So actually server chunks can over ride a single player world. a youtuber covered this at some point in the past year. Sooooo
I think the youtuber was antivenom
The way the Minecraft Community has shaped the game is amazing… like imagine what Minecraft would be like if Herobrine never existed…
Yea it would be so wierd
I bet people be making dollars off that character-😭
if herobrine didnt exist then some sort of Creepypasta would exist but to think, entity pastas wouldnt be a thing hypothetically
I would have been a lot more bored 8 years ago
Would have sucked.
It's crazy how short the classic Minecraft era actually was. There was only about 3 years between the early alphas and the 1.0 release. That's less than 1000 days, but it spawned so many legends, mysteries, content, and fond memories.
it feels so much longer than just 3 years. alpha and betas almost seem to last longer than the full release, lol
@@Patrix8558 I know. Everything about Minecraft's timeline just boggles my mind.
Did you know that Bunnies have existed in Minecraft for longer than the period where they didn't exist? Did you know the period between when Ethoslab began his Terrafirmacraft series and today is longer than the period between when he began youtube and when he started Terrafirmacraft?
@@darkestccino5405 i dont know who Ethoslab is, but some month ago I couldnt process just for how long Enderman and the entire End were part of Minecraft. I swear it is gonna be similar to bunnies.. it is gonna be in longer than not. And yet, it still feels as if it was an addition to "the old minecraft"

303 was a pretty cool idea until it completely lost all grounding by having it leave the game and kill people. That kinda thing is usually what kills most creepypastas.
Same for Null with the "he's cooler and more powerful than [established creepypasta character] and [established character] is scared of them he's so powerful and cooler."
@@ashumon23 It's literally just a bunch of generic creepypasta tropes thrown into one thing, I'm surprised it didn't mention buying a haunted minecraft cartridge from a yard sale or something.
@@JimMilton-ej6zi "I found a creepy, broken copy of minecraft in a parking lot behind a a defunct waffle house at 3:42am on Thursday."
Yeah. The outside of game elements are strsight up removed in my interpretation
@ashumon23 Wait, when is this said?
I love the early alpha lighting. I love the mystique and unknown of the early game when it wasn't yet sure which way would it go. I think some mods today and even from back then still capture the spirit pretty well but man am I sad to think that there was a time when minecraft had potential to be bit more than 'that kid friendly game with blocks'. Pity the horror-like elements went away.
Thinking about it a bit more that might be why players wanted Phantom. To recapture the scary uncertain nature of early versions.
happy all hallows’ eve
Early alpha lighting is having the brightness level turned to zero or moody.
Horror elements in media that aren’t explicitly horror will never not be fascinating and captivating to me. Shame those days are over in Minecraft.
the reason why so many of these were believable back in the day was simply... because indie devs back in the day really would sneak random stuff like UFOs into their games on some updates for no reason other than to act as an easter egg
They were also believable because we were kids. Minecraft's code has always been an open book (avoiding the loaded term "open source") with modders generating their own de-obfuscaters long before Mojang started releasing their "official mappings." Note how all the forum threads screenshotted are met with, not even skepticism, but incredulity.
Remember the ghost girl in GTA. That one scared me sooo fucking badly lmao. (I know GTA isn’t indie but that doesn’t matter)
Easter eggs were just very common in the 2000s

I feel like no other block game or successor to Minecraft will ever have such fun, legendary, almost mythical early days shrouded in legend and mystery. I started playing pretty early and still remember trying to build Aether portals and spawn Herobrine. The lack of polish and the niche community as the game first began to grow added such charm. Its kind of sad how much that stuff has faded away, even most of the old Minecraft content is no longer accessible (I've spent hours trying to find the first Minecraft video I watched to no avail). Newer block games with much better design are in the works, but nothing will replicate the experience of growing up with the fundamentally chaotic and indie early Minecraft.
Same here, the first Minecraft video I vividly remember watching was called "Creeper Keeper" by akspartankiller, which has been taken down for years at this point, and I haven't found a reupload of it
i remember being scared that something is gonna get all my items so every creative world i make i make a bedrock wall and then an underground base everytime it rains. lol-
Try Subnautica
first one i watched was Xs adventures, still revisit that series once a year.
True
God that thumbnail gave me so much nostalgia... I honestly miss being creeped out by herorbine, null, and entity 303... the fact that I know all of them should be sufficient enough evidence that I miss those times. I wish it was still 2013-2016.
Those were the good days. It's been so long
@@amandapanda5087agreed
I will never forget playing mc on 360 as a kid and in one of the early updates it said “removed herobrine”. Mojang was definitely more intuned with the community back then
Unfortunately the community kind of hates them now.
@@mosshivenetwork117We don't hate mojang, we hate microsoft.
@@mosshivenetwork117 Can't really imagine why. (This is me being sarcastic)
As a vet this brought so much nostalgia. Remember school kids warning me about herobrine being in your world if there were 6 pumpkins in a row at spawn. Good times.
before we even owned Minecraft, me and my older brother would talk about Herobrine
we even thought that when you got killed in the game you became Herobrine and would control all the monsters
Those Random Fires in Single Player Worlds with no sources to do so were always curious.
yeah same
LOL, my friend told me he comes from underground ravines, Even years after I still subconsciously avoided underground ravines, oh the nostalgia
I was told that if I find a fallen tree with a mushroom at spawn it's a sign for Herobrine. As a kid I didn't know that is a standard bedrock feature so when I finally got my first tablet which can run Minecraft I saw that and freaked out, not playing Minecraft for years later. We used to have someone give their phone in a group so everyone would play for 5-10 minutes. Best time ever! We even encountered a funny situation where a villager would violently bob his head around and the entire group was laughing their asses off.
Also, it's worth mentioning the "null" signs were caused by an bug when updating to 1.8 from 1.7 and then back to 1.7.
Imagine the kids being scared for their lives when seeing null signs, after watching videos about null
also note that in a lot of programming languages, "NULL" (sometimes "nil" or "void") is a type of value which is empty/nothing. So there could easily be an explanation for signs not loading properly, and thus, the code loading in null, aka nothing.
Tbh the null creepypasta still creeps me to this day, i even remember scouring over my minecraft game files and found a file named null, whitch obviously wasnt about the creepypasta, it freaks me out and even made me stopped play minecraft for like three months
yeah that bug happened to me and i was so scared lmao
@@buynlargesuperdump2435 Null is also the german word for "zero".
fun fact for old alpha worlds, if you delete the level file but nothing else then start a new world with the same name it will then load a new world with the old world jumbled with the new world. if you continue the whole process you will have so many chunk errors that it becomes a mess
Ah I see, this is likely what happened with deadskinmask then.
Yea I remember that happened to me once and I was like Woah I came back to my base...And made conclusion that Minecraft world is interconnected.
Although not to that scale, I have also experienced loading up a world that was already 'lived in' many years ago. In my case I created the world and near to the spawn was a dungeon. The thing that happened in my case is that there were already torches around, the chests were looted and the spawner block was mined. I regret that in my young stupidity I got rid of the world, for I wonder if anything else could have been found. With respect to how it happened, the multiplayer chunk save seems to be the most believable as well. It's not a stretch to think that some of the loaded chucks saved in cache could overwrite a singleplayer chunk in a chunck error. Don't forget you recently made a video yourself showing how you can be in different world at the same time even nowadays.
Entity 303 was one of the myths I'd heard about for a while but was always so confused on its existence.
first time hearing about it during this video, but it seems like that old Aesop story (i think) about importance to not exaggerate when telling a story if you wanna appear believable. 303 sounds like such a bs stretch..
i remember my friend trolling me by convincing me about the existence of herobrine, entity 303, null and more
Same
@@infinityyworks herobrine was scary, cause you never knew if it was added or not. and the game overall, as mentioned in the video, felt much more mysterious and scary at times. the atmosphere was different compared to today's minecraft
@@Patrix8558 yeah I was going to comment the same thing. Tbh Entity 303 sounds like a shitty SCP lol. And the skin isn’t creepy either. At the time not only was the idea of Herobrine terrifying, but also his appearance too. The fact he looks exactly like Steve but with pure white eyes is unnerving af. Whoever came up with that creepypasta terrified an entire generation of children, including myself! 😃 I remember my cousin changing his skin to Herobrine and joining my world on the sly. He was in creative and I remember looking up and seeing him levitating there, watching me. He did confess that it was him but I didn’t want to play Minecraft for a WHILE after that lmao
Man, I had no idea there were more Minecraft conspiracy theories then just herobrine!

Yep, there's a lot!

@@TheMisterEpic Hi
Yeah theres a WHOLE LOT more my dude
That mechanical spider unfolding from its cobblestone camouflage looked awesome...but would be terrifying to randomly encounter.
old minecraft files are certainly strange... one of my old survival worlds for example, one day I saw the save file was gone, I was very sad since I had made a lot of progress, so I decided to start a new world, new world new name. I after a bit of meloncoly exploring the jungle, I noticed something familiar, the desert temple in the jungle! just like my previous save! so I ran out and found my house just nearby with pretty much everything in it. so strange
I clicked on this expecting the simple herobrine and disc 13 story, and even though that was there, I learned of new things like the UFO story.
Same I also learned the 303 and null story
Also I already new what null and 303 were I just didn't see the story of them
Same I learn ufo which was pretty interesting
@@udzclock6118 same.
Alien myths are in like every game.
I remember back in the Halloween update going into a world and finding small buildings I never made in parts of the world I haven't explored yet, as well as torches in perfectly sealed caves. Pretty sure it's a prank coded in the game with a very specific trigger and it was probably removed soon after.
That’s really interesting if true
a village maybe? there was a period where they would spawn empty cuz villagers werent in the game yet
it was walpole
@@random_youtubeguy That was too late to apply though
For 4:30's mystery, it could be either that he'd replaced his survival world with some downloaded world accidently before updating, a possibility if he was pirating the build like many people did in the early days when Mojang's DRM wasn't as secure, or possibly a family or friend would hop on to play occasionally, only for their build to be cut off or built on chunk errors.
When your game without any lore at all, has lore created by the fanbase, then you know you've made a good game
It's hard to maoe a game without lore withour anyone giving lore to it,tbf
Specially nowadays
Ahh, 303, Null, Herobrine... Brings back memories. Me and my sister used to be afraid of caves and other dark places because we thought that they (mainly Herobrine) were within the darkness watching us. We were even afraid of the cave noises because we thought it was them, lol. I do miss the olden days, but I'm happy with were I'm at now.
Leafless trees, mysterious signs, random redstone torches, weird caves and alters.
I remember getting spooked one time thinking Herobrine was in my Minecraft world I stopped playing the game for a while, when I did come back I was too scared to join that world again and made a new one from scratch
Love how you recreate some of these stories within the game itself, it looks really good
oh hey
Actually, Minecraft has a potential for a lot of creepy theories, for example, structures. Most of the structures in the game has no explanation for its origin, like, who built the strongholds? Who built the nether fortress? Who built the end cities? Who built the ocean monuments? Or even better: what happened with the habitants of the ocean ruins? Or the ancient cities? Maybe there was an old civilization that lived in these structures, if so, what happened to then? There's a lot to theorize
That CGI UFO with the blue and red lights was everywhere at the time. I don't know where it originated, or if it was a default model in some software studio, but I remember it being used in so many 'real sightings' videos as well as stuff like this. 😂
Entity 303 and Null. Takes me back to a simpler time. I never really could understand these Herobrine "clones", but they definitely itched the "uncanny" and creepy vibes of old Minecraft.
I've heard of Entity 303 and Null, but the very strange house and SSLithuania's stuff is news to me. In hindsight, the latter seems obviously fake, but like you said, you never really knew what was coming to Minecraft back in the early days.
And in all honesty, the Minebot is a pretty cool idea for a boss or even a craftable companion. The block camouflage means you have to keep on your toes when exploring wherever it might spawn.
I actually got hyped when entity 303 showed up lol, love those old creepypastas.
It seems like the Herobrine stories took aspects of many other creepypasta that came before them to build up the infamous white eyed miner. Interacting with players using chat, signs, and structures of various kinds. It's kind of cool to see that the stories don't actually die-- they just pick up new names to go by to get our attention again.
They will never die. We won't let them. We may not mean to perpetuate the cycle, but we are the key to it.
I honestly preferred minecraft when it was simpler and more mysterious. This is why I find myself coming back to those old versions, than playing up to date. They added so much to the game, yet it feels more emptier than years ago. A lot of mixed content not polished enough to give depth.
I disagree
Once the nostalgia tripnfrom early Minecraft was gone I reliazed how empty the gane was
no, 1.13, 1.14, 1.15 and 1.16 all objectively make the game superior.
The reason why we have what we have now is because players back then didnt like the "emptiness" of past minecraft. Youre just nostalgic
How is removing hundreds of blocks/spawns/mobs/structures and everything else making the game better than a version of the game that has what 4 blocks and 4 ores no structures at all and if your lucky maybe not a completely broken world
Edit - go play 1.1/or 1.2 again if I remmeber right you might even have melons but goodluck because they only spawn in mineshafts and pumpkins pfft stick with your bread pleb
Nostalgia is a pretty strong feeling. But now Minecraft is even better than before, it feels more alive than ever before.
I loved herobrine, entity 303 and null as a kid, i genuinly feared them and remember whatching pranks involving these creatures
The thing about disk 13 being found in a specific eery cave and disc 11 being broken is kinda reminiscent of the deep dark and the disc fragments
Yeah its based off that so...
Herobrine? Entity 303? Null? You, sir, have brought me back to my childhood.
even in versions around 1.0 different worlds would overight into your world importing things like chests and coruped chunks and chest contents
There was a bug in old Alpha where if you kept creating and deleting workds, eventually you would see chunks from other worlds generate in new ones. This happened to me once. Made a new worle, went out exploring about 1000 blocks. I found a clear line where terrain changed, and I saw a corner of a previous base I built in a different world. It was a 6x6 chunk area.
There was a bug ages ago where random chunks in worlds would repeat or generate from other worlds in your saves folder.
i've experience that "strange house that i did not build" phenomena before, i had a really bad pc that kept reformatting the hard drive everytime it shut down. i made a survival world just before it shutdown and, you would never guess, the world deleted itself, so i made a new one. this new one put me in a taiga forest and after a bit of exploring, i found my old base from the original save. what happened in this video was probably just some rare corruption in his hard drive.
I do miss the less popular and more mysterious days of Minecraft. Survival was harder and scarier just because I knew so little about the game, avoiding online spoilers and much of the MC Wiki and preferring to discover stuff on my own, which made the then-small game fun and engaging.
I hope to make Minecraft difficult and scary again (w/o relying on players' ignorance to make it work) with my WIP mod pack. I wish "procedurally generated mysteries" are a thing so I could restore (and keep) the mystery factor, too, lol.
Bro that would be awesome. I have been dying for a good mod pack about the entities, that isn’t them just chasing you 24-7… I’ve been hoping someone smarter than me would come along and even give a more player-like personality to the entities, but still give them the creepy stalker ish vibes. Idk I would love if there was like some sort of series of actions one does that progressively provokes them more and more. Or if one doesn’t do those actions, you get more of a, someone’s in my world but I never see them. Idk just a thought.
@@artscraftsgaming7169 like the endermen. Able to mine and pick blocks, but still just quite off.
Still wish mojang implemented a human mob.
@@projekttaku1 yeah.
Yoo a CZcams video talking about Entity 303 that actually credits Thespeed179 for creating him?! That’s awesome.
For real though I swear you’re in like a 1% of CZcamsrs who’ve talked about the creepypasta and actually covered it properly, welcome to the club lmao.
I remember the chunk error video. What happened back then is was if you deleted the world save from IN GAME menu on rare occasions not all the chunk data would get deleted. But just enough for the game to think the world file no longer existed. And when you started a new world it would mix the new world chunks and the old world chunks that were not deleted properly by the game. I have experienced this bug a few times back then. A friend also got this same bug. Deleting the world folder after completely closing the game would fix it.
Whoaaa I didn’t know anyone else remembered all of these. Great video!
Kids born recently will never know the terror of Herobrine and the other ones I remember genuine nightmares for them
I remember the fear I had for Null, Entity: 303 and Herobrine; I still have it even though the threat is pretty much long sense gone (though Herobrine did make a cameo in the Pandas vs Ocelots video via a sign or graffiti), those three were my boogie-men in my younger years and they all left their mark on me.
I will admit I didn't know that there's an entire wiki too the Minecraft creepypastas, and seeing just how many there are, I'm still shivering from that.
I sometimes just love it when Epic sprinkles a little nostalgia in his videos from time to time.
I remember as a kid playing on my creative world, building rollercoasters etc. and one day during building, I noticed everything started going up on flames, it was most likely because I had placed something flammable near something that causes fire but I deleted that world instantly and definitely quit for a couple of days, just in case.
Wow I actually watched almost all of those videos you included when they first came out like 8 years ago. As a kid I was pretty convinced they were real. Great job on the video man this brought back a bunch of memories.
I remember being absolutely terrified of Entity 303. I was so scared I just deleted my Minecraft PE back then
DUDE. i remember “very strange house that i did NOT build,” that was so fascinating to me as a kid, haha. thanks for helping me find it!
dude you are bringing back minecraft’s original vibe from long ago, i love this!
I'm still getting goosebumps remembering these old mysteries, it's been a while since I've heard them as a guy who played PE back in 2011
Hearing all these rumors is like taking a nice walk down memory lane
As for the very strange house, there is a known glitch where sometimes when joining a multiplayer server and single player world at the same time, the two “levels” merge, doing some weird stuff to the hit boxes, chat, day cycle, etc. it may have been an early version of that glitch?
I remember playing old minecraft when I was younger. The game seemed so vast, yet so empty. I often heard stories about Herobrine and what he could do from my school friends. I can absolutely see how these myths could spread.
I remember watching a video about Herobrine in my first couple months of owning Minecraft. I was so scared of finding him in a singleplayer world that I quit singleplayer altogether and that's how I started playing on multiplayer survival servers.
The editing is terrifying I can’t sleep, good job
It's so nice to watch your videos, I can see that you have spent time to make these videos, I wish I could watch more quality content like this. Keep it up!
About the unbuilt base story... I recall, in my very first long-term world that I played on since beta 1.3, I once was travelling through the world, looking for a cool place to settle down on. I was a little kiddo who was too terrified to play on anything other than Peaceful, that's what I remember - and what I also remember is the chills going down my spine when out of the fog, emerged a half of a base that I once built on another world.
I don't know what happened there, but all I remember is that it was right after an update. I can't tell if there were chests inside and if they had stuff inside, but that story is something I would personally believe in.
Really like your video ideas! They're very original and you actually put effort into researching them instead of other CZcamsrs who just repeat the same stuff over and over again.
Dang... I remember these, specially entity 303 - I remember believing that some magical force could appear on my world. I also remember being scared of these beings lol
I remember as a kid getting my uncle's old Minecraft account, it was also around the time I would watch videos involving 303, Null and of course Herobrine. My very first single player world I spawned in a deep forest, in a clear patch. I made a box house, crafting table, and a sword but didn't find any sheep to make a bed. So I stayed inside and waited for dawn. I remember peaking outside to check for any monsters and saw two white glowing rectangles, which I took for Herobrine's eyes. I left and deleted the world immediately. Now that I look back on it, I think it was probably just the sun shining through my window and making the rectangles, and I just didjt notice if before since my house was lit and the outside was not. Ahhh, those were the days.
I really love seeing herobrine in some of the shots. Makes me feel kinda nostalgic for when everyone was obsessed with him.
Sure, Minecraft's legacy of creepypastas and stuff is legendary and uncanny, but it's also somewhat goofy. The UFO one really made me chuckle.
Love your videos! This is quality content, not just some teenager screaming at a camera expecting people to be amused. No, this is real work.
I know most people have no idea about this, but Minecraft 1.19 just added a new mysterious disc.
Its called "Disc 5", and it have a part where it actually becames a relaxing song as if its a actual disc, before shifting to distorted song, and then a bunch of sound effects just like the others mysterious discs.
i remember watching some „lore videos” on entity 303 and herobrine they were realy fun but now they are lost to history
seeing entity 303 in the thumbnail gave me a type of nostalgia I haven't felt in a LOOOOOONG time
How do you feel about the younger generation who will never experience this? What will we experience in this corporate world? What’s the fucking point of living nowadays? What the fuck am I supposed to do when my life has been taken away from me? How is this fair?
It’s possible deadsk1nmask’s thing really was a chunk error, I remember there being some sort of bug where if you deleted a world and/or made a new world with the same name and stuff as the deleted world or an existing one (or something like that), your new world would generate stuff that was built in the other one. To be honest, this was rare for me and I may have only been able to reproduce the bug once if at all, and I’m not sure if it would generate much to this extent (for some reason I just remember it having to do with Nether portals so idk, maybe it was what I reproduced or how I heard it was someone finding a portal they built in a new world. This was far before ruined portals were added), but I definitely remember hearing of this bug at least, and how I heard of it was unrelated to the video (I didn’t know his video existed until now).
Considering Alpha multiplayer had a bunch of bugs, maybe it really could’ve been a bug with server stuff leaking into his singleplayer world, too, as others suggest in his video’s comments.
As for the mysteries in general, I’ll always love the Herobrine legend, I remember being scared of him and yet I still thought he was cool (and I still do). I haven’t heard of the others aside from Entity 303 (the story of which I only watched a video about recently), but they seem cool too. I also saw SSLithuania’s video years ago; his animations were awesome and are nostalgic, my favorite one is Monster Rave.
I love how these good old days things still hit the same after the years...we gotta love the game for it. Goodjob.
For the "Very Strange House I Did Not Build" It probally is actually very possible! I remember a few months ago i made a Infdev 327 world mined for half an hour made a house then left. Then i made a new world in Infdev 618, played and slowly updated till i reached Alpha 1.0.6. When i was in that version i was searching for the newly added cactus and was traveling a in a large body of water in a boat. Then out of nowhere a part of my old Infdev 327 world Generated! Of course i took the stuff in the chests of my house >:).
Congrats on 450k subs. Great content, keep going :)
I remember I was about 5 and I had started playing minecraft. it was around 2013 and I had just got pocket edition. I was so afraid to play minecraft even in creative mode because I was afraid Herobrine or entity 303 would kill me. It took me about 2 years to even try out survival mode. I don't really hear about entity 303 anymore so I am glad that it's been covered here. Gives me a kind of nostalgia that makes me think "Yea. I was afraid of a guy in a bed sheet ghost costume lol". Oh how I wish to go back in time to experience the scariness of old pocket edition again lol
4:32 i have experienced stuff like this in the past. i have found stuff i build in other worlds in a new world in glitched chunks. dont know if thats related but i still dont know how it happens
God I remember being 10 years old and reading about the creepy stories about Herobrine and Entity 303 and Null. I remember downloading a mod for Minecraft Pocket edition, looking into code I didn't understand, seeing the word "null" for a value in there and freaking out.
Your Storytelling have really improved so much!! I wasnt expecting to watch this video til the End, but now Ive seen it twice
I do miss the years when we were all a lot less sceptical about these kinds of mysteries. I feel like part of the magic of it all is suspending our disbelief a bit and not really stating our doubts...
I miss the word "sighting" whenever Im watching a herobrine video back then. Good times
Thank you for making this video. it brought up really good memories from my childhood.
One thing that did not help is that monsters could interrupt your sleep in the beta versions of the game. It made the game feel even more hostile.
The nostalgia of being in skype calls with your friends before discord was a thing
Congrats on 450k man! Well deserved
it's almost been a decade since this entity 303 thing happened? Feels like it was only five years at max.
About the very strange house
There are a lot of very weird bugs, like in some versions you could tp in multiplayer by going to a location in singleplayer.
I personally think this could just be some chunks copied from somewhere else in his world, or chunks from a downloaded map
If you download a map and overwrite your own one only the chunks that are generated are replaced, so if he was in a different location then where the builds of the downloaded map were this could happen
This is how I am with RLCraft, I play it with my friends and we don’t use the wiki or knowledge sources to progress
I also find it crazy how many momorys and mysteries that old days had created. I miss the time were the communety was`nt as big but you cant change that and that time had gone bye many years ago :(
I loved this rewind
I enjoyed this video, I’ve never heard of these legends (other than the music discs) in my life until I watched this today. I’m actually glad I got to see this too, I’ll be sure to look out for them on my Minecraft game. If they exist that is.
The monster in the Disk 11 is clearly an Enderman, the sound in the end of the disk is the sound of an Enderman, and the Enderman was the 11th mob added to the game.
I once had a single player world where I built a castle, after deleting it me and my cousins made a new world and while Im building my cousin found the castle which has the exact items in it after that the world got corrupted and was gone
It may be the same case as the one in the video
(Was playing on old version of Minecraft pocket edition)
Oh wow. The "very strange house I did not build" video just gave me nostalgia whiplash. I remember thinking it was a Herobrine thing.
I remember in 2014 I would see grass in the shape of a cross in the ground and thought it was a sign of Herobrine. Good times.
Mysterious sightings and convincing creepypastas/args are still possible in today's age, if you incorporate the concept of a mod into the creepypasta itself (Like for example finding a never before discovered mod on a shady website).
Minecraft in alpha was a very mysterious and beautiful game. I hope some game will be able to emulate that feeling someday.
I think that the strange house was a world glitch, I was playing release 1.7.10 when I started a world and built a house in a mountain. I then lost my house while exploring and tried for three hours to find it again before deleting the world and making a new one with the same name.
Lo and behold 100-200 blocks from spawn I saw a familiar mountain, curious I explored it and found my old house, identical down to the chest contents. Just like what happened in the video but in a much newer version.
I remember when I was a kid, hearing a cave sound and thinking it was herobrine, so I exited the world and deleted it... While I do have quite a lot of nostalgia for the older days, I don't miss them.
i feel like the misteries that were made by the community/notch, were one of the reasons why minecraft felt special back then. it used to be a simple game, and gameplay at the time also felt misterious.
I really wanna say that I experienced something similar to "Very Strange House I Did Not Build…"
I and my brother noticed one day that on a new super flat world, some features from a previous world (that was generated with normal settings) got randomly generated into the new world. This was fun as we would build bridges between them, like if they were floating islands. And because we didn't like to stick to one world forever, we would often create new worlds and delete the old ones and this bug happened more than once, sometimes taking blocks we had previously placed too.
My best guess (with almost non existent knowledge of how Minecraft works) is that the chunks or regions that were generated were incorrectly freed from memory when the world was unloaded, and when the new world checked if a file for those existed, it would take those files from memory and place into the new world.
I cannot remember if the broken generation stopped after you went past the distance you generated in the previous world or if it persisted. It is very unlikely that we somehow caused Minecraft to load 2 worlds at the same time, but you have covered something like this happen on your server in your video "Minecraft’s Most DANGEROUS Glitch - Hidden For 8 Years...". It is not the same bug as there were no other anomalies besides the broken generation, but at least we know Minercraft can be broken this hard.
Anyway, I haven't encountered it since at least version 1.6.1. But with a broken/cheap/slow computer it could happen be it in that version or a newer or older version.
Amazing video! Keep up the great work!
I was a bit too young at the time to get into the herobrine hype, but I remember as a kid being terrified of both entity 303 and null, just the thought of them in my world corrupting it, or ruining my Xbox, or whatever else I was scared they could do. Kinda nostalgic, just dumb kid me on the internet scared of Minecraft creepypastas.
These new entities were never known by me until a few years ago.
I've always considered Herobrine to be legit. The other entities are... well, to me, an attempt to make the new Herobrine.
Did it work? Not for me at least.
i actually knew the dude who created entity 303, he advertised a server on the same channel where he published the original documentaries and sightings of entity 303 and i joined and we became sorta friends, we shared skypes and chatted like 3 times in total before he kinda just dropped off the face of the earth to my knowledge.
There’s something so nostalgic about pre 1.0 Minecraft. Just has such a simple charm
It is just so cool how much lore is behind Minecraft
