(APOLOGIES FOR THE LOW SOUND QUALITY) . it's time for some more stand up. This time it's the legendary Katt Williams making some brilliant observations.
After world war 2, Hennessy was one of the first luxury brands(At that time they were a luxury brand) to invest in african american culture and one of the first to market and advertise directly to blacks. Its been the drink of choice for many of us since.
I had to explain this to my ex girlfriend cuz she didn’t get it either. She thought I was pulling her chain until she later looked it up herself. She was amazed when I explained the similar situation w/ Cadillac vehicles too.
Being black I can relate. No joke I called the wrong number and the person on the other side said I had the wrong number. 10 min later they text me back and asked If I had found who I was looking for.😂 I ended up marrying his daughter.❤🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Protect this American legend at all costs! He does the greatest white person impersonation ever! Snoop’s white voice is fantastic, too! I love Katt Williams
Katt killed the internet,I used to love watching him as a black British woman of African descent growing up and he has remained steady..He doesn’t do endorsements and is real and hence why I like him.He killed Shay Shay podcast,he is on 18 million views in 2 days .
Hennessy's relationship with black culture dates back to the civil rights, and lots of modern day hip hop artist and rappers also promote the drink in their music. You can Google Hennessy and black culture
One thing about the UK and the drinking culture is there is two types of drunk Brits. This means even if you're white, there are ones you want to get drunk with and the ones you don't. The ones you want to get drunk with are the ones that are on a mission to get fucked up for the night. They'll have pre-drinks, know what pubs and/or clubs they're going to and how they're getting back home and who with. Their mission as a collective of who they're drinking with is to barely avoid hospitalisation and alcohol poisoning with hopes that they can't remember the night out. The other type of Brit, and these are the most dangerous type you should avoid at all costs unless you're very good friends with, is the ones that say something along the lines of 'Just one?' or 'Fancy a quick one?' - It's never just one. No one knows how that night is going to end. You might be drinking with death himself by the end of the night, you might end up in France, or wake up in hospital who knows. Never trust a Brit that says they'll only be drinking one pint. It's never just one pint.
That goes for America, too. At least, in the South and the West. In the North (not to be confused with Alaskans), they've so many laws about drinking you can't even walk to the cabby from the bar without breaking ten laws.
The drink experience is can relate to after 12years in the Military. I'm consistent with my drinking choices. Was out with an Army buddy and his wife, just finished my first 30days back Iraq. I was ready for some drinking. No... They had me feeling like crap after drinking vodka's and tequila's. It wasn't until the rum hit me until I realized I'm in the middle of a situation. Silver lining. That night motivated me to learn how to make myself an Old Fashion. That drink stayed with me.
Haha Katt used to be the best. As a white dude, he's right. I will definitely drink anything (not a big fan of Hennessy though, or really cognac at all). Remember the old school Four Loko that was both an energy drink and a really strong malt liquor? They had to end up taking everything but the alcohol out because people kept dying. That was wild. I had a single can of it one time and it just made me sick.
French citizen showed their thanks to by gifting African American soldiers with bottles of Hennessy for their trip back home, for them to enjoy with friends and family, it was like a symbol of prosperity
People have to remember, Katt was a big physical comedian. He's older now, can't be out here doing all of that anymore. End up breaking a hip. Also, his last special came out right after the pandemic. He, like other comedians get their influences from being out and about. Not much you can get from being stuck in the house. Many comedians didn't do good their first time back out. Not all had access to a cornfield like Dave Chappelle to do shows during the pandemic....
Kart Williams is still doing stand up comedy uh thank you that video you’re looking at is from 2009 So this is old Katt Williams got a new comedy stand up
If memory serves me correct, you know you have stepped into the Twilight zone, when that sip of Hennessy is going down and you know, that swallow took you from tipsy to extremely drunk instantly.😅😅😅 Those were the good old days as it's said 😂
@cultureclashreactions you have to go through a Katt Williams marathon to understand it’s truth comedy ( things that are true in the African American community that he chose to make into comedy ) #livedexpereience
dont worry why, just let it be mate. you dont need to know why a group likes something. can they just like it. lol!!! made you nervousn just kidding , love you guys.
I get what you mean about his recent material. In my opinion it's not as funny as his earlier stuff. I don't think he's working his material out as much in the smaller clubs.
Hennessey is the Black cultural gateway alcohol, because most young African Americans grow up in a household where one or both parents had a bottle of Hennessey in liquor cabinet at home. However, some African American families, especially according to generation; are more cultured when it comes to spirits. For example, my Grandparents drank Crown Royal, Jack Daniels, and moonshine. My parents drank the same, but also drank wine and Champagne. My generation, drinks Vodka, Gin, Tequila, wine, Brandy, Cognacs, Scotch, Whiskeys, and Stouts like Guinness. It really depends on how cultured the individual is.
It is a legitimate question that goes further than we can delve into in the comments. Such as why do black people prefer Newport cigarettes? But anyway, back to the henny, it’s just a good liquor that will give you a happy buzz, or whatever you want to call it, every time. Don’t have to drink a lot of it to get lit, easy to control your sobriety as well with some moderation, and even if you over do it at least you won’t be an angry drunk. I’m black btw.
Wish you had let it play a little longer as to why you don't drink with White friends. He explained that if you pass out, they start doing some borderline gay stuff to you and think it's funny to tell you when you wake up.
I am black and I have not idea why they love Hennessy. I do Not.... I feel like that's black dudes.. Not all black people. My husband is from west Africa and they don't do Hennessy so I couldn't tell ya.
This came up on my recommended page. It’s “comedy”, I like comedy so I figured why not. I cannot finish watching this……the blatant use of the “F” word and other words that fill the sentences it uncalled for and totally unnecessary. No thanks. 😣😣😣

I guess that means they advertised in segregated, “colored” areas. Good advertising business strategy that has worked.
I did not know that.
Thank you.
So was KFC

Those last few specials haven't been good imo.
Naaa

@Pats Nation only cuz they forced him to be politically correct like saying Wendy Williams is big foot. That's not like Katt Williams.

Henny is definitely a thing in the uk among BLACK peoples…
I buy a bottle every week at least and that’s if I’m drinking alone
In Africa, at least according to my friend, they prefer fruit wines and brandies. Maybe that was just his tribe, though.
@@robertphillips213 in Kenya and South Africa Henny is big!!

My white male friends bought me two beers. Said I didn't have to pay me back. Now I'm obsessed with that beer.
Yes
I just Growth Up seeing hennessy in the House and it being in Rap Music
Hennessey is actually a cognac and yes, Black people love the taste of a high-quality cognac idk why , I am myself and make a tequila man 🤷🏾♂️
I know a lot of Asians that like that drink that also Hennessy is a cognac which is a type of brandy
If memory serves me correct, you know you have stepped into the Twilight zone, when that sip of Hennessy is going down and you know, that swallow took you from tipsy to extremely drunk instantly.😅😅😅

It's not an inappropriate question... Is real... Hennessy is just real smooth...
