Now that his offense isn't as vastly great his negatives are no longer outweighed... So you not willing to put up with all the things he is not good at just for him to inefficiently score... You can get almost any professional player to do that... Which is what teams are saying...

Hey Carmelo, I support you.
Here’s the simple reason melo not on a team.
He’s a defensive liability who teams need to hide using other players because it used to be worth it considering his offensive production.
However, now that this league favors the 3 ball so much and melo is a mid range scorer along with his age, slowed movement, hustle and athleticism it isn’t worth it to have to build a team that will cover for him defensively. You cover for stars not bench players.
It has nothing to do with the politics, melo. Nobody’s out to get you. You’re easily better than half the league but the half you’re better than either is young and has potential to grow or are role players that can play good defense, shoot the 3 or just hustle. You’re a past star that is no longer an efficient option in that role.
But with that being said SOME team needs to give you a deal. Even with your liabilities, you’re still worth keeping on a roster.
