When Shimo fired her ice breath into the sky she was creating a new ice age. When Godzilla fired his atomic breath into the sky he was releasing the energy he collected and undoing Shimo's ice age.

there is a reason for that because of the director of this movie and the director of Minus one watched their cats one day sleeping and then both realized that is how and why Godzilla acts the way he does

The epic movie where Kong got the Infinity Gauntlet and Godzilla got Super Saiyan Rose. I got major Kratos and Atreus vibes from Kong and Suko and I don’t know why. I give this movie an 8/10

Actually, Mini-Kong's name is Suko. And when you kept saying "Star King" you misheard that part. It's "Skar King".

Fun fact: The in Universe reason Godzilla Sleeps in the Colosseum is because it reminds him of his old home The Underwater Temple in Godzilla King of the Monsters (2019) which was destroyed during his resurrection in the movie.

Yeah Mary, this installment of this franchise was ridiculously surprising in so many ways. Kong finding others like him, Godzilla having a new look and Jia realizing that she’s not the last of her people, if not, never was to begin with. To be honest, I too thought that she would stay with them since she was literally out of place with the rest of the world that she’s basically an alien to everyone else. I guess she can live her life knowing that everything that she knew about her people and their culture will live on after she’s gone becase they live in the one place where no one, except Monarch would dare to go.
Mini Kong is the same size as Kong in his first movie... when they all got to the earth we know, towards the end, Shimo was going to make another iceage, so she blasted the sky with her breath, and then after the fight was over, Godzilla reversed what Shimo did, by blasting the sky with his Atomic Breath...

The way skar king does the whole "get a load of this fucking guy!"(points n laughs)......."DID I SAY U ARE ALLOWED TO LAUGH!!!" lol. That scene always makes me chuckle. I love how even tho they don't speak we can still tell what they're feeling ect. Like when kong accidentally knocks a ape off the cliff, he goes for the save out of pure instinct and kindness regardless of if they were literally JUST tryna kill him!! Then when the ape tries to kill him after the save the look on kong was a "oh hell naw! This mfer takes me for a bitch!!" Then proceeds to spartan kick his ungrateful ass off the cliff he just saved him from lol.. like "naw i saved ur ass cuz it was the right thing to do, NOT CUZ IM A PUSHOVER OR SOME KIND OF BITCH!! ARE WE CLEAR!!!" Kong is too innocent and kind to even think that saving a life shows "weakness" in the eyes of a predator. that moment showed him 1st hand that same species or not they are NOT his freinds. U can see in kongs face when he finds skar kings slave colony exactly why those apes were hostile.. they were scared, overworked and treated like shit.. the look on kongs face even with no spoken dialogue u can tell what kong is thinking seeing all these apes cowering in fear even tho they completely out number skar king 50 to 1 lol.. I love all the scenes that show how forgiving kong is too, the lil dude tried to set his ass up TWICE!! once at the cliff n once at the lake, n lil man still had the audacity to ask kong for food!? which kong promptly gave him right away literally just 10 mins after he tried to set him up..
Some of the Great Apes have individual names: according to TV Tropes, according to the novel, the one with the blind right eye 👁 (and Skar King's main enforcer) is fittingly called "One-Eye" and is apparently one of Skar King's many children alongside Suko and other infants 🤔😓. The one that Kong tries to save from falling off the cliff but ends up having to kick him off the cliff for real in self-defense because he was a sorry little ingrate who still attempted to kill Kong after he had just saved his life 😠😡🙄😒🤨, his name was Stone Fist 👊 ✊️ 🤛 🤜. Another one of the initial attackers along with One-Eye and Stone Fist was called Catcher. Another one of Skar King's goons, the one crushed by Kong's giant swinging stone trap was apparently called Knob. The ape who was Suko's caretaker whom Skar King brutally murdered in front of Suko and Kong, his name was Gnarled Finger, and while "friend" might be going a bit far, the novelization reveals that, prior to meeting Kong, Gnarled Finger was the only Great Ape to treat Suko with any measure of kindness by letting him eat the scraps of his meals and shielding 🛡 him from being attacked by the other apes 🥺😣😔. And the Great Ape slave that Kong helps up and beats up the bully that was abusing him, while not named in the movie, was named "Boots" by the movie's vfx animators 🤔😉.
I liked thd human storyline with jia and jia and her adoptive mum storyline character arc and k thought there were fun human characters

I love the natural progression of the bond between Kong and Suko. Even with that "I'll beat a motherfucker with another motherfucker" moment. The fact that Jia was prophesized as a hero who could rouse Mothra from her slumber is amazing, as is her meeting other members of her tribe. Also, I not only lo the part where Kong lobs a rock and creams the one ape in the head, but the "Aw, shut up" punch on the ape annoyingly running his mouth a few seconds before Kong met Skar King,
Fun fact: Dan Stevens (Trapper) also played The Beast in the Beauty And The Beast remake.

Pretty much every creature in this movie, including godzilla's pink design, was created by the artistic mastermind Jared Krichevsky. He's an incredible artist and creature designer!
This movie was amazing especially when Godzilla and King Kong teamed up at the end OMG love the video mary stay motivated Dream big 1 mill on the way
I understood why jia wanted to stay with Rebecca hall's character as well as if she stayed with her own people

The 10th Anniversary of The MonsterVerse.
These iconic titans together have given us nothing but goodness.
Kong for 90 years, Godzilla for 70 years and being part of this has been so entertaining.
Movie No. 5, GxK is amazingly good.
I saw it IMAX 3D with a packed house, opening weekend.
The science, history, culture of this universe is vast.
Some people go to watch these movies for the battles, but the background of such things are interesting to me and because everything has a reason to exist.
The human characters are important (they are).
Subtle connections from us to these beasts and beyond aren't just because of the same world, different levels.
These Titans are the showstoppers, established or newly introduced, ally or threat.
Loved the homages to the classic films with Godzilla's newer colors (Godzilla 2000 from 1999)
and Kong's Powerhouse mechanism harnessing energy (King Kong vs. Godzilla from 1962).
As for the battles, they are beyond incredible with the effects and Mo Cap, savage yet articulated.
After all the hype and success of this film, you gotta wonder what could happen next?
So much more they can pull from the classics to add in for this universe.
Either way, we want more.
Just imagine, if you want, that Kong and Shimo become a couple and parents to Mini-Kong (Suko).
This movie finally gave us "King Kong" at the end ❤
If Godzilla did not evolve he would not stand a chance against Shimo and despite his new evolved State Godzilla barely could hold his ground against the Goliath beasts. Godzilla initial size comparison that is Cannon to the monsterverse Godzilla was around 164 ft. Then in the Godzilla initial introduction in the 2014 Godzilla movie he's around 328 feet tall. After the events of the 2019 movie Godzilla king of the monsters movie he measures around 384 ft. While Godzilla did evolve in this movie he did not get any bigger he only gained a 20x multiplier onto his output of atomic energy. So if you're wondering how did Godzilla survive his initial encounter against shimu and the scar king's army there was another Godzilla that helped him in battle. The other Godzilla was name dagon which they shown his corpse in the first Godzilla movie that had the two mutos seeds in its belly that was uncovered in the Philippines mine incident.
He didn't fight shimo the first time. Scarking didn't even find her until godzilla defeated and banished them to hollow earth. He Solo'd them on his own, he didn't have any other help. Dragon wasn't around as he was most likely already dead. Muto prime killed dagon.
Barley could hold his own? It was fairly even and he was holding back knowing that shimo wasn't a willing participant in scarking's plan. Plus, it was stated in the novel that it's a 50/50 between him and shimo when he goes into his supercharged state
Great reaction, Mary!!!! ✌️👋 This is my new favorite of the Monsterverse franchise!!! Mini Kong is the best!!! Suggestion. You might want to check out the original KING KONG from 1933. The effects, which were groundbreaking at the time, still hold up very well, even after 61 years. Also, the original GODZILLA (GOJIRA in Japanese) from 1954 is a great film to watch, too. If you watch that one, make sure you see the original Japanese version with English subtitles. It's far superior to the cut down English version released in the U.S. in 1956. Love you, Mary!!! ✌️❤️

They turned these movies into silly wrestling matches. The human stories haven't been compelling at all. It was so difficult watching this one after the fantastic Godzilla-1. I'm really glad that Adam Wingard won't be back. That's cool about Rebecca Hall, though. She's a great actress. It's a shame that she's doing this thankless role.

34:21-34:37 The full ending is shown in the novelization. Bernie, Ilene and Jia stay with the Iwi in Hollow Earth while Trapper leaves, promising that he'll visit them soon. There was also a scene of Jia trying to teach Suko (Mini-Kong) sign language.
This is the type of movies that you need to see in the theaters.

I'm watching the Extras on my 4k Disc of this movie and it looks like the Hollow Earth jungle stuff was shot in Australia. Adam Wingard is wearing a big goofy green "Australia" hat with an orange kangaroo on it. And they keep saying they're in Australia

The thing that got me when I first watched it is that the CGI seemed a bit “off”… I couldn’t put my finger on what it was, but something just didn’t seem as high quality as the previous movies to me
I’ve said this before, but I love how it seems like Godzilla actively doesn't want to be here. He spends the whole movie getting stronger so he can end the fight as soon as possible and go back to bed. He HATES Kong and all the wacky adventures he goes on, and is guilt-tripped by Mothra into helping him. He's an unwilling participant in his own movie and its kinda hilarious.
That look he gives Kong at the end after Kong smirks at him is, “If it wasn’t for Mothra, I’d have left you for dead with a smile on my face. I had to beat on 3 women today (Scylla, Tiamat, Shimu), and being associated with you has been my lowest moment today”

Great reaction. Great movie. But I swear only like 1 out of every 10 reactors understand that Godzilla was just breaking up Shimo's ice clouds with his atomic breath at the end. Not making a portal. That was just clever editing. So many people don't get that.
Also Mary, you losing track of who was getting frozen at the end made me lol. Maybe you have Titan face blindness?
