklist for departures. Left the skylights open and step out far too many times!
Great vid Carol & Ken 😁
Enjoyed viewing thanks. Watching you pair eating and relaxing is just as enjoyable now as it was when I first visited the channel. Great footage, crystal clear. Paul. 🥰
Cheers Paul 😀
Yay!! Great to see you both again and snoopy x❤
Great longer format, New forest is a great place with nice views thanks for sharing 😊
Glad you enjoyed it
That was a great park up beside the ponies, just amazing to see them in the wild👍
Most enjoyable & chilled out, its more of a home now. Great idea for CHECKLIST.
Can't believe you stopped in that place in the new forest,we were only there just over a week ago before going to isle of wight 😎 such a beautiful place and a cracking vlog 👌 plus we've been to Mick's burger van a few times when we had family in Portsmouth 😁
Hi Ken & Carol, lovely video and love the longer format 👍 looks like the New Forest has had loads of rain. Safe travels can’t wait for the next one ❤❤❤
Hey guys, I’m loving the longer format. Means I get to see more of your fun travels and lovely faces 😊

Thank you for taking me along on your new adventure, as well as sharing all the news on Snoopy, as well as your latest purchases!!!!
The hot cross buns looked delicious. Seems like you are getting used to the new van just fine.
Hi Larry ❤️
@@LifeistooshortCK hello
Lovely as always! So cool to see how much you are enjoying Snoopy!
Thank you 🙂
Great Video. I have droned Hurst Castle, great place to visit
Ken your checks are like pre departure checks like on a flight deck I think it is a really good idea.
It does a the job 🙂👍
I love the “evil tin”! That made me laugh out loud. You both make your videos so comforting and cozy! The content is always interesting. Thank you for editing, filming, and narrating! Mary
You are welcome ❤️
Lovely to see you both chilled and so at home in Snoopy 😊🐕🚙
We are making the most of the extra wiggle room. You know what that is like from the van you used to have 😁👍
Thank you for another great video. Great scenery and lovely to see you both enjoying your new van.
Marvellous, what a relaxing time I have had enjoying your video this morning. Love the tip re the hill above Portsmouth we will try this out next time we're over there, which isn't too far away, later this month, can't wait. Love the check lists, very important, there is so much to think about when arriving and departing with complicated leisure vehicles. What a gorgeous gift the table cloth and mats are from a New Zealand viewer, so kind. They look great in use. Interesting Tower Freedom pans, we have Outwell Feast, which we're happy with at the moment. Naked noodles and stir fry veg, this is a great idea, which I think we will try on our next trip out in the campervan. Love the views of the New Forest, including old favourites like Lyndhurst, and Milford on Sea, Keyhaven. Thanks so much Carol, Ken and Snoopy xxxxx
You are welcome. ❤️
My cat's name is Kit Kat and she meowed at you every time you said Kit Kat.
We had a lovely cat called Kit Kat too! :)
You get some lovely sunsets from there
Longer version is better, thank you.
Great video keep up the good work
I love the meals you cook
Great pictures ,
Always a pleasure to see you pop up on my screen
You both look so happy in this one.❤
Thanks Denise 🙂
Another good vlog, Ken and Carol, thanks. KitKats are nice if kept in the fridge.
Always a disappointment when the food over promised & under delivers. The ponies are gorgeous 😍 It’s so easy when cosy in the van to drag ourselves out sometimes ☺️ Thanks, Em 💜
We agree 🙂 Thanks for watching ❤️
Love the new forest 😍
This is my neck of the woods. I live in south uk, so aways head new forest, Poole and Swanage areas
Wonderfull, Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching 🙂
It’s always wise to start a cold walk into the wind, you’re a smart guy Ken. I’m digging the longer format.
Thanks Jay 👍
we went for an amazon single ring induction cooker and dual gas/induction kettle. works very well
We are thinking of using an induction hob we used to have in the caravan 🙂👍
Reminds me of a saying, don't come knocking if the van is a rocking lol
Really looking at home in Snoopy now. Nice to see the picture of Little Red. Great to see you enjoying the space. Lovely video again.
Cheers Willie ❤️
More = good ❤. Loved it. ❤
The evening shots were beautifully done Ken and Carol. You’re still our favourite Friday night viewing. The new cameras look great.
Cheers. Pocket 3 is amazing at night. Your excellent channel is in episode 3 👍
@@LifeistooshortCK We can’t wait to see it. Have a great week ❤️
Beautiful filming. Love your videos. We ditched our kettle and just use our pan and lid & we have the same pans mixed with Tefal. Works really well.
Using just a pan makes sense. Saves cupboard space 👍
Thanks for taking us along on all of your journeys. The scenery, your descriptions and the music choices are all always very nice. (I like the long format. 🙂)
It's great that the shake down tour is finished and you're able to relax and fully enjoy Snoopy.
Glad you enjoyed it
The longer format is fine by me. You stirred up some memories for me again. That lookout point on Portsdown hill was a lunch stop for us in my younger days. There was a small Hospital close by where my maternal grandfather spent his last days and we'd visit him at weekends meet my mum and dad there before processing to........ well I suppose it was like a Hospice really and visit grandad. He actually lived on Hayling Island. My parents talked about moving back to the south coast for years and ummed and ahhed about where for years but eventually moved Hordle on the edge of the forest. The Ponies always had to be visited on the way down from Gloucestershire as when I visited I used to take my (then) young granddaughters with me to visit and well they insisted. Sometimes we'd find them over by the pond at Boldre and sometimes we'd find a bunch over on the New Milton Road but 8t had to be done or the three of them wouldn't have given me any peace. 😬 Sounds like you love the New Forest, like I do. If you do buy a Kettle to use via an inverter don't buy a household one, they drain your power really quickly. I used to use a travel one like the ones in Hotel rooms. Their about 800 Watts only and will boil around 1-1.5 litres and of course measure the water you put in but you know that don't you? Lovely to see around that way again as I don't get down very often these days as from Littlehampton through to Poole all my relatives have long gone now. Also it's great to have somebody to do the walking for me. Thanks to both of you. Your old friend "The Bruin ". Are you still drinking the Brown Bear Coffee? 🐻
Hi Nigel. We love the New Forest. My parents used to take me to a holiday camp on Hayling island. Some very happy memories of that. Yes we buy the occasional bag of coffee 👍
@@LifeistooshortCK Warners I expect. Most of the holiday places are gone now replaced by new roads of housing. I couldn't even find my grandfathers little Caravan site when I went to visit my cousin two years ago at Havant. Just ended up feeling really down with what it's become. Was glad to get back to the Shire frankly. Keep on truckin' .I'm looking forward to your next adventures. 🐻
EE are OWNED by BT guys , one and the same just different labels
Awesome video as always ❤
Thank you 🙂
Lol! You guys are getting "posher and posher" by the episode! How about a week of good ole' tent camping and campfire cooking just for old times sake? Three of us 80 year old guys still ski down from the TOP of the mountain just to prove to ourselves that we can still do it. Does wonders for the human spirit!
Couldn’t agree more. Watch next weeks episode 😁👍
Thanks
Thanks for the support Thomas❤️
Loving the longer format. Lovely to see a photo of little red 🚘 tea cakes looked delicious 😋
Glad you enjoyed it!
😊
Enjoyed this very much. Love the coziness of your 'home on wheels.' Greetings from Canada.
Glad you enjoyed it!
We live in the area of ports down hill and often go to the Churchill Ian. Enjoy x
Just got back from the New Forest, beautiful part of the country 👍
Love the quality of the video from the new camera👍
Good to know, thanks 👍
Hi all , when we saw you with that check list we had to laugh , our list is on a white t shirt with the check list written on it and we put it over the steering wheel so before we take off the list in front of us to check and boy you do miss things if you don’t check it off , like step , temperature gauge out side night lights dog bowl etc etc . Glad you are enjoying your new van So happy travels cheers from NZ , Liz and John
Whatever its on it’s worth it 😁👍
Looking cosy and comfy in your van. The EE dongle sounds like a good idea.ATB Ruth K🙂
Cheers Ruth 🙂
Omgoodness Charlie B.
You laid that beautiful table cloth. The covered it with old lady mats.
You inspire me to get up and enjoy.
Don't get dragged into OAP adornment 😅
😱
Thank You For That Super Video ❤️
Our pleasure 🙂
Very jealous, enjoy C&K 👍
Great episode kicking off the new series ….
Loved rock crawling with my grandson and his RC vehicles …
We’re getting posh with table cloth - what’s next a drinks trolley and smoking jackets 😂
Thanks for producing
We are interviewing staff this week 😁👍

I've been adapting noodle packets with fresh veg (and paneer) for years... it works fine and is great for one pot meals, particularly good for van life! I like trying different sorts - though fresh noodles are great, the packet ones are very handy. Do try the Maggi Curry Indian variety if you can find it (Tesco keep them, I know). I must try the Naked range. YAM xx
I just adore you both so much!!! We just bought a class B Mercedes RV camper van and we are learning so much from your channel! Much love and respect from Dallas Texas! 🤠⭐️🇺🇸
Thanks guys. Enjoy your new RV 🙂👍
Hi again,it,s Friday so just relaxing at home tonight, but watching your video, have a good weekend and happy travels Greetings from Stockholm Sweden
Thanks for watching. Enjoy your weekend 🙂
Another quiet Sunday morning with a cuppa tea 🍵 and dunking biscuits 😋 enjoying the delights served up meal wise 😊😊😊❤ having lots more manoeuvrability in Snoopy is a game changer, little red camper was fine,BUT not enough space, that problem has been addressed now,so life can be more comfortable 😊🎉
Exactly 👍
Funny how we remember certain places on our travels .(7.30 mins in )
Have many places i remember from Devon from 50 odd years ago , still presses those anticipation buttons even now .
Great vid done good on the new cam , allways a pain when you first get a new one , although youngsters would get it in a few mins .You will soon master it like a pro .
Im crap with new stuff takes me ages now .🤣
Ooh, you're in my patch! I parked where you did near Keyhaven when I visited Hurst Castle. There were vans on both sides of the road and it was a little tight in my coachbuilt. I had to move for the night as I was on the lower road and the high tide was going to be high 😬. It's funny, I think people get to the New Forest park-ups early too. Perhaps they are just trying to make the most of it. Thanks you two. Martin
It did get very busy there over Easter. Thanks for watching 🙂
Hi carol and ken another great video , I must say I've never eaten a pot noodle I must try 😊😊😊
The Naked Noodle brand is the best ☺️
I had a good laugh about the new camera.I probably couldn't even turn it on(sadly haven't kept up with technology not even a mobile 'phone). Some beautiful shots of moody weather clouds and all from the comfort of your cozy van, nice.I like the look of your new pots. The handles look easy to use.Enjoyed this one Carol and Ken.Safe travels.See you on the next.
We often feel the same with technology. With the coming of artificial intelligence change will be even faster. 🫣👍
I thought of an affectionate name for snoopy…. ‘Your little Humbug’! That’s what I think of when I see your gorgeous Van!! ❤❤
Haha. Love that ❤️
My fathers brother-in-law was on the job in Portsmouth back in the 1960-70s, before he and dad's sister immigrated to Aus, Portsdown Hill was part of his beat and a favourite area to walk his dogs.
Good to see you have sorted Snoopy and getting him ship shape, nothing wrong with a check list or two, and a toilet review as well , cheers, Garry from DownUnder
when you get to my age, you need three or four😁👍
@@LifeistooshortCK you mean when you get to OUR age 🤣
Wow thanks guys, brilliant to see you are managing to get some use out of the table cloth & place mats. I have used table cloths (cotton preferred) as best option to contain spillages, from running off table and into someone's lap, your seat or flooring (so easy to throw in washing machine - I keep around 2 or 3, also with large cloth napkins). When not in use, can be put around crockery & pots in cupboards/draws to stop rattling or chipping your crystal & china!! (Sourced from 'Hospice Shop' Op Shop in Gore, New Zealand). I have some table clips and the 4 remaining placemats, ready to post you soon. I recall stops and ventures into the New Forest, one of the first was the weekend Diana & Charles got married, saw fireworks in Green Park the night before and then watched the wedding from the Strand... then drove down to Lyndhurst to stay a couple of nights (to escape the clamour in London). Also saw the New Forest Agricultural Show, around the same time, was one of few shows in UK then that had live demonstrations of historical methods, like thatching. I wonder if there are still or if you may see any of the wild ponies? Must have been so tiring watching the ponies Ken!! Other visits I have had were staying a night in local hotel prior to going on ferry to Le Havre (Normandy, France) sometimes and at other times from Santander (Basque Country, Spain). The Santander crossing is 24 hours and across the Bay of Biscay, that can be very very rough at times. Great to see you out and about again, though it looks rather cold (here we are into early winter - wet, cold & windy, c7C - South Otago, New Zealand). New DJI camera looks challenging, seems to much use on a full size tripod?? Take care & stay safe, both of you. Kia Ora from New Zealand. 💜💜💜 PS: Looks like you needed a thermos flask of hot soup for your walk.
Thanks for the table cloth. It’s getting plenty of use. The new cameras will take a bit of getting used to but I will crack it 😁👍
We bought the tefal ones and never use the lids, so I think we're leaving those at home.
No point taking things that will never get used 👍 🙂
Hello to you both,
Wow another great video and a knew series am enjoying this very muchi was in ye new forest when i was about 15 i to loved the horse 🐎🐎🐎's.
I never know anyone pit water when frying eggs. Very different.
❤take care, lovely to see you x x x
give it a try, make sure the pan is hot and you’ll find that it’s steams the yolks beautifully without overcooking them.
Another lovely video, really enjoyed watching as ever and the 'pot noodle' stir fry looked quite inspired! Can't beat an egg sandwich either and Carol seems to cook them perfectly, I will be trying the plate and water trick on our next trip to the Lakes. At the moment we can't do much more than hire a camper for holidays, but doing so has definitely given us the bug! Enjoy your travels, thanks for sharing and all the work filming and editing.
You are welcome 👍
That's a pub 😊
That's a good pub 😊
thank you that, it was great. Good to see the New forest.
we always keep rice cakes and oat cakes for breakfast, just incase with smooth peanut butter or soft cheese, its actually quite filling to keep you going.
Also i like the idea of pot noodle naked as a meal & we have done this , i usually cut up the vegetables smaller so they cook quicker, also porridge tubs are good for quick breakfast. with raisins in, keep a pack in the cupboard .
looks chilly in the photos so it must of been in April?
well done with the new camera and thank you for the dongal tip. always find your vlogs funny and your banter together is great!!
makes me laugh. x
Thanks for the breakfast tips. We try some instant porridge on our next trip to Scotland 🙂👍
