There's more details below, but I just wanted to quickly say ~thank you~ for watching my video. Please comment below and share your thoughts. Or just take a second and say 'Hey'. I'd love to hear from you. Cheers!

    THE BASICS:
    Year: 2020
    Make: Toyota
    Model: Corolla
Trim: LE (7 models this year, with the LE being the second to lowest trim level)
Color: Black Sand Pearl and All Black Fabric interior
    Type: compact car
    Starting MSRP: at $20,050
    HISTORY/BACKGROUND
    + Introduced in 1966.
+ One fo the best selling cars of all time.
+ This is the twelfth generation of the Corolla.
+ Corola is Latin for small crown.
    UNDER THE HOOD:
    Engine: 1.8 Liter 4-cylinder engine
Transmission: Continuously Variable Transmission "with intelligence and shift mode"
    Horsepower: 139 @ 6,100 rpms
    MPG City: 30
    MPG Highway: 38
    Combined MPG: 34
    Fuel Tank Capacity: 13.2 gallons
    Cost for a full tank: $2.95 gallon x 13.2 gallons = $38.94
    HANDLING:
Fantastic. I do drive a Toyota as my daily driver, so this car felt familiar to me. But still, it feels solid around corners at high speeds and it's super responsive at lower speeds. Parking this thing was a pleasure (especially compared to some of the larger SUVs I've been driving lately.
    ACCELERATION:
Not great. For a stop, it takes the Corolla a long time to build up speed. And you never get the sensation of the car pulling you forward. It's just a slow and steady increase in speed.
But I didn't have any issues passing cars on the interstate at higher speeds and over all the car performed fine. It's not "fun" to drive.
    FINAL THOUGHTS:
Great car for the price. Super reliable. Decent technology. But horrible acceleration.

The 2020s are here! I gotta say, I was super relieved to get this one. The rental car places by me don't have a ton of cars to choose from and I've pretty much rented them all at this point. So I'm happy that there's finally some new vehicles to check out. Let me know if there's a specific car you'd like me to review. I can't promise I'll get it right way. But I will try! Anyway, you're having a great day. Cheers!

Toyota is a little too cheap with the Corolla - it is missing features that it competitors have such as Android Auto, heated steering wheel & wiper de-icer (both offfered in Europe & Canada) and heated seats only on the higher trims. Also, no dual zone air, rear air vent or rear charger ports. Blind spot mirror is optional, a nice feature on the Civic

About heated seats and mirrors, you don't really need those especially in living in warmer states like the southern states as it rarely gets cold.

For the same money you can get a Honda Civic, which is bigger and faster. For $4,000 less after dealer discounts ($16,500) you can get a Hyundai Elantra that gets better gas mileage and is bigger as well, with more power. The Hyundai will not have the smooth ride, however, because of the torsion beam rear axle. I would get the Civic.

This is true. Even though the Corolla depreciates less (percentage-wise) than an Elantra, the price of an Elantra is cheaper. So, we would end up owning the Elantra for much less than a corolla.

Honda dealerships give very little discount. Toyota dealerships give huge discounts. Best to buy Corolla after yuge discount.

Im sure I’ll get some flak for this, but you should be more critical on your reviews. Criticality is something missing from almost all reviews, because so many viewers are looking for validation of their purchase decisions and not a real review. You also have the advantage that you’re renting and not beholden to the manufacturer.
I travelled a ton last year, many rental cars and most were compacts. The Corolla was the most uninspiring, boring, featureless and characterless car I rented. Given that the MSRP is close to actual advertised cost on these, you wind up paying around 3-4k more than competing Kia/Hyundai/VW in this size category. If MPG isn’t your main motivator, even cars like Dodge charger and Chrysler 300, Ford Fusion and so on come into competition.
I mean really, a VW Jetta SE in my area is the same price as base Corolla and is so much more car with a 6yr/72k warranty. Can get a fusion SEL that is way nicer than a base Corolla for only ~1k more in my area. The Corolla just doesn’t compare to its competition.

The fact that Toyota are depowered could be a big reason why they last 400,000 miles just saying. Performance cars were out faster.

I got the same. Yr. 2019 Corolla LE with no Key
FOB remote. Just a laser cut key and manual entry
Did I get ripped or is that just the lower base trim ?
    Anyone ?
Off the line acceration seemed decent to me.
Any more and you break stuff pre maturely.
    Great MPG !
