Data point: We went through a few servers yesterday trying to get a setup of 1 treasury and 2 shrines going. On most servers, we never found a horn inside a treasury. When we finally found a treasury with one in there, it never showed up when we tried to do the treasury for a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th time. The 2 shrines worked on every reset though.
We ran into a situation in our testing where the treasury stopped spawning them after 3 or 4 runs, we think the seed for that one might change somehow while the shrines stay the same but we're not entirely sure why or how

This is cool and all but wouldn’t you need to have like a 5 hour play session for it to be worthwhile? I guess what’s the best way to spend my time playing this game if I want a horn but I only have 2ish hours to play at any given time? (I’m new this season)
if the mermaid stays there until you completely log off, can you scuttle to new sea without grabbing the horns, repeat the process until at max horns, then collect from the mermaid?
Strat seems to stop working for me after 2. Waited 30 mins for 3rd one to spawn, no luck.. Even went and sold the 2 I had at Dagger, came back and still no spawn
First ever shipwreck i found in season 12 was a blessing of athena ship with tons of king loot and 2 horns i was sooo excited till i got grief’d by a grade 5 reaper 😢
@@netherwarrior6113 i believe it was added this season with the loot update could hve been last season too basically its just a huge usually white ship with max level kings loot in it along with athenas loot and whatever emissary you have on at the time.
guranteed this will be fixed soon. so remember folks exploit early and often when their bad game design like this becomes public knowledge. because farming 250 of them after this upcoming fix will be horrible
too bad i only play on 2 sloop safer sea servers (for full progression without the safer sea penalties) but the game is coded to stop spawning reapers in shipwrecks on servers with less than 4 ships because its meant to be competitive loot and for those of us early players who learned how to exploit the server merger system to basically get pve only servers would be able to farm reapers uncontested..... like that matters now when we can stack FOTD uncontested now... silly devs tricks are for kids

Can you not just dive to a shrine? Therefore being the "closest" to a shrine?
if you dive to the shrine directly it will impact the loot pool stopping it from spawning a horn
I checked over 20 shipwrecks with reaper chest but only found two horns😥😥😥
