      i enjoyed the movies...i dont get what the fuck people are complaining about....these are good movies. i was highly entertained. i cared about the characters....the first and third were much better than the second but they were all good movies. I've enjoyed myself, and am happy with all the new canon content we get to play with now. the warp maneuver makes complete sense to me....you move in relative space for a while before you dip into subspace. so if you time it just right you can jump into ships BUT to be able to time it properly is randomly variabled....the same location might take anywhere from 35 seconds to enter subspace or much much less...we dont really know how their drives worked and never did....but it is theoretically possible. especially without a dumbass AI doing it for you....we all know how C-3P0 felt about going through an asteroid field....and that was hardly an inconvenience.

    So Rey has a channel to the power of the cosmic Force through Ben solo, while Ben solo has a channel to corporeal existence through Rey. Essentially, neither one can really die while the other one lives. I think this means that the Skywalker saga, as Disney likes to call it, is nowhere near finished. This leaves open way too many possibilities. I think all it means is that the storyline seeded from the original trilogy, is over.

      So then Snoke did lie about bridging their minds? Because I always thought (1) that's not how the Force works and (2) he/Palps didn't seem to know shit about the testament of Rey & Ben's bond considering they've consistently used it to their advantage against him. If anything, I think it was the Force itself that allowed the connection/bond/dyad to happen in its attempt to create balance. Similar to how it was arguably the Force that created Anakin in its attempt to fight back against Plagueis' meddling.

    Very superficial way of explaining dyad in the force. According to you both are acting out of self interest and not out of compassion or because they care for each other. Their connection goes deeper than just sharing great power. Its intimate and deep. They are soulmates basically. Also, we dont see Kylo Ren struggle with the dark side in first two movies? Its seems like we watched completely different movies. Kylo Ren was always conflicted and never truly loyal to the dark side. His struggle is present since the force awakens.

    • @HarryG98
      @HarryG98 Před 4 lety +3

    • @NaomiTCOOKIES
      @NaomiTCOOKIES Před 4 lety +23

      @@HarryG98 I don't think Kylo Ren was ever fully committed to the Dark side. Committment to the dark side affects your appearance, degrading your body like Palpatine and Anakin and possibly leading to yellow eyes. We see In TFA, Kylo Ren's face looks fresh, young and healthy. In TLJ, his face notably looks dull and unhealthy, demonstrating his conflict with the dark/light. But he does not yet have the look of a fully committed dark side force user. In TROS, his face looks amazing after Rey heals him - he looks the healthiest we've ever seen him. But never does he show any sign of full commitment to the dark side like when Anakin's eyes turned yellow. He was always struggling with the light and that's why it was ultimately by Ben's own power does he forsake Kylo Ren and reclaim his identity as Ben Solo after his final fight with Rey.

    I’m pretty sure them being a dyad in the force means they are in love with each other cause for someone to give there life for another’s is considered the highest level of respect and love towards someone in the force (also would like to add the only way you give your life for another’s is when your sole is pure and your heart and that persons heart are truely one) So when Rey died ben Truly loved her and gave his life in order to save hers the love they have for each other is shown through the films. Ben solo was able to do this when he was reedemed as a Jedi Rey saw this and her love to awards him was shown If anyone can help finish off what I’m saying then. I think it’s important to see that Rey really did love Ben it’s clear to see this when she said she says the last Jedi you will not bow before snoke you will turn I’ll help you I swear it. Rey wanted to take his hand bens hand the person she knows he is inside the person who’s sole is split to the bone kylo REN died when Rey stabbed him and healed him. All those times ren said that Rey would stand with him he was just missing the point that it would be him standing with her as the last relative of a skywalker and her a palptine. They where ment to be together and jj arbhams thought fuck it let’s ruin the best love story in Star Wars. Ben was living in fear his whole life and in the Star Wars universe we all know where that leads Luke tells Rey fear kept him on the island and master yoda before fear leads to anger anger leads to pain pain leads to suffering. Failure is the biggest teacher and it’s present in all the movies. Poor Ben solo did suffer he was searching for the person he desired to be like but was getting tormented by his feelings for Rey that’s why he could never hurt her. Thank you for reading X

The only person confused/annoyed about Rey’s abilities is Kylo and that’s because she is thwarting his efforts. She never questions it, no one else questions it. She doesn’t struggle with understanding why she is able to do these things with literally no training. Someone came up with this force dyad shit, wrote it down and shoved it up abrams ass for him to pull out.

    Does that mean then that when Ben died/became a force ghost, he like...lives on in her? Because at the end when Rey is back on tattooine, she says she’s a skywalker, only Luke & Leia are there, and no Ben. If it’s a whole ‘skywalker’ family thing, it wouldn’t make sense that he isn’t there. Since they’re a force dyad (kinda similar to Harry Potter and Voldemort if you think about it) and they will always be a part of each other, maybe Ben can’t die while Rey is alive, so he’s a force ghost within her, and that’s why she’s a skywalker now?

    Spoiler! The first scene of Episode X is Rey in Tatooine all by herself when suddenly you see a black gloved hand placed on her shoulder and a small smile run through her as she reaches up to take Ben’s hand. He’s alive and well because his mother gave up any last bit of life force in her to revive her son, essentially forcing his life force back into existence. Rey helped him out of Exegol and they’ve been hunkered down on Tatooine for a few months. When in that opening scene, the camera pans out to reveal Finn with a look of absolute horror at the fact that (to him) “Kylo Ren” is alive and she has potentially joined him. Finn has no idea that Kylo Ren is dead and this is Light-Bound Ben Solo. And that Rey has married him and that together they will bring balance to the galaxy through complete knowledge of both dark and light and using it for good.
    The balance that Qui-Gon Jinn had been talking about all along was THIS. No Jedi can be complete without knowing the dark side that is in their nature. This is the fundamental teachings of the entire Star Wars universe. We are ALL fundamentally flawed and we have to take the good and the bad. Master Yoda said it best, “The greatest teacher, failure is.”

    Maybe, since the force is pretty much all-knowing and exists outside of normal spacetime, they are a dyad in the force BECAUSE eventually Kylo would give his life force to Rey and become one with her. My guess... Rey's force presence/power died at the end when she died and she was brought back by the last of Kylo's force presence/power. So when Kylo died, she just returned to her normal self but probably less powerful than when she and Kylo were at their peak. She and Kylo had been drain of their life force and Kylo having given her what little of it that remained of his.
    A god level Rey really serves no further narrative exploration for her continuing story in the universe. Granted, with all the changes they made to the force in this latest movie, it's kinda difficult already to go anywhere from this point.

She was so invested in bringing him back to the light, had a very clear tension between them and loooads of feelings and then, as he RETURNS AS BEN SOLO, FIGHTS ON HER SIDE, KISSES HER, AND DIES TO SAVE HER she goes on JUST FINE.

Shame they cut all significant mention of this from Episode 9 as it does actually help make some sense of the previous 2 Movies and even justifies the Mary Suedom of Rey. It might also explain to some degree why Kylo looses every fight he gets in too. Or even why Rey heals him - she felt compelled to do so & didn't simply do it as she felt guilty about stabbing him.
    The downside is it does diminish the Reylo a bit. It also make Kylo seem like a different person up to the point he gets Mentally glued to Rey.
