    Hello everyone !! ***Please Note: In (7:20) I forgot to mention that the MAIN default IP ADDRESS IS 192.168.1.1 to access the setup menu if 10.0.0.1 doesn’t work.
    BUT KEEP IN MIND that in an event you connect the new router to an existing NETGEAR router not a modem and you want to have two networks “10.0.0.1” is the second default so it doesn’t conflict with with the existing NETGEAR ROUTER IP.

Also, if the satellite loses connections, should I resync both the router and the satellite or simply turn off and on (as with the example you gave in the video)

    • @USComputerSolutions
      @USComputerSolutions  Před 3 lety +1

      Your welcome glad it worked out for you and the answer to your questions, yes you can disable your wifi from your old one by simply unchecking enable SSID “if you have that settings in your modem” and for the second question, the sattelite or extender should not keep losing connection if it does that means its really far away from the the main wireless router try lifting the main router to a higher position and a bit closer range to the sattelite and see if that stops it from losing connection i am not in your home to see distance and so i am just giving info based on imagining where they probably are hope this helps though.

    • @USComputerSolutions
      @USComputerSolutions  Před 2 lety +1

      @Alexander Parra I recommend buying a standalone modem “surf board by Arris” is highly recommended and the modem only version its just $75 all you need to do is call xfinity or comcast and give them the mac to get it activated, I have links in description for it. Thats what i do for every customer who has problems/frequent line disconnection with any cable modem from any ISP company here in the U.S.
      Now i have actually tried connecting it to the Xfinity /comcast modem and it does work but i have realized that since those comcast modems are not well build, dropping in the internet connectivity does still happen often and the best option i have found since i am also a comcast customer my self is to buy a standalone modem & connect your wifi router of your choice to that standalone modem. You will obtain great quality of internet & very rarely any disconnecting from time to time hope this helps, if it does please consider subscribing.

    • @USComputerSolutions
      @USComputerSolutions  Před 2 lety

      Okay, so i have tried multiple times, till i went literally inside the programing, my reasoning to do so was for a client that wanted to connect his 2.4ghs cameras to the wifi since it couldn’t detect the network and as soon as an update happened it literally over wrote the setting and removed what I reprogrammed, so with that said i dont recommend the mesh for having two networks, yes very annoying i do recommend the Net Gear Ax5200 series i have a video about setting it up and i am using it at my home for over a year amazing device in my opinion

      I have a ONT that receives the ISP from a cable , because it is bell fibre internet. I left the ONT plugged into my bell router/modem. Then plugged in the Ethernet cable net gear gave me from the bell router/modem to the net gear router. I did this last part on one of the LAN ports on my bell router/modem.
      It goes: ISP fibre line into my ONT - ONT into ISP bell router/modem - router: modem Ethernet on LAN port into net gear router
      Is this correct? It seems to be working good, but could I plug the ONT right into the net gear router?

    • @USComputerSolutions
      @USComputerSolutions  Před 3 lety +1

      You can try to plug it directly, unfortunately since i am not there to understand the setup, i can’t say, each company has a type of setup for their fiber some just has (fiber cable to modem then a ethernet cable you can plug directly to any router and some has fiber to an all in one router you can also plug that all in one to your net gear router wifi, as i have done this to a client of mine living over seas. So you can try to connect it and see if it works if it doesn’t keep using what works, also if you do decide to to plug the ONT directly just remember to restart the main router. Keep me updated

      I hope you find my information useful, this system is basically one router and two range extenders that are made to connect to the router that comes with the system, so that router is a router like yours it can only be connected through a wire, and the extenders that come with it well it connects to its own router, your second question, well since its a wifi router it should also work on another extra range extender assuming you will have an extra one or because you already have one. Not necessarily, the ac3200 is really power device and really it gives a good area of wifi signal it is build different than the mesh system, the mesh system is like a normal router that covers its extenders with internet, looks kinda fancy but if the ac3200 is doing the job then be it.

      Well, the mesh 6 is an option i only tested it on under 200 mbps, really cant say i dont have any client who uses more than that, they are happy with it but let me know how it works with you specially with the satellites, keep in mind that the system is dual 2g/5g meaning it will only give you one ssid name some people informed me that their security cams that connect to wifi only work on 2g, but regardless you connect the device and spread those satellites and lets see if it gives you a high speed.
