Knockout has been in the game far longer than Le Monarque but here it is. -1m
Cant forget the dunes nerf! 80 dmg, but still zooming around the map
the argument for one broken thing doesn't excuse another. They should both get the axe. But having one doesn't make the other one OK. ALL melee range buffs should be removed. I personally despise knockout, so I completely get you, but still.

secondly, if you werent making comparisons, why did you bring up knockout in the first place. you know darn well what you mean when y'all do this "but but this other (insert broken thing)." which is completely irrelevant to the discussion. bottom line: lemon has been a super annoying weapon in this game for a long freaking time.
I would’ve figured that they would leave the poison damage untouched and just halve the poison damage ticks. Would make it +7.5 damage from poison, which would make it 93.5 damage on a body if it were to have Lightweights’ 86 body damage.

I remember Mercules saying in one of the podcasts that Le Monarch will 2-body after the change. It will also hit a lot more consistently next season since all bows will become actually hitscan on full draw.

in your opinion are perks such as impulse amplifier and no distractions worth using on a precision bow? or are they an instant dismantle...
Impulse amplifier is in my opinion S tier and better than even Archers Tempo for Precision Frame Bows. Among all the bows that we have available I main a Wolftone with perfect perks and Impulse amplifier, on which I put 13k kills on while using it as a primary on it's own. Impulse is my favourite perk and will definitely be S+ tier next season.
No distractions is useless.

Is there anyway to get a bow without dlc in game? I can’t seem to find anything on this at all.🥺 I just started yesterday.
You can farm for a solar bow from Zavala, and next season we will get 2 new precision bows for nightfalls and for iron banner
The easiest way to fix le monarch is to give all bows a 5 second lock out after the arrow is fired where you can not swap weapons that fixes the hot swapping problem and drop the accuracy and zoom to match the other lightweight bows

Raconteur imo just feels better. I should try out Le Monarque again tbh and I'd LOOOVEEE for Peacekeepers benefits on Oathkeepers and would ABSOLUTELY make them worth playing for ALL PVP AND PVE. Also why the fuck has Bungie not decided to make Oathkeepers buff AOE effects of bows LOL

I think the quick-swapping nerf *needed* to happen. Maybe see if they could make it a special tuning for certain weapon classes, that way sniper/shotgun players aren't as punished?
I just don't think Quickswapping needed to continue being a viable strategy, so I'm glad they hit it as hard as they did. That said, it needs work and tuning based on bow player feedback.

Back in the day I'd buff my buddy with Lumina to one shot with Lemon and for me to body with a sniper. I miss those days, but I'm glad they existed in the first place.

I never really found lemon to be better than any of my godroll legendaries, i got like 15k bow kills, and only like 300 of those are from lemon

If I were to change or balance le monarque would be to make the poison shot to only proc on headshots and scale the body shot damage the same as a normal lightweight bow. The idea of making le monarque a special weapon is very good too!
Definitely a nerf to one shots and the extended down time from 3 sec poison. Though pretty sure it will be at a 580 ms base and can still body shot x2. Le Monarque buff. I'm ready to see how much the reload buff is.

Exotic weapons SHOULD stomp on legendary ones-i hate fighting against Monarch just like everyone else does but it's an exotic and that should make it stand out and allow it to stomp on less unique weapons.
People complaining about a high damage long range weapon are just crutching on shotguns and smgs, I'm pretty sure every complainer has a godroll Immortal and matador.. complain about scummy bows while crutching on scummy shotguns and smgs smh.
Yesssss I love being taken out of fights for 6 seconds and being forced to use healing nades!!!!. I hate the bow it has a disquisting amount of aim assist and takes zero skill but I will agree that other things are a problem like arc titan and solar hunter with tripmines.
people hating bows is fine, but the aim assist point has always been the most braindead thing people have complained about for any weapon in D2. As if the entire combat system isn't full of bullshit aim assist for every single gun. We even have auto-aim weapons for crying out loud.
@@mazokumo mhmm i get your point there but at the same time those guns still have recoil especially as a controller player some guns are genuinely just uncomfortable to use, snipers flinch like hell and really aren’t as easy to use as people say but yes still kinda annoying to face against while bows especially le monarque legit having zero flinch and having the legit bullet magnetism of lodestone is just annoying combined with the amount of damage and for some reason yesterday some people were legit just one shotting me with it without the poison idk wtf was going on, but I don’t have a problem with other bows like I’ll respect someone using a underused weapon class but le monarque specially is just such a low skill low risk high reward weapon and was the same case as forerunner the most annoying and cheesy gun worst mega ever in season of the haunted and plunder. (Edit) Also I wouldn’t really even bother talking about the auto aim guns they are all pretty shit and I’m pretty sure it’s only that garbage copium sidearm.

Just saying le monarque quick swaq is absolutely dead and u could see it from just reading about the nerf.
The point of quick swap was to have around a 0.6ttk at good range in exchange for not running a one shot special, now intead the ttk of the combo is around 1.5sec since u have to wait for the poison to fully tick to secure the kill
This is not true, you can double body at 1.2 seconds now with le monarque, oathkeepers and one armour loader. You don't have to wait for the poison, the poison ticks from the first shot stack over the ones from the second without having to wait for them. you can easily test this in a private match before making an assumption.

@@davidepanceri8192 oh my bad, ok. I thought you were talking about le monarque's own TTK when you said that huge number. But nevertheless quickswap TTK is still just as fast if you hit a headshot with the bow. You just can't quickswap from le monarque body anymore.
@@mazokumo lemon does 136direct and 16 dot you would have to go for double hs to get the good ttk which is totally not worth it when precision frames exist.
I'm not saying that lemon is bad it is just almost useless for swap builds now and low-key even for normal bow play since the legendary bows get to 1s (precision) and .9 (lightweight) ttk.
@@davidepanceri8192 yeah I suppose. Not a bad thing that le monarque was needed for quickswapping. Opens up the door to previously forgotten loadouts. It's a nerf for quickswapping and buff for other choices and loadouts.

Same here. Le monarque users pick up the weapon and never stop using it and it's been the same with me. 4 months playing the game and I haven't stopped using le monarque
@@StuartLittlesNo1Hater theres no need to worry, le monarque will still be very good and if you pair it with oathkeepers itll be even better to use with a shotgun, if you really want to quickswap, just go get Wishender.
@@mazokumo I never use oathkeepers. I stick to graviton forfeit and le monarque. I dont get why they would make all these changes when everyone who uses it will have to relearn the weapon
@@StuartLittlesNo1Hater there's no "re-learning" the weapon, if you cant get the poison, you will still get a kill if you hit a headshot since lightweight damage profile is 137 to the head and 86 to the body.
if you hit a headshot you will be guaranteed a bodyshot kill, and viceversa.
i have bow friends and this change is literally not bad at all, it just encourages you to hit a headshot. If this bothers you at all, you can still get a Precison frame Bow and hit bodyshots like Le Monarque.

It was uncharacterized! Because it's behaviour in PvP then this happened to the bow! Because the sandbox is not separated, because PvP and PvE are not separated!

It's a lightweight bow with intrisic volatile rounds plus some damage buff!

@@mazokumo This not the point! The point is the weapon was uncharacterized, it's something else, all this because the sandbox is not separated, because of its behavior in PvP then it is "balanced" in PvE too, the weapon was doing well in PvE.
If not for this reason, then the weapon would not have changed in PvE!

le monarque will still be the best bow to use on its own. just pair it with a shotgun on oathkeepers. if not, get a precision frame with 576ms drawtime and itll be better. if you want to quickswap, wishender is your best choice next season.
