This is absolutely astonishing! Initially I included holes in the chassis and interior for cables; these seem to have been omitted somewhere during moulding - and I didn't notice this; good you found a way by putting them through the bogie clip. Lovely way you installed that light above the office desk! I placed the openings above the corridor where the real car has the lights, so they are at the right place. However LED strips rarely come in the right spacing. I guess at some point model lighting will be done by OLED or similar which offer the same brightness all long the car (especiallyy important for open interior). Now just put some sleeping people in, of course with big baggage as it can always be found in these Russian trains ... Do you have some ideas or suggestions on how to design models to make the installation of lights easier? Cheers from the designer!
Thanks for this tutorial, Peter! I have the same train (Moscow-Paris) with Re 460 of SBB in a classic red livery) and I hope to complete it with a PKP restaurant.
Amazing! I'm astonished. Great way to install light inside these cars. Did you think to install lights also inside nightjet sleeping cars yet? Could you make a video about it? A friend of mine would install them in his nightjet set, but we don't know what to do.
Thank you Alex!, like most of us i have a lot of models and projects but not enough time. I simply stopped posting the videos as they are very time-demanding. Peter
Very nicely done. The effect is very realistic. Would it be possible to install a small DCC decoder in each car, so you can switch some lights on/off? Or isn't there enough room for this?
Yes, you definitely can. There is a lot of space under the roof line for installation of individual - small decoder. There is a lot of space on the "toilets end" of each car and without windows.
Pozdrawiam.
The contacts are included with every car. If you are looking for a way of improving the contacts take a look at this video: czcams.com/video/DePMj6fJVyQ/video.html
Very good

Dear Peter! Please tell me where to buy slip plates? Or made personally?
Hi Oleg, are you asking about the electrical pickups / wheel contacts? If yes they were included with the models.
В какой стране он живёт?
USA
Где брать эти комплектующие, контакты, для доработки вагона освещением? Where to get these components, wheel contacts, to improve the car lighting?
The contacts are included with every car. If you are looking for a way of improving the contacts take a look at this video: czcams.com/video/DePMj6fJVyQ/video.html
