I recommend moved to Ecuador for the next year, especially if you wanna get a house or apartment, those are cheaper than in U.S in whatever place in Ecuador, for example a house 200m2 it cost probably 150.000$ or less
as a last option we can all live anywhere in my opinion the best country in the world is usa and you can live very cheaply, only you have to invest in infrastructure to receive money to pay for your comfort

Hello there I'm at a 100 percent DAV myself. I have just recently been looking to move out of the United States and you can't get medical care as a disabled veteran in different countries. . It's called the FMP the foreign medical program at the Department of Veterans Affairs. I have not done it yet because I'm just now researching thinking about maybe Panama or Ecuador she sounds like an adventure to me. Anyway looking forward to checking it out. Linda Btw. it's just going to be me and my little doggie going on an adventure
Well it all depends on your personal choice. If you want a busy/ noisy place you can go to a big town. Otherwise you can stay a peaceful place like Cotacachi. I personally love those kind of towns. It works perfectly fine to me
I’m flying down to Ecuador in three weeks to check out Cuenca, Ciudad Del Mar and Quito. Thanks for the info, you’re a lovely lady!

Thanks for the precious information. In Cuenca is there a neighborhood you recommend? Where the ex-pat normally stayed?
How about Ibarra? It's much larger than Cotacachi and better climate apparently, also it's really close to it.
Thank you. Can you tell us about any small, quiet coast/beach towns you like?

Cotacachi is boring. One gas station, two bars, and a handful of restaurants.
