Caterpillar D6B summer cold start with new injection pump

Old injection pump war really worn and caused bad idle and lack of power. I found a pump from D6C that had been in storage for a long time and therefore had low hours.

It has been used previously in swamp, harvesting peat. That's why it has wide tracks. They are great in snow too.

Thanks for asking. There's about 350kg's of caterpillar engine parts sailing on the sea in a container. :) Should arrive in May. I'm planning driving it in next summer.

those are some wide tracks! what purpose are they for? wet ground? nice idle too!

Where did you find one? I need to rebuild my 1968 D6 inection pump and could use some help locating or rebuilding tips as well as making the special tools. Thank you
