Just before watching this, I was coming back to an outpost with some treasure from a Gold Hoarder quest and these two guys came up and gave me all they’re stuff for absolutely no reason other than they wanted to be nice. I tried to give them some things in return but they refused. These types of people are a dying breed of gamers. Respect

We often do give some loot to players with out ship skins because they probably are new to the game and we can give away 20k with of loot no big deal for us but for them it might be very useful. I really enjoy the friendly community of this game so I act accordingly

i remember once someone killed me after boarding my ship and when a respawned i didnt see them and my treasure was untouched then when i went to refill the water barrel i see them ducking next to the brig and kill them in no time

@@mrbasy9620 Just yesterday, I was sailing around trying to speak to a brig crew and have some fun, but they kept running away and firing their cannons, even though I never shot back xD still kept chasing them for God knows how long, being an annoying ass

What about the "Loners", that one guy who doesn't have many friends who play the game/doesn't have many friends in general, and everytime that person plays, they always use the sloop and basically just keep to themselves because they usually don't have the manpower or firepower to go up against any ships, but if they did have one more crewmate and maybe a bigger ship they would take on anyone that attacks them
I was just about to say "OMG That's so me!" until the part where this stereotype was supposed to attack others if he had a bigger crew. I played sometimes with a bigger crew but I never attacked another ship. If I don't want anyone to attack me, I shouldn't attack anyone. Fair, fair

I can fit a little into most of these categories but I feel like there should be the friendly pirate, who is always down to help & would rather alliance so everyone profits instead of wasting time
Me. Im a Inky Kraken lord who friggin sucks but did a lot of research before buying the game.

The kind of kid (like... actually a kid) who is totally jacked up on sugar and Adderall that they run around doing mad, funny, shite and can either be the most hilarious and funny thing on the seas, or is so obnoxious and dumb that you gotta just bounce from the server altogether. No in-between!
i tend to be the exact opposite of the stacker mixed with the survivalist. i do enjoy running from people and wasting their time

The A-hole reapers are the crews who hunt a single ship across the server with no clear idea how they can see and become the most toxic players in the game

Sometimes I trick my teammate into standing at the front of the ship, then I put the anchor up, I use a blunderbomb to knock them off of the ship, and then I lower the sails and leave them behind

The Rainbow Flagbearers - crews that are just clowns in pirate outfits. Basically the Survivalists, but the Rainbow Flagbearers don't run, they chase you just to throw vomit in your face and laugh about it as they blow your head off.
So heres the types of pirates that I only seem to find
Noobasapian - needs no explanation
None existant - you know How every time you play on an open crew gallion And its NEVER full? Or its full for like 10 seconds?
The brain dead - Dont be confused with the Noobasapian. This.. Thing is always trying to screw EVERYTHING up voyage or not this thing Will always do the following 1 put kegs near the *helm* 2 shakes the rum bottles as much as humanly posible And tries to bail the 3 drops of water you put at the bottom deck for the plants because "yUo ArE GoInG tO sInK oThEr WiSe" And 3 turns all of the lights on after you turned them of for the 6483th time! And when he needs to leave for reasons still unknown he wont say bye like a normal person would he instead Will take the fire bombs set the ship on fire And leave the game without saying anything. you might be at the other side of the island but he Will still set your ship on fire
And finaly the guide - hes not a pl but he knows a lot And Will teach New players this great yet confusing af game this might have been the guy that you sailed with for the first time
The adhd kid: always drops the anchor at least 50 meters away, doesn't fully drop sails so he can see, buys a dog and never uses it because its too precious.

Honestly if you wanna be stealthy I’d recommend browns and dark blues.
I chose the Inky Kraken ship set and outfit, I like the dark red and black color scheme. The ship set is difficult-ish to see at night and the outfit is dark enough to be stealthy. And personally, I like the look of the equipment!

Left out the Ashen pyros, they've done some of the grind, they know the game mechanics, they usually won't eff with you. But engage them and they will burn your entire world down while roasting marshmellows over the flames.

I am vastly different. As soon as I get more than like, 10 chests, I start getting so unbelievably anxious and paranoid.
As for where I reside in this whole shebang, I'd say I'm a survivalist. But I feel like I have a pretty alright reason. Let's just say my laptop isn't fantastic, so whenever I pass an island, I start getting freeze frames until the island renders in, so much so that when I get close to render distance, I have to get on the sails to lift them, since that's about the only thing I can do to stop myself from crashing into said island. But just to add to my pain, as soon as players get involved, it goes from only freezing when I get to the island, to frame drops constantly until I've been boarded and killed.
Now. Should I get a new computer that handles the game better? Probably, but I'm broke. Well, sort of broke. Well, I could technically get a new computer, but it would probably take all my money. But you get the point.

The friendly: the guy who just gives u loot u either didn’t do work for or is just letting u take all the reward from a skull fort when your not in an alliance, they often have the wild rose sails or some blue variety of sails on their ship

I am currently dying of laughter, incredible video.
I can proudly say I'm a survivalist XD Probably half of my gameplay is me using the spyglass to see if there's any ship in the horizon or checking the map for reaper's ships. The best part to me is when an enemy ship reaches mine but I already sold everything so I usually laugh at them attacking my ship for nothing, not even my supplies (When I'm near to leave the game, I grab a barrel from the sea and use it to throw my supplies away so my enemies won't get a thing from me)

You did miss one pirate... The Salt Shaker! This pirate will sail up to your ship and bombard you with insults while you fight them! When they sink they call whoever sank them a hacker because they never missed a cannon shot!
The survivalists are always the dudes who think they’re funny because they use the rainbow flag.

I encountered someone who was super nice on my first day. He just came up and gave me like 4k worth of gold to sell (I don't remember what the actual items were but it was red and funky looking). I said my thanks and we parted ways. What a good first day experience!
And of course the next day I got trapped at the Reaper's Hideout trying to get away from an incoming Reaper ship (my ship got lodged into the port at an unfortunate angle) and the I got blasted by a dude in that shiny pay-to-get outfit and my ship destroyed (I play solo too so I had no backup)... After getting 2 hours worth of loot including stuff from a ghost ship battle. All because I went back to Reaper's Hideout to get an Ashen key I dropped there. Should've just sailed straight for a port to dump everything. Never again. Thankfully the place I spawned at had decent cargo laying about as my original mission was just to run cargo. I just wanna sell chickens and tea leaves, man 😂😂
I am literally the crab lord it’s all I am it’s all I do. I have nearly collected the full deep ocean crawler player cosmetic set and have all the ships customizations for the ocean crawler, I am happy

Ya forgot what I'm calling Hunters. Players out in adventure mode specifically out to hunt other pirates. Either for a challenge or to stomp noobs. Usually allow themself to be visible on the map for a harder time
Technically, I am a Captain.. but I didn't actually elect myself for the role, my friends did. Honestly "captain" means nothing since everyone in the crew pulls their weight and is capable in their own right. It's usually just my job to steer the ship and to direct where the ship needs attention, like when to angle or raise sails, when to start repairing, who boards, and to come up with battle strategy.
We play on Galleons a lot and having someone in a more leadership role is really beneficial to making such a large ship function.
quick question what happens if you had the game for 2 years and still acts they way you described the sailor? Never mind I’m a Survivorlist.

I am late to this. But I don't think I meet any of these, but I have come across the worst "Captain Type" Pirate I've ever encountered. He was so obsessed with being the captain he wouldn't allow anyone else to fire canons or board enemy ships but him. He also would assign the crew a job and refused to let them swap the jobs. It was also completely up to him what we did, even if it was a dumb idea.
I'm the captain. I'm the one that stands at the wheel and tells everyone to angle the sails. My ship cosmetics (the Silver Blade) are awesome, but I will accept others if they are sufficiently rare. If you go AFK without warning, and for an extended period of time, I will throw you in the brig. At the end of every session, I like to burn my ship down while playing Becalmed with my crew on every instrument.
I have gotten every commendation for shrouded spoils... except the gosh darn heckin shrouded ghost! Because it doesn't exist!

People who sail reaper flag and/or Reaper Emissary but have no fucking clue on how to defend themselves when someone decides to get on some reaper hunting.
I never wanted to be captain, but since the Steam release, I've been elected captain by all the greenhorns I've been getting. It's at least nice when you get a crew of newbies who are genuinely interested in learning how to play the game and will listen to your advice and not the Noobs who will wander aimlessly for a half hour, never listening to a thing you say before randomly leaving
