  • In this video we review the Channellock 200 piece Mechanics Tool Set and perform a drop test to determine if any of the sockets or other parts pop loose or travel from one compartment to another, or end up in a pile of sockets you'll have to pick up. We'll also show you how the channel lock ratchet works for you as good as their famous other tool, the channel locks.

Channel lock ratchet set tool review
This channel locks socket set is the channellock 39151 mechanic's tool set review we've been eagerly waiting on since Sams Club advertised in during the one day sale. Normally this channellock tool set is available at Sams Club for $89.99, and not found in many of the Sams club location either. But during this rare one day sale at Sams Club, this channellock 200 piece tool set was discounted to $69.99 for one day only. We also suspect that this Channelock 39151 mechanics tool set might be an exclusive to Sam's Club, since no one else seems to carry this mechanics tool set. Many stores like Costco also have their own exclusive versions of the mechanics tool set on display in the store.

FYI - Most of these sets come with "equivalent" sizes for the missing metric ones. For example, 11mm is equivalent to 7/16 so they figure you can use the 7/16 in lieu of 11mm, 16mm equivalent to 5/8, etc. It's just the nature of these types of sets.

You got it MMA! The 3/8" ratchet is missing the other screw, you can see it very clearly at 5:59. I was going to film it but the video was getting too long, I kept dodging rain over 2 days of filming and I needed to wrap it up, just uploaded the video within a half hour of the premiere, so barely made it as i is. I do plan to call Channelock for a replacement, they have a lifetime warranty. We'll see how well their warranty works! I've had the 136 professional mechanic tool set for a very very long time and it has been a very quality set other than the hex screw driver because it doesn't lock the hex so it slips right off. But their ratchets and sockets have been great thus far. I really wish they would expand their tools and make breaker bars and torque wrenches. And even sell sockets separately because I have a few missing from my set. My set have a really fine polish. I guess they started following the trend of other brands and making them overseas...

The other sets went for more dollars and the had regular wrenches while there were 14 ratchet wrenches included in this set. The set of ratchet wrenches alone, cover the cost alone of the whole set.
