  • The former Nissan boss Carlos Ghosn has shed new details on his daring escape from Japan while under close surveillance in an exclusive interview with Al Arabiya.
    Ghosn attracted international attention after he fled Japan, where prosecutors were investigating him for financial irregularities while CEO of Nissan, reportedly being smuggled out of the country inside a box intended to transfer musical instruments despite being under strict surveillance from authorities.

      Lebanon needs to ally with Iran and build a front against Israel. Not a religious alliance, but one predicated on military support and intelligence sharing. After the Beirut Port incident, Lebanon has to make tough decisions, you can't bring in some corporate guy who is naive about the situation over there.

    After 18 years of success and naming him as Mr. Fix, Samurai, and a lot of awards, it is really shame for building case without evidence or with lack of proofs... We are proud to have such leader in Lebanon, with high integrity, transparency, and long term visibility...

    I have great respect for Calros Ghosn. His escape is one of the greatest anthologies in the history of great invasions.
    This man deserves great respect because he was able to evade the surveillance of the police and the Japanese justice system. However, Japan is a serious and meticulous country, Carlos managed to fault them. It's worthy of a French polytechnician: clever, intelligent, smart...

    We must stand by Carlos and ensure his well being . I am proud of him . I'm looking forward to sharing his story of success with my future kids and grandkids. He provides our generation and future generations to come a great amount of inspiration and pride ! This is not just an attack on Carlos but this is an attack on all the Lebanese individuals identities on the world stage . Carlos, you are a worthy role model !

    I think that Ghosn is not innocent. BUT also, not THAT guilty ya know? I mean, in many cases, you are partially guilty... the thing is that, hes was condemned even before the trial and thats not fair at all. Also, Im not sure if the escape was the right thing to do, even if Japan's judiciary system have some clear issues to be considered in this case.

    It comes to my mind that if they wanted the guy out, why didn't they simply fired him? It seems a lot harder to create a a complex law conspiracy just to get a guy out of the control of the company.

      It was impossible for the japanese to fire him, the decisiond are made in france, remember, renault saved Nissan from bankruptcy.
      Also the japanese didn't agree to see French gov controlling 15% of Renault.

      He is dishonorable. It is Lebonese law that he be imprisoned for his involvement in growing the Isreal economy. Even for just going there. He has escaped justice again even in Lebanon. Whether or not you agree with the law, he has evaded justice due to his power and influence. Hopefully your "Acedemic Paper" involves him as a Cautionary Tale.

    I think it was brave to come and answered questions. I am so sad that this kind of story is not solved quickly. In my story, he was a legal CEO who helped me against corrupted people in his company.

    In the corporate world and in the auto industry in particular Mr. Ghosn is one of the best executive in the world .
    There's also another Lebanese executive his name is Jack Nasser and he was the former chairman of Ford motor co.

    Tous les grands patrons des grandes multinationales commettent des excès, car Carlos Ghosn en a certainement commis mais peu importe, ce qui est important à savoir, ,'est ce que Carlos Ghosn subit une injustice ou une justice ??, et la réponse à cela est biblique , La justice n'apporte que la paix et la prospérité, alors que l'injustice cause des conflits des malheurs et des pertes,au vu des résultats c est une injustice , le travail de Carlos Ghosn doit être mis dans la balance pour etre peser selon les normes de selon la loi la sagesse et la conscience humaine , toujours sous l'œil vigilant d un juge suprême infaillible dans ces jugements , je savoure donc déjà l'innocence de cet homme quelque soit le scenario les mises en scene et les complots des lâches et des rats .

    Carlos Ghosn was an over-rated and overpaid executive along with CEO's from F, GM, Nissan and a few more that - while they were cashing in insane bonus - managed over the years to shrink the market values of their companies to a fraction of what these companies were worth when they took over. They totally missed the big picture in the automotive industry. Carlos is a genius in self-promoting himself. That's about his only merit. I think his ex-wife described him with particular insight.
