I'm glad to see that people still think the same after such a long time. Aion was happiness for me and a distraction of real life, it was a comfortable place, a warm place, a place with a lot to discover, a lot of new people to meet and memories to make. I wasn't that good at the game, hell I didn't even grind a lot, but I enjoyed the game on my own terms with some friends and it was amazing.

I dedicated my whole childhood to this game, for seven long years... I don't regret a single minute of all the people I met, all the experiences, all those nice memories that one can safeguard during all these years, I learned English thanks to AION, I traveled to Spain and Argentina to meet the people I met there, although I am retired I would like to go back someday.
I hear ya, brother. I played it from launch until it went F2P. Went down-hill after that. Had some of the best experiences in my life so far.
I miss it when MMO's made me WANT to log in & play every day instead of FORCE me to play every day to get rewards.

As a person who has played ALOT of games over the years. I quite alot of times leave a game behind for something new or better. But once in a while i stumble upon something that brings me back to that time, when i used to play. Memories comes back of the moments that used to be memorable, the people i met, and everything else in between. Many may frown upon this and say ''It's just a game'', but for me it's an experience. And many of those experiences i remember fondly. Meeting new people, doing things together and having the time of my life. Coming over this song, gives me such a moment. Wishing i was back a few years with the people i used to hang out with. The people may be long gone, but the feeling and memories are still here.
***** I feel you. I met my best friend through playing games. I've made another best friend by playing games with that person. Much of the hate and frowned looks Video Games get nowdays. It has helped me, and im sure many other people improve their lives. And Video Games in my opinion, has created one of the best music, animated clips and stories of all times.

I had the same experience with Aion and this song always brings me memories as well. The people I met during my adventure in Aion were my closest friends and I won't forget them, as well as the game itself. This one is my favorite Aion OST and will always be.

I was a crafting King. Had every design you could get. Had all the lvl 40 and 50 balic recipes/designs. literally made billions from selling skins alone. I would grind in the abyss like a mofo on acid. Ended up being a fashion queen. I remember the opening music when I played it from launch... It was like I was in another universe. There were 12 servers and sometimes an hour wait to join. Most under rated game of all time.

This was Aion at it's best. The music, the pvp, the fort sieges, all of 4.0 to 4.7 were the best times. 4.8 killed what I loved most about Aion.

Its been literal years, and I still reminisce and miss this game so much. I still can't quite get over how much potential NCsoft wasted turning it into a mobile gacha game for PC.

You can setup your own 4.7.5 private server; and if you can find the 4.7.5 client somewhere, you can still gain access to those areas even just for nostalgia purposes.

Even i don't want to play I just log in, pass to the Red Katalam, port to the south, hide myself somwhere and listen this theme. It is amazing feeling. Now i understand, that a full version was in old patches and old Katalam. I didn't play this era, but i can listen it here. Thank You.

This music for me is the saddest music i ever hear coz i mourn Sillus fortress battles, ALL of the mounts of Katalam, the shugos from Danaria, Tia and Sarpan too. I hope once the developers of Aion brings back this 4 countries and many ppl can have fun there again.
look what ncsoft did with us now... launching aion 2 as a mobile game... they destroyed all our hopes little by little.. removing forts.. removing regions.. and now they totally ruined aion forever... we didnt deserved this.
At least with crimson katalam we can remind the good old days just by walking around the map ♥️

I grown up with Aion..I have a lot of sad memories of my life.. Aion has been my family for a lot, and Helped me a lot... I think that no one can say "It's just a game! come on man, don't be a pussy, wake up" because all are different. In my case, I'll never forget aion. They made Sarpan and Tia then they removed it. They made Katalam and Danaria then they removed it. They made Cygnea and Vengar then they removed it. They made Eltnen/Moheim for 10 years then they removed it. They made crafting system then they replaced it. They regret with their decision then they introduced Aion Classic so that people pay for their mistakes. and repeat.
It's never too late to create a new memory. The past will remain and will never be forgotten. The new ones will add.
Just came here to cry for all the good memories that were made here. 4.0-4.7 will never ever be forgotton, it was Aion at its peak. The current shit show is just...:( Ereshkigal needs to do a better job next time and just wipe atreia for good before we see it become more ruined..
I always flew (or teleported) to sillus fortress to listen last 3 minutes of this perfect motivation song and then let's go kill ASMO, Faith and Arms, brothers!

Thank you for this :) I was active in 2013-2014 on Anuhart, EU. I made a lot of beautiful memories on Aion and although I'm not in a situation where I can go back to the game anymore, I still find myself coming back to listen to the soundtracks as well as staring at wallpapers of the beautiful Aion scenery which I've set as my PC background

В версии 4 и выше играл очень мало, но этот трек просто до мурашек пробирает и вызывает нереальное чувство ностальгии, по тем далеким и очень приятным временам, по людям с которыми на тот момент играл, по тем эмоциям, которые испытывал, но и конечно по самой лучшей игре , которая останется в моей душе навсегда))

This BG music piece is soo beautiful and it really makes me sad that I know that katalam is now forever gone!! Plus katalam was me and my friends hang out zone. Also, It was fun pvping there even though sometimes there are zergs but it was funny to see some transforms and we all run our ass off. I mean I know in 4.8 you can do the same but having to wait on a rift just isn't worth my time. Also, it's hard as fuk to get over the guards when ur being chased down by so many. If I could see katalam one more time, I'd give up anything

A Fortress thought destroyed...returns in "Crimson Katalam". (NA-Server patch of January 2020) It was an epic adventure to return after all these years while hearing the soundtrack in-game! A return to the Snowy Lands; among the mountains, where 'Latasia-DN' calls home.

Well idk,Aion has changed way too much,some good parts that it had such as Tia Eye,Katalam its all gone,i know theres new regions but they shouldnt have deleted them,They were new and didnt last long.especially Katalam.
I miss the time before stupid rookie server-R.I.P rifts then.... Then I discovered Katalam and I absolutely loved it! Now Aion has taken this away from me and given me signia, it just proves how much I loved kata...

Dan X It's even more emotional when you know the context/lore. This is from a map that was EVERYONE'S favourite that got blown to smithereens by the main villain in the story. Thousands of people dead, a fortress destroyed, a beloved place wiped out forever. There was an underground area called Idian Depths that was said to be hundreds of metres below Katalam (this map) and after they removed Katalam, if you go to Idian Depths now and look at the ceiling it's just jagged rocks. You can see the sky through it. That, to me, is heartbreaking.

Even though the game has a shitty community somehow, and the staff is a bit lazy, the story of the game itself is wonderful, and i just cannot stop loving it no matter what.

@@CrazyBrook96 I only got into aion in 2015 because WoW became a bit morbid and I wanted to play something exciting. Aion delivered in a different way from what I expected.
I was looking for high skill cap solo PvP & to reach endgame fast.
Not only did I fail miserably at making that a reality, I met some really cool people along the way, no dungeon queuing for the most part.
It was fantastic. You met people everywhere and it was an authentic MMO experience. I might even say I enjoyed the leveling before 6.0 more than WoW classic's.
Sillus sieges i so miss you.

i really miss the days before 4.0 so many great memories, i still can remember when i was in eltnen and some asmos atk me for the first time, that was a hell of fun and i gained so many memories about new friends and great adventures. i will forever remember this old game
