Watchmen Review: This Movie Wasn't as Bad I Thought!

In this video I'm reviewing Watchmen. This movie came out in 2009 never saw it until now and the film is better than I thought it would be!

1. Rorschach carried the movie beginning to end with great detective story and narrative. My only issue with him is the fact he kills criminals and he insults his former teammates which I'm glad Daniel (Nite Owl) called him out on that in the movie.
2. Daniel (Nite Owl) and Lori (Silk Spectre) made an interesting love story although I'm not a big fan of adultery. Although giving to Dr Manhattan's personality, it doesn't feel much of a love triangle. Good thing is that their fight scenes were the most fun to look at especially the prison one. Don't need to bring up the Ship scene unless anyone likes to talk that kind of thing.
3. Comedian and Dr Manhattan are my least likable character choices but they were the most important key to the stories. With the Comedian, being the main plot, was a murder case Rorschach was trying to solve, and then throughout the movie, we became see him a superhero with no moral code AT ALL, went as far as to violate one of his teammates, shot down a pregnant girl after the Vietnam War, showing lack of respect to his teammates especially Ozymandias. As Rorschach stated, he was trying to be a parody of human nature because to him, humans are savages.
4. What I learn about Dr. Manhattan throughout the movie is that he is the powerful being in their universe and yet has no goals nor principles or any interest in being a superhero. It's characters like Dr Manhattan that show having powers doesn't make us a superhero nor is it our backstory, it's our ideals, morals, principles, beliefs, and what we are willing to give to the world and what legacy we leave behind.
5. Ozymandias is what i would say one of if not THE BEST villains in fiction. His plan to end the war by tricking everyone into believing Dr Manhattan attack several cities around the world but was actually bombs powered by his energy was the evil genius plan of all kinds of entertainment. As you said it yourself, it was the ends justify the means, and it's the exact kind of plotting you would expect from a world conquering villain. Of course, I never agree with the ideology because it justifies bad behavior, bad intention, and possibly the worst actions you could do to a person based on winning results. It's like allowing your child to get away any kind of bad conduct as long as they bring good grades from school.
