I sent your year old video when you were parked in your car. It was like you were talking to me directly. You’ve been a part of my faith in Jesus keeping me strong when my bodies weak. I have a lot of medical issues it’s hard sometimes but you’ve been a part of my spiritual journey. God bless Patrick, I’m trying to help you get views in my own way. Beginner guitar players would like to watch you so I’m trying to help. God bless
I'm a senior citizen trying to get better after fifty years removed from playing guitar as a teenager, now I'm wanna learn how to play guitar again. Right now after about four years just through CZcams videos, found your tutorial, like your methodology, God bless you young man, love too my Christian soldier.
Takes me back to my first guitar lessons. Now, My father was cheap, So he'd send my to get the lessons. Then when I come home I had to teach it to my Brother who play Bass. That way he got two for the price of one.
Sounds like your father was wise too. 😆 🤣 😂. I'm sure you're thankful though. You could play bass if you wanted to. How was that coming up? Brothers that played strings... did you and your brother play together often? Did you have chemistry?
@@PatrickJohnsonGuitar To be painfully truthful. It really sucked at time. We were the backup band for all my Father gospel Singing groups. That involved 8 hours of rehearsals on Fridays and Saturdays. Restrictions on dating. Sometime long weekends of traveling from town to town. state to state. Often for little or no money. My Father could not play an instrument or sing. Yet he took a the credit for our playing skills. Yet me and my brothers get along great and we still get together often. I have video posted of us playing together and yes, we have great chemistry . As long as it just us three and a cousin ,Who I also taught to play guitar in Vestapol. I'll link the video...czcams.com/video/y3G6BIb9ta0/video.html. we are all playing at different Churches as of now.
So it sounds like your dad was something like a pimp 😆 (I do say that respectfully) I watched your video of you and your brothers and yall are definitely locked in tight. There's nothing like playing with a group you really can connect with!
@@PatrickJohnsonGuitar Pimp😆🤣. That would be a good word for him. He made thousands of dollars off of us and his singers. The we'd get woud gas money of some food. His favorite line was "I aint paying nobody to sing/play." We had a good recording contract and record deal, but when found everyone had to be paid royalties. He fired everyone and to start another group under the same name and get those to duplicate the album. Thank for the compliment. We were one of many Brothers Musicians in our area. We could rehearse all day during the summers. Even our Cousin and a Neighbors kid joined in. We were tight. Ill link our last single. Thanks again. czcams.com/video/LbBS8z5Wfxo/video.html
I would recommend a custom 24 or a silver sky. You could probably find a custom under 500 and a silver sky around 600 on the reverb app. I've never played a PRS I didn't love. They may be a little pricey but the quality is so worth it. I want a hollowbody II piezo next.
Another good song and good lesson 🙏
Love the energy, that guitar is sweet!!!!!
I'm thinking about doing a video on the guitars I own...
I’ll watch that one.

God bless you, appreciate your instruction, never knew how to play that song.
Sounds like Sunday Morning.
Yessir!
Your lessons are great. Love your enthusiasm!
It gives me joy to share this with you all! I really am grateful!
Need to learn the quartet triad for the 4 & 5 chord. Would really help you out. Root note 3’rd string.
I've been studying triads with Kevin Wilson and it's about time I started applying them
