Hot water turned my hydrangeas brown. No, it wasn’t boiling, just hot. Should have left them in the cold water like I had started with in the first place. I hate being duped. I knew it didn’t feel right.
Hi Anissa, I usually change the water out (but have left them in the same water with no issues). And I don't cut them again once they are revived. I hope that helps! Tori
It doesn’t. I just did this the day before yesterday with room temp water and it worked fine. Took around an hour for them to rehydrate. Just recut the stems at an angle using a sharp knife.

I tried it and it worked, I’m so happy! TYSM ❤
It worked! Fresh and new!
That's awesome glad it worked!
wanted to save your very helpful hack, but don't see the 3 little dots w/the save option. is there another way to save it? thanks very much!
I wish you showed how you cut the stems.. that was a horrible angle of the trimming
Exactly 😂
Thx Tori. Going to do this immediately
Hoy water, that’s very odd. But apparently it works 😮
Yes it does!
Hit water shocks the flower.
Thank you. It worked!
Awesome!
Tannks for sharing
After the hot water process, do you change the water to cool and place the flowers in? And do you cut them again?

You can recut them but I don't find it necessary. I like to change the water after but they will survive if left in that same water.
I don't cut them again but I usually change the water - I've left them in with no issues, but it is discoloured
How long do they survive in a vase, just wondering?
Amazing! I threw mine away without knowing this trick 😓
Ah next time!!
Why does the water have to be hot?

This is sad when it happrns but wow what a sav
Does it only work with hydrangeas?
Hi there it works with some other flowers, but I've found the most success with hydrangeas!
I've tried it with others - it works best with hydrangeas but it helped roses too same with lilacs
