Puddin's pressure washing scene cracks me up every time. 😂
Every time
das is good nice!.
Your BROMANCE with Puddin' cracks me up😂🤣
I'm quite confident that I could live happily with NEVER seeing again "Puddin's" shirt off, pressuring washing video/s. Greta video clips, oh hell yea, keep them coming!
You and me both!
Hi my sweet! I enjoy everything you & the Duffstrer do!
1989 Chevrolet P30, 350 gas turbo 475 trans, soon to be LS 6.0 6l80 trans swapped. I rebuilt an early 70's 350 from a C30 about 9 years ago. Rebuilt the rear leaf springs to handle more weight. added a few more leaves and new bushings and GM coil spiring over shocks front and rear. best improvement was adding a rear camera with a big screen from an old tablet up front. I have an aluminum car trailer, but most of the time I use a tow dolly I improved upon. I have two winches one on the tow dolly and also one mounted behind the rear bumper of the step-van. I have a generator, air compressor and a 110v welder. in the back of the step-van and a big vice mounted on the rear bumper. It also has a work bench and bunk that folds down on the inside side wall. I did mobile repair years ago with a service truck, now I just work on my own crap when can. If someone calls looking for help, this truck is always broke down itself.
Really enjoy your second channel. Makes the wait on your next video easier. Another great video.
Glad to hear it!
According to Peg, you might want to install a sprinkler system in there somehow! "Shipping Crate" 🤣😂🤣😂
🤭
Hey Mortske 👋, cool video. I've changed both sensors on isx 600. There just as fun as the little Cummins . Mortske and Duff have a great weekend🖐
same to you!
The only Cummins I have is in my Motor Home. 6 speed Allison Transmission. Never heard of that cam sensor. But, you got er done! Thanks for sharing Mortske.
Friday at the Mortske Ranch! Thanks for the video and a special thanks to the editing department. Cold sammich's are needed.
Oure pleasure!
Really appreciate and enjoy watching content on both channels. Keep up the great work!
My tow rig is a 2001 Silverado 2500 LD, 6.0 gasser. She's just turned a whopping 86k miles!👍👍 We'll keep 'er!
Thanks 👍
I have a 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 crew cab Dually 4x4 with the Cummins turbo diesel and 6 speed manual transmission. I love that truck !!! I love that cow catcher you got on the front of yours.
Thanks for all the EFI stuff your doing lately. I am gonna try to install Megasquirt crank trigger combo on an aircooled 58 VW in few weeks and some of your content is helpful.
Good luck!
Always love the tech info you give. Great video as usual both channels. Glad it worked out. My tow pig is a 17 Silverado crew cab. Nothing special. Only cummins I own is a generator. Lol
Fishing around up there is what I refer to as " Repairs by Braille " !
Tow vehicle is a 1999 Chevy K2500 crew cab short bed with the 454/4l80E.
Sweet! Love them OBS pickups.
hi mortske another damm fine video content is allways top notch videos keep getting better mate nice to see duff checking work
For a minute there I though Wes was gonna get a call! But you pulled out a win! I’m kinda diggin this MMR channel!
Glad you enjoy it!
Had a 4wd '16 Ram 3500 Cummins/6spd crewcab as my tow rig/daily driver...absolutely loved the truck, hated the price tag. Sold it after 4 years and went back to an '84 K30 CUCV with a 6.5 turbo swap and a 4L80E swap for less than 1/10th the cost with the same fuel mileage. Never looked back! Definitely a slower rig, but reliable and cool AF! Just can't beat a squarebody!
Dang right!
My favorite CZcamsr..! Nice rig, Tom. Cheers from California🍻
Wow, thanks!
Good video. Your honesty draws viewers like a magnet. I tow a 14' utility trailer which carries a dune buggy. My tow vehicle is a 2019 Honda Pilot which is rated for 3500 pounds. Although my loaded trailer falls about 400 pounds under the limit, I had to install a trans oil cooler to keep the tranny from overheating in hot weather. The Hayden trans oil cooler works well. I'll use them on all future tow vehicles.
They make a good product!
I can sympathize with having done jobs that are pretty much done by feel because you can either see it or reach it, but not both at the same time. I've learned quite well how to adapt to this.
Looking forward to first start again from a barn find
Cam position sensor on my 5.7 tundra. I know gas things. But I was instructed to change oil. I did that 3 times at less than 3k miles all 3 times. On the 4th change I got past 3k. Changed again. Now I change at 6k have for over 100k miles and no codes since. Runs like a champ. It was my tow vehicle. I currently have a 2022 gmc with 3L duramax. Getting 28mpg normal driving and 16 when pulling. Same stats as my tundra HP and Torque. Love this new truck. Still have the tundra as my beater 270k on that. Plan to keep it until it completely Rusts into a pile. Fuel tank is held on with ratchet straps currently…
I liked the animation arrows, good vijeo dude.Good boy Duff!
Thanks!
07 Envoy Denali with the 5.3 I only occasionally tow a 19' boat though, and used to tow a jetski. Less than 500 miles a year.
Grandad was right about the hair thing.. sometimes it's the crank sensor not the cam best to change both..thanks for sharing take it easy there whoop there.
It's the small stuff that can be a pain, I have a 02 GMC 2500hd diesel tow rig. Intermittent ABS brake light on dash, would come and go, had to pull the top off ABS module to access circuit board. Cut the thing open and resolder all the main connections on the board and reseal. It was tucked up nicely in the frame rail, for not so easy access, flat on the back job.
Based on the number of that gen 2500/3500 diesel Rams I towed in to dealers in 07-08 or so...and knowing that the rear axle was the primary failure point for all those oilfield guys and their welding equipment on the beds...and why they came out with 4500 and 5500 models soon after...I'd keep an eye on that rear end for sure.
Never heard of rear axle issues hear. So long as you keep fluid in them.
@@moremortskerepair4354 the problem was who made them, Dexter Axle Indiana (my methed out brethren) was one of them.DCX got parts from the absolute lowest bidder to make the Krauts happy
Oh no...you got the rear axle problem too. Its a good thing you caught it. Most Dodges made in DaimlerChrysler era all launch the pinion seals after some miles, most people dont notice and destroy the entire axle. It was a problem in the older ones but not as bad. A buddy of mine has a 03? with Indiana cancer, the 20 inch flower rims,Hemi with a tick,190k miles and a grenaded rear end. Used rear end is 1200 so its a yard ornament. His problem was the bearing spun the race and wallowed the housing out. Keep an eye on your Dodge rear ends everybody..
Great video. Those undertruck shots are difficult to set up, but we appreciate it. If it keeps acting funny, take it to Wes!
Yeah we mechanics definitely have to see with our hands. Didva great job though. Keep up the great work and I will keep on watching
I can't imagine that the cam/crank sensors are much different between gas and diesel engines. I dealt with a Jeep Liberty with the V6 trying to clear those exact codes. Went through 3 sets from 2 different parts houses, 2 different brands. All were junk. Ended up spending 2x the money, and bought from the dealer. Ran like a champ after that.
Have a great weekend Morts!!!
Same to you Tom
Mortske @13:33 You said where the hole at? I've always said puts some hair around it you'll find it.....hahaha.....Tec tip of the day my friend.....
Nice job Mortske
Thanks John!
My tow vehicle is a 2001 Honda Odyssey 260,000 miles on it , bought it for $250.00. 😊
Score!
This would be right up wes's alley pretty cool seeing you on his channel in your dad's car with chin
Oh my goodness Puddin with no shirt on holding a power washer wand what a bonus🤣 Nice dodge truck as a fact I do have a 2003 s-10 blazer 207,000 miles got it last year for christmas and havnt had to repair anything so far its my little mule
My tow pig is a 1990 Dodge D-250 that was a former county truck. 318 TBI, A518OD, and not much else option wise. Odometer quit at 196k, Im sure its over 200k. - Jamie.
2003 2500HD,and a 98 3/4ton 2wd,350. And a 66 3/4 ton 2wd Chevy , small block ,4spd o/d
06 2500 ccsb Cummins 6speed. Rust free az truck. Love that thing. Needs a tipm but I use it about twice a year so I just haven’t needed to fix it yet
Goddamn tipm Mopar trash
Great video man I love my 07 ram
Right on!
Excellent video Mortske Repair :) also don't you have clear code with code reader with engine off running plus ignition switch to on after code reader plug in and clear codes 2 twice also confirm to 2 times should help out! Yes that excellent tail pipe need change for sure and truck in great shape for age too!
We used a short box square body Chevy 4x4 with a lift and monster mudders on it to haul a giganormous car hauler with a big tool box and a tire rack. One time on the way to the track I seen it passing on the shoulder. That old trailer did its job and the brakes kicked on - stopped it on the shoulder. It snapped the drop hitch off.
You could fit two engines in the tool box thingie if you had to. Always had one spare engine with us.
Perhaps a little late but this channel should be called "She's A Little Chewie" or "Sammich Time With Duffske" . Thanks for all the awesome content, I appreciate the work needed to produce it.
Good one
Tow pig: 06 Jeep Liberty CRD. Works great.
My tow vehicle that I pull my little rolling home around the country with is a2005 Yukon with the 5.3 L LS. I LOVE my LS!
Nice!
@@moremortskerepair4354 I did some mechanic work this weekend. I put a rear end in a recliner.
@@digitaldave3517 ahaha epic
What a great truck. The manual is definitely the way to go in the Mopar truck.
Watching this I realize changing the CPS on my 7.3 is way easier. However since 2002 Ford/NAVSTAR has had three iterations on the CPS and they can be a little picky as to which one runs best. Can’t buy the original (arguably best) CPS new.
For most other repairs the Cummins is friendlier to work on.
Well that's fun!
The Mortske graphics department has really stepped up it's game. Check out that sweet red arrow at 11:20!
I think that’s chin’s department 🙌
@@patrickmoodabe9728 Pretty sure Mickleson (taking a stab at the spelling) does second channel stuff.
MRC did this one
Love your videos continent is great entertainment
Thanks Ben!
Glad it’s running again! Noticed you hacked it by not disconnecting battery, drove it and it straightened out. Quick story, changed mass flow on 2011 pilot, 150 miles later, dash looked like a Christmas tree, swapped back to cleaned original sensor, 150 miles, Christmas again. Got home, scratched my head, disconnected battery, waited bout an hour, hooked up battery, now have bout 2,000 on it, perfect! Know anyone who wants to buy a gently used mass flow sensor? Guess it defaulted codes to original settings after disconnecting battery. Might save you the heartache of replacing that sensor again, although Wes may do it for you, eh? Good video!
Interesting.
Nice job Sir just like a Pro !
Thanks!
Did a fuel bypass solenoid on a 2.8l jeep crd (diesel) that was hidden where you couldn't see crap.
My tow pig is an '06 F450 crew cab flatbed with a 12-valve 5.9 cummins swapped into it. 116k miles.
Nice! No 6.0!
@@moremortskerepair4354 Was actually a V10 truck. Engine is from a '92 D350 and dunno where the trans came from, but the trans was upgraded with billet convertor etc. Engine upgraded to 350hp.. 4000 rpm governor springs. With 4.88 gears, it isn't going that fast at 3200 rpm, but it will pull a house. Plus, with the extra weight on the front end, it doesn't ride like a buckboard. Couldn't have assembled a truck like this for the price I paid, so I am definitely happy with it. Only gets 12 mpg, however.... xD
My tow rig/kid hauler, 04 GMC Yukon
That a Wes job yes so much crap to get to that part . Nice fix 👍
It does suck doing it in the driveway! Wish I came across your video before I swapped mine out last night. You did make reinstalling those isolator bushings look way too easy though.
2013 Silverado 2500HD Crew Cab Duramax Allison
Great Content !
Thanks!
Thanks for the content.
My pleasure!
I’ve gone from a F450. To a sierra denali 350. To a F150 eco boost. And now a Ridgeline. Yes my trailers have gotten smaller and smaller too
I would hope so!
My tow rig is an '87 Ford F250 with a 460 /5spd .
Ranger XLT Lariat Edition .
Truck has 34,440 original miles on it .
Wow!
My final car payment is in 8 days. I haven't had a Cummins in my life in 20 years. I can't wait to get my hands on another one. I used to buy beaters and wrecks and transplant the drivetrains into old military 5/4 ton Jeeps, but this time I want something a bit newer I can put half a million miles on and not worry about. Dailying a Diesel with a 250 gallon transfer tank in the bed... you know, in case I wanna be the next Bandit out of Texas and bring you some Saint Arnold's Oktoberfest before the seasonal ends - it's one of those life journey beers you have to have at least once.
Awesome!
Rely on your brain trust, Duff! He's an honorary Soggy Bottom Boy!
For Smaller trailers I pull with my 85 S10 Blazer with a 350/NV3500. For bigger stuff I use my 91 K5 Blazer 350/sm465
Nice!
I had to replace my radiator today in my 05 2500. The engine has been doing this skip. Almost like a misfire. But it was tiny. I just did 2 500 mile runs to Idaho in the last week. No problems. I am scheduled to tow tomorrow. After the radiator the engine flashes a code. States it needs a cam sensor. Clear it. And while getting the trailer it hesitates while on the freeway and does this almost die during idle. I get home watch your video and do what you say not to do. On my back trying to get it to run well so I can head back to Idaho tomorrow. After the PIA install it idles bad and dies twice. I guess it could be in the wires.
I just picked up an 05cummins 4dr short bed..love it..new Bruce Jenner and carli n fox front suspension
My tow vehicle is my 09 Chevy 3500 express /Coachman motorhome if I need a trailer, but quick runs with a tow bar I'll use my 03 GMC Sonoma
fab your own tank for the rear of the truck, quite common around boat town because of Marina fuel prices, although they frown upon you saving a buck or five a gallon
I learned on intermittent codes to clean all grounds and plugs first . then test drive . half the time it will fix codes.
nice to see your brother puddin washing a vehicle.
My tow pig is a 1942 Dodge Power Wagon and yea its got a HEMI first gen 331 .
Schweet!
Hello Mortske and Duff Dog
The infamous Cummins red tabs. HATE those things, usually rip those needless pieces a plastic out and loose them on the ground. 🤣
Right at the start I was saying out loud "take the ecm out!" lmao
Good times.
It's not how big the tank size is, it's how big the wallet is.
I have a 36 gallon on my Ferd. I need a bigger wallet.
yea...i got a 36gal OEM and a 50 gal aux in the bed. The trick is not looking at the pump...just pull away...
I got a 25 gal tank AND a small wallet. (2002 f150)
Clean up the earths and connector's, its a common problem. Unless your cam has stretched then its a strip down. PS..your not a looser your a legend..
That Exploder or whatever Ferd SUV you've been using as tow pig will be jealous.
Nah we use that one way more.
this truck reminds me of my 03 ram was originally a 5 speed they(first owners i believe) swapped in a 47re or 48re they did the column and all too of a newer ram shes never been wrecked according to the title report but shes had a run in with the previous owners shed so its slightly more then whiskey dented im waiting on a bed and such to fix it
my factory 1 of 1 89 ford is my tow rig right now till i get the ram finished
Nice ride bro. Would you consider putting a tune on it? Fairly inexpensive and will really boost the torque and HP. It would make for a good segment on your channel, easy to do and all us diesel boys are doing it or thinking about it before the EPA outlaws it completely.
Meh, that just wrecks thing from what I've seen. It's got enough pep for what we do.
Luckily that sensor wasn't buried too deep unlike some components on other vehicles.
Great White.. losing it in a snowbank in the winter..lol
Living in Bulgaria I found that the parts for my vehicles are quite cheap, I have a 2000 model wrangler and a UAZ 405 4 x4 van from 1983, now looking for a lada pickup. The UAZ could be rebuilt at the side of the road no kidding so simple.
HA! Just have to let those electronics get used to what they’re supposed to sense! Thanks for the Great video!
Our pleasure.
Get the in bed auxiliary tank! Easy peasy! And how do you like the Goodyear tires? They didn't seem to last very long for us in the oilfield
Takes up too much bed space. I like em.
My Dad has a 2001 GMC Sierra 2500hd extended cab long bed. What I call the beast.
Think that truck will make it a million miles Mortske? I know of 1 in Kansas with a Cummins that was a hot shot oilfield truck. It’s been through a few transmissions but the same Cummins it started life with,
WE shall find out!
Excellent video, and channel!! I think you're supposed to hook it up to computer first and calibrate the new censor before you start it.
Never heard of that.
Nice truck. Im looking into a newer Cummins. My truck now is a 99 dodge ram 2500. Gas.
Engineeres put stupid stuff in stupid spots…😡. You had more patience’s than I would have. My Tow Pig is, F-350 7.3 ,Long Bed.. Have A Great Weekend Mortske and Duff

Same to you Michael!
2001 fotd ranger with the 3.slow.
Replace the crankshaft position sensor. Right by the harmonic balancer.
Omg I have the exact same truck! Except it's an 06......and a mega cab.......and a short bed.
and a silly G56, not the cool NV5600
Did ya check with Wes first ? Great content, thanks Mortske !
Of course!
