Nice review, happy Memorial to you and the Family.
The Heavy Hitters face save is in stock now, u might want to review those. Its a copy from the winning face saver.
Thanks for the heads up
did you have any issues with this headgear choking you out with the bottom strap on your throat?
Bro I dont know why but after watching like 30 diff videos of yours I trust your opinion an you look to be about my size, anyway which is the best IYO (under 200 bucks a set) face saver headgear for sparring in boxing style??
I would say the sabas face saver is my favorite
Got this headgear because I need to protect my eye and it’s great I’ve done hard sparring and haven’t got my eye touched at all. It just moves around a ton which is annoying. Is there any other headgear you recommend that won’t move around so much and that will provide the same or better protection for my eyes(it is very important they don’t get hit)
Sabas face saver
Thinken of ordering 2 of these for my Sparring sets, only part I dont like is where you said you have to keep adjusting it.. Any other brand choice around same price that you would recommend?
Sabas fave saver I prefer over this one
Well keep in mind that he is wearing an L/xl but in my opinion he shuld wear a small to medium size.
Would the small fit a child (8-9 years old)- my son has started boxing and I want headgear that offers his face/nose good protection; but wondering if this would be too heavy?
Too big and heavy
I am considering buying the RHGFS3.Though i had recently a broken nose so i want my new headgear to protect it.Does this facesaver protect your nose while sparring?
ironpuncher i would like to know, what you are questioning ,too because i am between this rival and the venum elite iron full face.So i would like to know if you feel the hit in your nose while sparring.
Of all the face saver headgears, other than the FG5000, which one would you recommend? Thanks for all the videos!
I would probably say the sabas face saver (from the ones I’ve used) is my favorite. Lightweight, pretty food visbility, nice suede liner, and quick clip chin strap
@@csquaredboxing Thanks for the info. Have you tried the UMA face saver headgear?
Not yet, hopefully soon
Hi pal! I just want to make u a question! Does a punch gets through to your eyes with this facesaver? I have an eye injury and I want to keep it away from getting contact with the opponents glove!
No it doesn’t, but the bar does sometimes touch the nose depending on the angle and position of the bar
@@csquaredboxing hahaha I don't mind so much for my nose.. It's tested and it's passed! The problems is with the eye until it's fixed properly! Thanks a lot for ur help... Forward to order it! Take care!
Well, from my personal experience, it is indeed possible for you to get hit in the eye. It happened to me. Not easy though... Happened just once, but its possible...
Hows headmovement with this headgear? Never had a facesaver before and am considering this or the uma facesaver
You can move your head/ slip punches, the problem is your peripheral vision is limited, so if you do move your head sometimes you can get caught by a punch you dont see coming.
Have you sparred using the Cleto Reyes facesaver headgear? I’m between this rival headgear vs cleto reyes headgear and looking to know any major differences
I have not, but I’ve worn it to try it on and it was pretty stiff and uncomfortable. My favorite face saver is the sabas FS
I used the Cleto Reyes traditional face saver. It's stiff and it takes a while to break in, but after a couple of sparring sessions it was pretty comfortable. If you have an angular face get the traditional, if you have , more of a rounded or squarish head get the redesigned version. Overall I like the headgear alot.
@@csquaredboxing do you have a list somewhere where you rank things? Winning and Sabas are too pricey for me. What’s your 3rd and 4th favorite?
Will that actually keep a glove from sneaking through?
It will, even a more compact glove won’t make it through
Which one is your favorite face saver that doesn’t move around?
Sabas face saver
csquaredboxing
Thank you for the response man! You rock
are they comfortable compare to winning fg5000? i heard that this are better when it comes to protection
Definitely not, winning fg5000 is a better headgear all around IMO. More comfortable and protection is about the same tbh
@@csquaredboxing hmm. my trainer used winning fg-5000 but broke his nose while sparring
First I've heard of someone breaking their nose using the fg5000, was it the correct size? Sometimes people wear the wrong size and the bar is directly in front of the nose which is incorrect. The face saver bar should sit in front of the mouth or a little above it so it doesnt smash into your nose when you take a punch (would defeat the entire purpose of having a face saver right?)
@@csquaredboxing i wasn't there when he broke his nose but he said he was hit by big counter. i guess he wore the wrong size or didn't wear it properly
Hi csquaredboxing, how about the weight of the headgear? is it heavy?
Yes
@@csquaredboxing can you tell us the weight of the headgear?
Rival or sabas face saver would you prefer
Sabas, more comfortable and better vision.
what is your favorite face saver headgear for boxing
Sabas
What problems does those headgears taht have a transparent plastic have? Are those reliable ? im sure they protect your face better and have better vision that the ones with a bar , why are they not popular at all?
Probably not popular because they are cumbersome, restrict breathing (imagine having a plastic mask on), and give you a false sense of security. You're in a contact sport so you need to know what it feels like to get it to desensitize yourself to it. The only benefit I see from these is if someone has a medical issue, broken nose, etc so they want to do light sparring without risking doing more damage,
hummm I seee thanks!
Will this 100% stop a direct shot from touching the eyes?
Yes
@@csquaredboxing Thanks
bro what is your head girth?)
Too damn big, around 23"
what size to choose if the girth of 56 cm?
You should get a medium if your head circumference is 56 cm to 58 cm.
www.rivalboxing.ca/pages/size-charts
Heres the size chart from Rival
csquaredboxing thank you
How heavy is that l/xl ? Compared to winning
Probably 2-3 ounces heavier
Greit video
Thanks!
Is it worth the price range?
Not really, it’s not very comfortable and there are other face savers around $100 that fit better IMO
csquaredboxing can you do a review on the rhg30 headguard
Will do!
csquaredboxing I want to buy the rhg30 but I don’t know how it looks on face can you do a reviews soon?
This or fighting face saver?
Never tried the fighting one
Do u recommend these?
No
@@csquaredboxing why????
??
How good is this at protecting ur nose ? My nose bleeds every time I get punched lol
it’s ok, i felt it hit against my nose a few times
Just made a big Rival unboxing video, headgear, groin protector, wraps, reflex ball. Check it out (:
