Today's excursion led us to the magnificent Topkapi Palace, or Topkapı Sarayı, the former grand residence of the Ottoman Sultans during their golden age. Located in the historic epicentre of Istanbul, this converted palace now serves as a museum, displaying Islamic sacred artefacts and relics. It welcomes history aficionados from 09:00 to 18:00, except on Tuesdays, with the ticket office closing at 17:30. Positioned in the Fateh district, Topkapi Palace allows visitors to explore the lavish world of the Ottoman nobility, providing an intriguing insight into the lives of the sultans and their royal court.
