I am like that too
I Bought sea of thieves on whim and was prepared to be salty at its combat/PvP based community, But Im actually impressed at how the game balances PVP. Yeah, im only a couple days in playing and Ive been destroyed more times than should be possible in the span of the 6 hours i have so far, But the way that the game handles losing a battle is just very forgiving to the loser and rewarding to the winner. Also from the get-go you have access to the same equipment as any 1000 hour player at any given time, just with less fancy skins. (Though one thing I will say is that I haven't done any of bigger quest, just small ones, so I have very little to lose)
@@petersanten3294 for as a small crew do smaller missions, yeah they are less rewarding but the you aren't as sought after to kill. For the big ship crews and good missions/world events takes will get you a decent amount of ppl hunting you
I don’t like people chasing you for an hour because I could be spending my time doing something actually productive like cleaning the house or doing actual fun things in sea of thieves because I love forts and other fun events but people hog them all the damn time!
Just played a session with my friend. Saw a nice player on a sloop then we proceeded to murder 1 galleon, 1 brig, and 3 sloops. They were all hostiles and we did warn them before we plundered them. Told em to back off but they didnt listen. So down to Davey Jones locker they go.

Fr When I Was New I Put Up The Flag Like “Oh Cool Glowy Flag”
We had a pretty hilarious situation in a sloop with my buddy. A brig was peeling on us quickly, hoping to skin our potato- we suddenly shifted sails and shot a red flare and the Reaper Mark went up.
Almost immediately they turned around and left as fast as possible. Funny when sudden aggression scares the initial aggression most of the time lol.
Lmao nice.
This has happened to me too. I was in a sloop with my little sister, stacking fort of the forgotten, when all in the sudden 2 sloops were breathing down our throat, a reaper chasing some other ship. I dropped sails and initiated combat with them. Shots were fired, I missed every shot, they hit some on me, and they just...ran. Very same Playstation, a brog flying reaper attacked tried to intercept en route to an island. I turned hard to face the cannon on the cannon rowboat toward them, and she and I shot cannonballs their way, they fired back some, then just...ran...again, we missed every shot, so they ran from a bunch of crappy players like myself for no reason...

I use the Reaper's Mark to say "Hey, come get some." My crew is always spoiling for a fight. We're so dedicated we've selected uniform cosmetics for all the crew hands to wear and the captain wears a special set.
I’ve noticed that Shrouded Hunter flags are hostile fishermen. You know, that one guy that’s just fishing and he’s pretty chill but if you attack him he’ll use the massive hoard of cursed cannonballs he’s accumulated from the hours he’s spent fishing that day.
Attacking if attacked doesn't make you hostile. Hostile is when you fire first.

Rainbow flags have been unerringly friendly so far. This one time, my brother got stranded on an island after a Kraken took our ship by surprise and some random brig started making a BEELINE for him. He naturally freaked out and started hiding the loot he had but when the guy got within range he just asked if my brother needed a ride and offered to take him to the nearest outpost. Obviously he didn’t believe this act of goodwill, but went along with it because he didn’t really have anything to lose. The WHOLE TIME he was expecting a backstab but the guy just gathered up the loot, drove him to the outpost, and started offering HIS loot as a gift on top of everything. Brother said thank you and the dude logged out. God bless the gays. I cannot wait to be disappointed by trolls flying this flag.
If I ever get this game, part of me wants to fly the rainbow flag because I feel like it represents a part of me. But the other part of me realizes it puts a huge target on my back from the people who think I'm homophobic and from the people who think I'm gay.

Lol, my crew started running barnacle since the moment we got it, we did all kind of bs. forming alliance with 2 other galleons to do a fort of the damned, just to explode a bunch of other crews with the nuke as they ran into the vault, then started shooting a galleon with the other's cannons they started fighting, and we sank them both and took all the loot, and left the alliance. other time we sneaked upon people with rowboats, and emptied their ship unnoticed. held them hostage with 2 nukes as we emptied their hold, and camped reaper outpost when it was new. in a night we usually had 3-4 automatic server swaps, because everyone quit from our server. fun times.
@@simplig1272 yea the rowboats are my favorite thing they've added. When the reaper outpost thing was new, i had the chest in my sloop and a ship started chasing me. Yeah, being sunk usually doesn’t phase me. It’s the fact every person I’ve met tries to board my ship and hop around like a Destiny hunter on crack before missing three blunderbuss shots in a row despite the fact I’m standing still playing music
Why would them being bad at PvP bother you?
It’s less then being bad, it’s more so the fact I’ve seen this song and dance (I play the song, they do the bunny hop “dance”)
And it’s just, oh? On god? Gonna target specifically the solo sloop with literally zero loot other than kraken meat? There’s a tier 5 gold hoarders galleon less than 5 miles away that has a deck so shiny you can see it from here
But you target the alliance flag running solo sloop. In the last god damn month of playing there’s only been one crew who didn’t immediately try to fill my ship with holes, and they kegged my ship as I was on an island for my tall tale not 20 minutes after meeting them.
The ILL fated title is no longer a joke, it’s a warning to my own crew to not sail with me.
"These ships are always hostile..."
Me: "I just thought the inky kraken flag looked cool please spare my life kind sir"
"not the brightest crayon in the tool shed" .....this man just put 2 insults into one mega insult lmfao
I usually solo sloop with arena. But I usually get sunk since it’s just me and keep playing. As mentioned, it’s a pirate game and playing solo is begging someone to send me to the bottom and steal the small amount of stuff I managed to get because I’m too busy enjoying the sailing to actually play anything else in the pirate game. I die, don’t lose much, and keep playing the hurdy gurdy
God, the summary of the Order of Souls is so accurate. Im the experienced pvp player in my group and everytime we are attacked Im complained at for not helping patch up the hull like its all hands on deck. Im usually on the enemy ship attempting to neutralize them the best I can as a single person. And then I watch on respawn as my crew mates are just bucketing water and either not patching the hole or attacking with cannons. Its a crunchy banana to swallow but I have high hopes for them.
me, using a flag because i just like the way the rest of the set looks and want to have the whole thing on:
I love your username
thank )))

josuke? is that u?
Me who rarely ever spots any other players
“Ah yes there are no flags”
lucky you, everytime I play some fucking reaper embassy galleon will be right up my ass for no reason
Me too. I have never seen a person's flag . Have no idea what the video was even about honestly. Reaper mark means ready for pvp, other flag idgaf
Any time I see someone they don’t have a ship and are on mine hiding
3:49 I don’t even play the game but I would totally use this flag and act like that 😭
I honestly played this game by myself always and just left everyone alone. They also give me the same treatment due to my tiny boat. I also dug up treasure for others if we crossed paths on an island
I feel mildly upset the rainbow flag is exclusively used by trolls
You and me both.
I fly the flag, but I'm actually LGBTQ. What's nice about it is that it always outs nearby homophobes/transphobes, which is really good for deciding who to sink.
I fly the flag to attract the toxic players so I can bully them.
I see ships running this flag and go all out no mercy on them :)
@Henry? Hehehe thanks for the idea
Order of souls:
“Will repair their ship without responding to their attacker as if they can’t see them”
. . . I R O N I C . . .
I mean to be fair if you are soloing a sloop you don't have time to attack and repair so you have to choose one.
*their
The joke is that they claim to be all seeing and have an eye as their logo yet they can’t see their attackers.
@@AqworldsMew11 you can beat a skeleton galleon with a sloop & i know someone that said he beat a skeleton fleet doing it
@@cyprezz_ you can't beat a full player galleon solo unless you're an actual god
Pretty much summed up my ashen dragon im impressed
i just realized that the jolly roger happened to me (except they were jolly roger the entire time.)
they were a sloop, we were a galleon.
The thing is, we also fought alongside a rainbow flag. They were chill and helped us when the sloop was knocking down our masts.
the stereotypes series is a perfect fit for this game, so well done on finding that! the stereotypes also seem to be surprisingly accurate. you could either do a more extensive outfit stereotype, as DA wasn't out back when you made the first video and you didn't really touch on "fashion lords" who dress in standard-looking clothing, a ship stereotype and a finally, most obviously, a weapon stereotype video (I assume the latter two are well on their ways)
I'm planning on doing another clothing one and I've begun writing its script, but it's pretty barebones at the moment. Remember, not every new outfit has a stereotype. Either not enough people wear it, or too many do and there's no recognizable pattern.
I'm a Sea Hobo and I can confirm that I use a Sea Hobo flag.
"It's a pirate game guys, you're going to get sunk sometimes get over it"
meanwhile me just chilling without anything getting sunk by a level 1 Reaper with WAAAAYYYY too many hours in the game
I thought this was gonna be innacurate until you reached the admirals flag. I fly it mainly because I like the anesthetic of the Admiral set, but somehow you got me down to a t.
I absolutly love the idea of the players giving new sense to this flags. The black flag beeing the "Dont mess with me, or u die" instead of "i want to kill u" and the checkers beeing chaotic neutral. Fun fact: thats also my experience. Im a black flag/rainbow flag user. Black is cuz i dont want people to fight with me, rainbow is cuz lgbt but also, cuz most people run when they see it, now i know why lol.
They don't wanna catch the gay

@@sidvacant9382 Who doesn't wanna catch the gay tho, it's great
Theyre afraid, they know theyre weaker than us
I use the Admiral flag because I think it looks cool, however, charging towards a ship does seem like something I would do. Surprisingly, I haven’t actually encountered any players online. The sea is vast indeed.
Same I would use it if I was doing emissary missions for the trade alliance, I thought it was a flag for explorers/trade ships. But apparently I was wrong lmao. Glad there is a specific trade flag but sad there's a bad name to it already
Player counts are going to skyrocket after the next update
since the new update almost every server i have been in has been full im so happy
This vid actually got me into sea of thieves
Welcome.
It’s astonishing how I raise the white flag for the reasons mentioned and other players respect that
Like I’ve had three encounters over the last day where ships starting coming towards me, they see the flag, then they veer away
There was one brig which murdered me though and I did exactly what the sterotype was and just stared at them until they realized they weren’t going to get a reaction out of me and left
