Love how you talked about how people feel a false relationship with someone else kids. I recently set the boundary that I'm not posting pictures of my daughter on social media and people got so mad at me. I was so confused why they even thought I need to keep them updated. When they have never even met my child in person and that is exactly it, they think they have a relationship with them when they don't. Love all your videos thanks you for making great content that works with your family!

I started an email address just for my family living far away to send them pics and updates of the kids, it keeps my kids off social media but updates those aunts and uncles that really care in a healthy way 😀
I recently decided to not post anything on Facebook about what I'm doing, will be doing, what my kids are doing...etc... well, all it takes is a phone call and invite to see my kids or myself. People are so lazy. No one calls in bdays either.
What you said about hesitating to do podcasts again, I fully understand. People are so cruel on social media. It is extremely sad...
My days are like cookie cutter days hence why I’m feeling incredibly depressed and low. Get up, coffee, work, bed, vlogs, sleep repeat. We are also still locked down for covid here n Scotland and have been since December then 3 lockdown before that. Restaurants are finally allowed to open 26th April so getting outdoors will hopefully help. Thankfully watching your vlogs brings me 30 mins of happiness xxxx

I love that you pay the girls! It's such a great way to learn adulthood but sheltered at your home. Such a wonderful way to learn life!
I agree. I had chores growing up but I also got paid. But I have to complete them daily at a certain time and my grades had to stay up. A lot of my friends didn’t understand that and was always mad I got “allowance” but I worked for it. It all depended on my attitude, work ethics, grades,etc. they didn’t just hand it to me. When I got my first summer job the first thing my parents did was take me to the bank for a savings account. I learned to save 2/3 of it and spend a little. It taught me to budget and only spend money on the things I truly wanted/needed. It also taught me the value of higher education and the value of a dollar vs your time working a minimum wage job.
I think it would be so weird to have viewers acting entitled to unlimited information on your children. I think you've done a really good job on making great videos while not showing too much. That wouldn't be easy! And I've actually loved the new vlogs where it's mainly you chatting. ☺️

Love and appreciate that you share your family and life with us! I started following you when I got pregnant with my twins, they are girls as well. When they were 8 months old, one of my twin daughters passed away and your videos distracted me during some of the hardest times in my life. Y'all are amazing❤

I can't picture her ever saying anything that would cause her to be "cancelled". Racist or hateful behavior I don't believe would EVER come from her so I don't think she needs to worry. I don't believe in cancel culture but consequences are always a result of bad behavior. And like I said, she's very kind and loving, it would seem, to all.

The attachment thing!! My husband gets annoyed that I don’t do as much housework as he does but he doesn’t have to do it with twins pulling his pants down because as soon as I try to do housework, they’re yanking on my pants begging to be picked up. I can’t baby wear them alone because I need someone to put one on my back and also I’ve gotten stuck while tandem wearing them. I squatted to get something from a cabinet and my husband had to come pick me up because I couldn’t stand up!
You are so right. We live in a society that does not allow people to grow from their mistakes, even from 20 years ago. I think all you you tubers are brave to tackle the media course as you do.

Oh I love your sit down conversations. The boundaries you have for showing your children and discussing them is wonderful! There’s way too much over share and it can be scary showing little ones on the internet these days. I have 3 girls and I try to not put too much of their photos on social etc.

So refreshing to hear a woman talking about the sacrifice women go through and that doing it all is not actually attainable! I've struggled so much with this personally, my drive for a career and battling that with the desire for children. It really is difficult.

I really respect that you don't share every detail about your child's lives. I don't follow a lot of "family" channels because it feels weird that people are forcing it onto their kids. I like to see them here and there when it comes up, but this is one of the few channels I've seen where the parents have kids and I feel like the kids aren't being shoved into a spotlight that they didnt consent to. I really respect your content for what it is.

Also, I just want to say thank you for that bit about attached children. My son is Benji's age and he is a very attached, high maintenance baby. We still co-sleep and wake to nurse numerous times throughout the night and I have just been so sleep deprived. During the day, he really needs to be right by me or to be held which makes doing anything difficult, he even naps in my arms. It's so very hard because I am that to do list, have to get it done and check off all the things type of person. If my house is in disarray then I just don't feel good. It was a good reminder hearing your reassurance that life ebbs and flows and that bonding right now is of the utmost importance. There is a season for everything and when I am able to clean as I would like them that also means that we've phased out of the nursing and closeness that we share now, it's bittersweet . So thank you!

In regard to the kids, I began watching your channel around the time you adopted Rosie. So, I always love to see her in videos and hear how she is doing. It is like night and day from when you first got her. She didn’t know English. She came to a whole knew world. She came from a world where she probably didn’t get anywhere near as good of care as you give her. So, I’ve enjoyed watching her blossom. I always enjoy seeing how happy she is in your videos. Since then, I’ve enjoyed watching the twins and Benji come into their own. I think others feel that way too. Your boys are also very funny and very happy! I understand you want to protect their privacy, but I do think most of the ones that tune into your channel are like me and just enjoy seeing their adventures on the farm or how much they have blossomed. I would also like to adopt someday so I have found many of your videos very educational. I also had some concerns about adoption that you have either helped me over come through your adoption videos or by seeing how happy the children are just interacting with each and such.

For the darker days there are "daylight lamps" which can be used as a substitute to real sunlight (the light is very white non- flickering). I got one last winter and it changed my life!! I did not believe in them before but as soon as I turn the lamp on I get this good feeling of being content like catching a ray of sunlight on your face in the morning :) much love

I think because your life is so different with kids and a farm, people are curious. And some people get overly curious, and think they are entitled to know every detail about your life.
I agree about a homeschool video ❤️ we only have chickens a dog and a garden and a big yard and big house to care for and I still have a hard time fitting it all in! And six kids lol. Can't forget them.
Check out niacin deficiency in water fowl. It makes them look like they have neurological problems. Brewers yeast and peas have high niacin

We have a foster toddler has very big attachment issues, very understandably so. I’m trying to find a balance with her, my husband, and my other kids. It’s good to see it gets better in her actions each day, and with you saying it’s a thing in the past.

I think you and your family are doing so well, so many changes and so much hard work. I hope that once most of your projects - the present ones - you will have more time for yourself. I thought that your homeschool would change without a specific room/place so I’d love to know how you’re doing. What your children are learning is so much more than book learning.
We have to do up my kitchen cupboards, we moved in a couple of years ago and the red pine is too much. I want them done in a sage green. That is a project!!

You talking about having it all is very very true because we can’t. I was a stay at home mom for years and then I went back to work and it is such a massive push/pull because I still wanna be a good mom but I still need to be a good employee and it is a struggle and things do get sacrificed. And learning to say no when you want to help everyone is very hard.
