It's going great so far on my iPhone 15 Pro Max. The batterylife is so much better than iOS 17.5.1!

Pretty great on the iPhone 14 Pro Max for me. Mostly smooth with minor hick ups and battery life being slightly worse.

Will apple intelligence be coming to the UK? Seeing as we’re no longer in the EU (might seem like a dumb question but I always get confused as to whether certain feature etc will come to us) we didn’t get side loading like the EU have so I’m hoping we do get it because I’m super excited to see what apple intelligence has to offer

Hey Brandon I’m having trouble with the shortcut app
Bug I’ve been having is when swiping out of CZcams, Picture in Picture activates at random times. Have you had this issue?
About the playing audio while recording in iOS/iPadOS18 : does this also mean that you can set up your iPad so that you can play audio from more than one source without all but one pausing?
How is the transcription working for you when you use t on 18? I am finding it to be so-so at best. A lot of wrong words. The Badge count issue is back for Mail and several apps where the count is now updating after app opening. Other times it is very hit or miss. . In Safari encountering an issue with Bookmarks where the icon greys out. Open the link will restore it for a bit but on some it comes back. Not a bad beta 1. Has a number of bugs but nothing that would stop me using it.
I wouldn't put expensive items inside of a checked bag, I have a carry-on and a personal bag I leave in the main cabin with me at all times, carrying nicer clothing, expensive electronics, or cash if I'm traveling to the islands. I agree, we need some more common sense during times where large corporations are dropping the ball on their customers.
Yep, exactly. My checked bags only have clothes and toiletries. All of the valuables are on me, always

I’ve been having this annoying bug with the lock screen and the notifications. My phone would go off as if everything was normal, but no matter what I did the notifications would not appear on the lock screen the only way I’ve been able to fix it is by resetting all settings
Big problem with shortcuts. Music controls aren't there. I had shortcuts to play specific playlists that are now broken
Hey, I don't expect you've mentioned this but there are some features for Braille Screen input. You can now make it go into BSI whenever you enter any textfield. It has typing sounds as well.

For TV os, my tv now doesn’t sync right with my Apple HomePods. I repeated and reset it multiple times

idk if its just me but on ios18, my podcast app has stopped tracking my spot i left a podcast on to listen to go another and just displays as unplayed
I forgot which Apple Watch beta I was in years ago, but it had the same issue about not counting randomly. I would walk a couple miles, and only 1/2 mile would be recorded. It would randomly continue and you miss out when it stopped. It happened for like a month. I had to walk a lot to get my goals. Because of that, I will never do a beta in the watch again. Stand hours didn’t work sometimes either. The bars would flash after breath fading on the current hour. They are suppose to go solid. They never went solid on random hours.
IOS 18 When is going to be available to it in Canada?
So it’s been fine for the most part. Aside from the icons not all changing, I’ve had SOS issues, and I have to restart my phone to fix it. Also, my Ring app notifications are bugged. It makes the ring chime, but the notification preview doesn’t pop up.
I’ve noticed some of the things I was having issues with suddenly got fixed. I feel like they are server updates. For instance my search on iPad wasn’t working and now it’s working.

1:54 - There any info anywhere about how to add my energy provider to the home app? That's totally new to me. If you mentioned it before, I missed it.
main concern for me while using this was the shortcuts apps, many of them work as they should but many of them aren't especially the ones related to apple music, like it cant access my library and find songs in it that is one of the most frustrating thing, rest visual bugs and battery drain isnt unlikely in developer betas but i would love if they fix the shortcuts as quickly as possible because many automation and shortcut i used multiple times everyday

I had the jiggle mode bug on my iphone 15 pro max, you have to press the done button to remove the jiggle mode, thankfully I'm not to big of a homescreen user I mostly use the library
Is there any news about if RCS feature coming on old IOS devices? its not like new hardware required for it.
I love crazy AirTag stories. I now only fly with a backpack. I leave my jewelry at home & pack light. It sucks sometimes, but at least I know my stuff will never go missing!

I’ve had issues with Shortcuts. I use this for many things and most of mine do not work. Stating that the action could not be found. I do not know if this is just me.
Audio playback doesn’t t work when trying to record video. When starting to record a video, music stops playing. Even when music is sheet playing, it defaults to only video and stops the music. On iPhone 12 Pro Max

On which devices is the voice transcription in the Notes app is available, because I don't see it on the iPhone 12 Mini?
It says for the notes transcriptions on Apple’s website: Available on iPhone 12 and later in English (Australia), English (Canada), English (Ireland), English (New Zealand), English (South Africa), English (UK), and English (U.S.).
My phone completely broke from iOS 18 and i tried to leave but when I back upped my phone it didn’t work but it said it did and now i have none of my information because of the beta
Anyone else have the bug when playing videos in the photos app sometimes the volume is toggled off and doesn’t work unless closing out the app?

I use a iPhone 12 as a desk clock/alarm clock. This iPhone also air plays music when I go to bed. I wanted to mess around with iOS 18 and installed it on this 12. the only problem I had is AirPlay didn’t work to my home pod minis. I ended up downgrading back to 17 and will just wait until it’s properly released.
Also, yes. The iPhone 12 screens is on 24/7 displaying the time from a clock app. It’s been on almost a year strait now.
I must say I am impressed with the dev beta for iOs 18, I am on an iPhone 11 and it works just fine, apart from the battery life being diminished, but I was expecting that already
You can record videos with music playing in a non-‘hacky’ way too. Open the camera (in photo mode) and just hold and lock the shutter button to record a video.
Aspect ratio is the same as the photo you would have taken, frame rate is locked at 30 and Music is recorded from your phone’s speaker (like in Snapchat).
I have done it on iOS 15, but It probably works on earlier versions too. (If anyone uses anything earlier at all lol)
Out of curiosity, is there any difference between the developer beta and the public beta ? If I want to try iOS 18 , should I wait for the public beta or try the developer beta .

Of course there is a difference. Developer beta is mainly for purpose of developers (who make apps) to test their apps in iOS18. So it wont be stable, it will have bugs, it is not designed for public. There will also be a Dev Beta 2 and probably a Dev Beta 3. Maybe more after. After that next is probably the Public Beta 1 - maybe Public Beta 2 and so on. Its not recommended to install developer beta if its your only main device/iPhone but its completely up to you but expect bugs and things not working 100% as expected. Even with Public Beta can have strange bugs. Well actually even when its out of beta you will of course still have bugs, just not as many/serious (well usually)

Iv been battling this morning with, “homepod not responding “ and seconds after that my phone resets and does a weird white screen freeze until total hard reset. I deleted homepod application and it seems to be running a tad better. Anyone else having this issue?

I would prefer longer battery life instead of thinner devices.
For me there is absolutely no issues with the thickness of current devices and would think it would be a better experience to have bigger and better batteries.
I found a bug in settings on screen timer it won’t let me click on it it just boots me out
Same… I noticed this as I have the widget and the widget asked me to open settings and it would kick me out
18 on my 15PM seems to be just fine, a little hit on the battery for me but nothing to turn my nose at. Just a couple of stutters every once in a while...
Is anyone else having an issue with the Batery widget on the Lock Screen? I am not able to change witch device it hows the batery for. It just keeps rotating between my watch phone and AirPods
I have a question. I use lots of Bluetooth devices. When u swipe down to access the control center, there is airplane mode, bluthooth, and airdrop. I was wondering if there is any was to change what’s on that specific control. Like can I change it to Bluetooth, cellular data, and airplane mode.

I know you can click on it and it will show u all the options. But I would like to have them set up so I don’t have to click on it then find Bluetooth or whatever .

Not really. I have it on my IPad, iPhone and it’s really buggy. Had to send a bunch of feedback reports. I know it’s beta but you saying it’s chef kiss now is just not true.

Idk the bugs are killing me. Main two are that I added a translate icon in control center and now I can’t get rid of it no matter what, it’s just bugged. And also the notification center just doesn’t show me my most recent notifications and won’t let me scroll down to see the old ones. Very strange
I'm planning to upgrade to iPhone 16 Pro because of the AI features. I have a 14 Pro (which I got about a year and a half ago) and I don't *typically* get a new phone this quickly, but I really want the AI integration. Sure, I could get a 15 Pro, but if I have to wait til the fall anyway, why not just wait til the 16 Pro is out? (that's a rhetorical question).
Do you know if apple is going to fix it where everything is much smaller then usual? Idk if people even care but I’m visually impaired and I don’t like my phone to look special and some text sizes bother me if it’s to big and I like to keep my home/Lock Screen at 130 and everything else at 160 and 160 is still small on iOS 18 and 190 is way way to big and nothing keeps it same size layout
