I remember playing on random Minecraft worlds with my friends and sisters, looking for “evidence” of Herobrine and building shrines to summon him. It was so much fun :’)
I would love if it was revealed one day that Herobrine was indeed added by Mojang after the story, only generating at some astronomical interval. Much like how people think the Beatles were intentionally screwing with people, making references with Paul's "death."
This legend will be remembered in all of minecraft's history...

I was 9 when I first heard about Herobrine. 9 years later I'm still just as obsessed about him. He was the first creepypasta story I heard and he's the reason why I love horror and writing horror so much. I still make Herobrine shrines in my Minecraft worlds. Gives me some good nostolgia.

I had one weird encounter with what I though was a Herobrine's actions. I found several, usually cobblestone, structures and some mining tunnels in my singleplayer world. After some (scared) searching around, I discovered (or figured out) that those were my safehouses of very old, deleted world.
Yes ive heard the code of a deleted realm lingers and can mix with the new creation. I honestly did have something weird though and im not claiming its Herobrine as it doesnt meet all the classic telltale signs but i honestly do wonder. In my case ive had a player character sprite dressed in full leather armor shoot me with a bow in my hardcore realm day 1 during daylight up on the plains. This being hardcore i reacted or semi panicked and when i realised no mob should look like that gathered myself to check it out only to find nothing.

ive hade an experince like this as well. im not entirely sure what happned, but most likely it was cross world generation. i was looking for an ocean monument one day when there was just this house sespended one block over the water. it was just sitting there, empty. no walls or beds or chests on the inside. just a house floating over the ocean.

There was a time when I was young where I was sure I found herobrine. There was a lightning strike on a mountain and my friend said he might spawn from that. Then there was this creeper that wouldn’t die no matter how many times I hit it. I was convinced it was herobrine that shape shifted. This was when herobrine was very popular.

I have a similar story; I was watching my friend play the game on Pocket Edition, when he came across a forest with the 2nd and 3rd log from every tree missing. He had never been to that forest, and even if he did and forgot about it, he didn’t farm wood like that (because who does that). It was weird.

That fog effect is cool, they should add it as a weather effect in the actual version of the game.
You can do it yourself by maximising the fog effect and turning off the particlea during a thunderstorm

I remember growing up with these Herobrine stories. I didn't even like Minecraft honestly but I for some reason still kept up with all these Herobrine stories bc I found it fascinating that players worlds might have been haunted by this Herobrine figure. I remember all the videos of ppl claiming they saw him in their world most of the time proven to be faked but was still interesting to see and watch all of them. Songs were made about him. Even roleplay stories being made him about him. Its amazing how the myth of Herrobrine grew so popular and I honestly thing MC has him to thank for how popular the game got at the time.

At least some kind of herobrine has existed. I was playing minecraft Iphone edition a few years ago and dug into a mountain and found a steve model just standing in the wall. Didnt move, wasnt affected by gravity. Couldnt interact with it. I cant remember if it had white eyes or regular ones.

I remember hearing story after story related to Herobrine as a little kid playing Minecraft. People would spread rumors about how to spawn him, I would hear stories about people seeing Herobrine, I would hear people talking about how "powerful" he was, among many other things. Of course none of that was true, even as a kid in single digit age, I found it hard to believe. But I think this is easily one of the best myths to ever touch the internet. It's so creative and presents an eerie tone. The render distance is so low, it adds to the feeling of that picture even more. So iconic, I love it so much

probably the title screens of newer versions, like 1.14, that has a village and an outpost, assuming its not forged
It's really a matter of what's realistically possible for them to find next. Now that all the REALLY famous seeds have been found who knows what their next projects will be apart from the latest panoramas. They've even found all of the seeds used in Smash Brothers except for House of Boom (Steve's Final Smash) which was created in Bedrock. THAT will take a looooong time to find since all of their extremely complicated and technical seed knowledge and seed finding methods have been based in various Java editions.
You know how Java and Bedrock editions will produce vastly different worlds if you give the same seed to each version? Imagine all the extremely complex math and code behind each version and their extremely large amount of differences that aren't remotely comparable at the technical level that these mad lads need to look at to find various seeds.
