Are you serious? Melo was on the final year in 18-19 of a 28+ million contract plus whatever endorsement deals were still coming his way and whatever he got in 18-19 from a couple of failed NBA stints.
Melo can head overseas and earn still a specular living, his 28 million in one year, compares to US median income of $40,000 dollars a year and pulled out over a lifetime, tells us he earned 15 or 16 times more in year 18-19, than an average American earns over a life time. And, thats omitting his prior earnings over his NBA career.
Melo is stubborn and arrogant because basketball is today played all over the world. Melo just can't comprehend he might have to do like Marbury and go overseas. When I watched 4 time champ Overseas Elite win its 29th game, with many ex-NBA stars, some trying to work their way back to NBA---there I see humbled men.
Melo is just scared and desperate and realizing that fraternity he once belonged, doesnt want his Ass anymore. He's got 99 problems, but faking humbleness aint gonna solve 1. If he loves basketball he will go anywhere to play or take his old ass to a business broker buy some shopping malls and cruise into retirement.

Jerry Dames even though Melos last recent seasons have all been underwhelming I wouldn’t call him a cancer he definitely has shortcomings but I still think he’s a plus to any team he’s own in the right role and rockets basically gave him the short end of the stick and to be honest okc did the same exact thing a whole season without him as they did with him lose disappointingly in the first round and the rockets also repeated what they are known for great regular season but always find a way to choke in the playoffs so melo may have been a problem on teams with numerous problems already

I liked Melo throughout his career. He was nasty in his late years in Denver, and was still raw with the knicks. A lot of big games. Let's not forget his level of play against Kobe in the playoffs when he was still in Denver.
