One thing I learned in this journey is that the pain or trauma is not trying to hurt you, it’s trying to teach you a lesson so you can move on.

@@RinZ3993 it thought me a lot about myself and others and it taught me there’s nothing to be afraid of
A lot of my self sabotage comes from fear of failure and the idea of "if I don't really try I can't really fail" or "if I fail on purpose it doesn't count"

For anyone wondering how to change ur unconscious habits/patterns/wants
I think get in tune with urself, meditate, journal (reflect on ur actions/feelings and understand why or where they come from and release them from urself), learn to trust ur self (stick to plans/commitments etc…), and maybe subliminals - working on the subconscious belief and habits

Makes sense. Your beliefs affect your actions, your actions will reinforce your beliefs and the cycle repeats.
In the clothing store he wanted to go in the direction of shirts that fit, but went in another direction.
Lol nah I’m pretty sure it fits exactly how it was designed to. Some people like looser fits - but if you look at the sleeves, it looks almost tailor made for him, so that’s why I don’t think the loose parts are accidental.
The beauty of this comment is that you could say this to his face and he would genuinely not care. Really not care. The man's an inspiration
His clothing choices are strategic. He intentionally wears unfashionable clothing to show people that even with unpopular looking clothes you can still be confident in yourself.
It's a gold wisdom about the subconscious inner conflicts
self sabotage is always a protector of some sorts. A part of us trying to protect us from hurt that is projected from a past experience.

Yeah I think my self sabotage is trying to protect the part of me that wants to be perfect - and to not do the thing (by procrastinating) feels less scary than facing those fears of not doing it perfectly. This last year I am trying to intentionally do things imperfectly, that helps!
I agree to an extent, but I also think it can be due to other factors such as fear or complicated relationships, etc. Nothing is that clear-cut, but a lot of things are probably governed by the unconscious to the point it runs your life, either positively or negatively so

I don't think people actually really reflect their behavior when they say that.

How do i fix it?
I wonder how to unstick yourself from the procrastination of not doing what you want to do. I really struggle with perseverance because in my mind ive already fucked it up/it wont work out, so it feels almost like a waste no matter how much i want to succeed.
Definitely stuck! I did however end up in a very different relationship and had a 180 with that. I just need a little guidance and direction so I know where to take off! When you lose yourself is when those issues happen I think.

If as a kid, if someone have an abusive parent they're more likely to seek an abusive partner. I once heard this on youtube short from robert green just cant find it and understand it further.

What do you think about medically assisted suicide/humane suicide etc whatever term people want to call it? The US hasn’t even asked the question to be able to have this debate yet but some European countries for example have it fully implemented, curious how you see that

But fixing it isn’t always as easy as described I’ve watched and attended 100’s of videos and workshops etc

Trauma patients do this even if it was an extreme trauma just some bad childhood I mean so many people are this way and they don't want to be this way clinical psychologist always suggest therapy before medicine or sometimes combined and this does help you can't get through this alone just but you're just chanting the same thing as saying I'll be okay tomorrow if I try a different thing you're not saying anything different sweetheart this is a genetic problem or traumatic problem it's not that simple
