I can’t believe we finally ran into each other after all these years! And we were sitting right next to each other and I just randomly looked up and saw you. What a special treat. You are right the hiking community it’s the most special group of people I know. So about that distillery, the reason why it was separated is because they bought their ABC liquor license and beer license separate. When you go to other restaurants in Virginia you can drink alcohol and beer in the same place if you have the appropriate license. Gotta to go check this waterfall and arch out the next time I’m out that way! Until the next time, happy adventuring my friend! ~RVAHG
Heck, I live in Pennsylvania, and Virginia STILL has weirder laws than I've seen on alcohol. 😂 RVA is the best! I was wondering what she kept saying we need to go see... she was looking at the arch and waterfalls in the beginning of this video! 😄 Beautiful footage!
I love the VA Love signs. You can find them all over the state. I was born, raised and lived in VA for over 50 years so I'm not sure what state law would prohibit why beer could not be taken over to the liquor side. I'm not sure where you are, but the only thing I can think of is if one side is designated as a distillery and the other side as a brewery.

It was great meeting you! Loved the video. I need to find this trail next year!
Ditto! ❤️
And the trail is short and worth the trip. 🙂

I think it had something to do with "Trail days" and maybe it was a short term license maybe. Not sure.
Great fun...shame about the rain
The hiker company was good to be around. 🙂
I've missed it.
