I've found detaching from social media and focusing on making art that comes from synthesizing all my inspirations, something from my heart, has been incredibly fulfilling and life giving.

Thanks for showing the text breakdown at the end. I like to take notes and showing the outline of talking points is helpful 👍👍

Create portfolio pieces as tho you're working on an actual project is defenitly what's working for me right now. I posted a bunch of the stuff from the concept art project I've been working on LinkedIn (mostly sketches with some fuly rendered stuff) and it got some likes from industry professionals, which usally NEVER happens for me. So glad to know that I might be close to achieving my goal! 👍

I got to say this is one of the most reassuring videos for someone who is a Student who wants to go to university because it helps focus on what I want to do and not worry about other artists work and not to focus on the little things and realising that you will get better on your own so long as you focus on what you want to do

This doesn't just apply to students, it applies to folks who've been in the industry a couple of years and are struggling to get regular work.

This is very tricky, especially concentrating on the things we want to design as Concept Artists. I'm a Creature Designer at heart. Once I put pencil on paper, or stylus to screen, it's naturally what comes out of me. I've been told not to design any more creatures and concentrate on other things, showing more variety, but there are Concept Artists I admire out there who have made a living designing Creatures, so why can't I?

You def can, but if you are trying to get the foot in the door your chances will certainly be higher with a bit of variety

Sick and tired of trying and trying? Only one thing to do... try again! Still better than quitting.

Well at least there’s tons of free content like this out there which is more than I ever had. Hopefully you have the discipline.

Thanks bald Jerry Seinfield. All jokes aside this is the truth, but the bigger slap in the face is someone who has no creative talent can output work far greater than a proficient artist thanks to AI.
