I’ve played through Link’s Awakening on Switch twice now & haven’t noticed any performance issues on either playthrough. It wasn’t until viewing videos such as this very recently that I knew people had issues with it
Do you think we're gonna see Switch 2 ports of Switch games or will Nintendo have backwards compatibility that improves load times, graphics, etc?
One wants to play games and the other just look at games...
so sad some people prioritize graphics over gameplays....games = FUN ...not graphics so much
Graphics and art style both help immersion

Link’s awakening is a nightmare to find here in the uk (physical copy)
Why is that? I’ve seen it here in the states at all the stores (Walmart, Target, BB etc) did yall only get a limited run?
I’m sure you already looked but maybe eBay or mercari will be better. eBay is where I buy most physical games these days. Usually 4-8 dollars cheaper than retailers

Strange how fps is mentioned as an issue for links awakening. I'm always swapping between 30-240fps games and I don't remember having any issues, although stayed in docked mode.
Links Awakening, on Yuzu, was a blast!
Link's Awakening Switch is great. I didn't notice any issues with it. I love that game's look so this game is a welcome surprise. I'm not sure why (and is probably just me) but some games seem to hide framerate issues better than others?

i really hope this game doesn't have frame rate dips... Link's Awakening on Switch surprisingly had a lot that weren't ironed out... the swamp area was almost unplayable...
I wouldn't say drops to 30fps being "unplayable" but it was quite jarring.
@@joeylalonde3458 the swamp in particular stuttered like crazy.. i don't know if it was the water or all the enemies on screen, fish jumping out of the water, plant enemies, etc.. but it's the worst spot in the game for sure... i can't deal with that 60 to 30 drop.. it's too detracting and I'm not one who typically complains about framerate even if it's a stable 30fps so if it's that abundant in Echoes of Wisdom I might actually pass on the game and just watch walkthroughs of the game instead...

@@_sparrowhawk i don't game on PC bro.. i have a Switch and a PS4 that's it.. I'm very selective nowadays when it comes to gaming but I don't tend to miss out many Nintendo first-party stuff as I love a lot of thier IPS- Mario, Zelda, & Metroid being the big 3 for me... can't wait for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond... I just wasn't satisfied w/ Link's Awakening's performance, it's a good game, one of the better 2D Zeldas but those frame rate dips hindered the experience playing it for me...

I give nintendo props. It must have taken a stroke of creative genius to not make the plot: save Zelda and kill Gannon for the 20th time.

zelda is not about story its about the jurney and its an adventure game lol , and that tipical story of a hero saving a princes is a classic timeless story witch started from mario

What you guys consider to be 'woes' for a top down Zelda game is invisible to most players. Nintendo needs fighting games, racing games and shooting games to be 60FPS, not this kinda of game.
It looks ok. But $60 is ridiculous for such a game. It should be either $30-40. The game looks like from the days of the SNES. Thus not worth it.
