    did you have any issues with this headgear choking you out with the bottom strap on your throat?

    Bro I dont know why but after watching like 30 diff videos of yours I trust your opinion an you look to be about my size, anyway which is the best IYO (under 200 bucks a set) face saver headgear for sparring in boxing style??

  • @WarriorOfTheNarrowPath

    Got this headgear because I need to protect my eye and it’s great I’ve done hard sparring and haven’t got my eye touched at all. It just moves around a ton which is annoying. Is there any other headgear you recommend that won’t move around so much and that will provide the same or better protection for my eyes(it is very important they don’t get hit)

    Thinken of ordering 2 of these for my Sparring sets, only part I dont like is where you said you have to keep adjusting it.. Any other brand choice around same price that you would recommend?

    Would the small fit a child (8-9 years old)- my son has started boxing and I want headgear that offers his face/nose good protection; but wondering if this would be too heavy?

    I am considering buying the RHGFS3.Though i had recently a broken nose so i want my new headgear to protect it.Does this facesaver protect your nose while sparring?

    • @csquaredboxing
      @csquaredboxing  Před 4 lety

      I would probably say the sabas face saver (from the ones I’ve used) is my favorite. Lightweight, pretty food visbility, nice suede liner, and quick clip chin strap

    Hi pal! I just want to make u a question! Does a punch gets through to your eyes with this facesaver? I have an eye injury and I want to keep it away from getting contact with the opponents glove!

    • @csquaredboxing
      @csquaredboxing  Před 4 lety +1

      No it doesn’t, but the bar does sometimes touch the nose depending on the angle and position of the bar

      @@csquaredboxing hahaha I don't mind so much for my nose.. It's tested and it's passed! The problems is with the eye until it's fixed properly! Thanks a lot for ur help... Forward to order it! Take care!

      @MrGrumpyWan Před 4 lety

      Well, from my personal experience, it is indeed possible for you to get hit in the eye. It happened to me. Not easy though... Happened just once, but its possible...

  • @LordLobov
    @LordLobov Před 6 lety +1

    Hows headmovement with this headgear? Never had a facesaver before and am considering this or the uma facesaver

    • @csquaredboxing
      @csquaredboxing  Před 6 lety +1

      You can move your head/ slip punches, the problem is your peripheral vision is limited, so if you do move your head sometimes you can get caught by a punch you dont see coming.

    Have you sparred using the Cleto Reyes facesaver headgear? I’m between this rival headgear vs cleto reyes headgear and looking to know any major differences

    • @csquaredboxing
      @csquaredboxing  Před 4 lety

      I have not, but I’ve worn it to try it on and it was pretty stiff and uncomfortable. My favorite face saver is the sabas FS

    • @carbonfiberfan
      @carbonfiberfan Před 4 lety

      I used the Cleto Reyes traditional face saver. It's stiff and it takes a while to break in, but after a couple of sparring sessions it was pretty comfortable. If you have an angular face get the traditional, if you have , more of a rounded or squarish head get the redesigned version. Overall I like the headgear alot.

    • @csquaredboxing
      @csquaredboxing  Před 5 lety +1

      Definitely not, winning fg5000 is a better headgear all around IMO. More comfortable and protection is about the same tbh

      @brianbj91 Před 5 lety +2

      @@csquaredboxing hmm. my trainer used winning fg-5000 but broke his nose while sparring

    • @csquaredboxing
      @csquaredboxing  Před 5 lety +1

      First I've heard of someone breaking their nose using the fg5000, was it the correct size? Sometimes people wear the wrong size and the bar is directly in front of the nose which is incorrect. The face saver bar should sit in front of the mouth or a little above it so it doesnt smash into your nose when you take a punch (would defeat the entire purpose of having a face saver right?)

    • @brianbj91
      @brianbj91 Před 5 lety

      @@csquaredboxing i wasn't there when he broke his nose but he said he was hit by big counter. i guess he wore the wrong size or didn't wear it properly

    what is your favorite face saver headgear for boxing

  • @GuerradeBoxeo
    @GuerradeBoxeo Před 6 lety +1

    What problems does those headgears taht have a transparent plastic have? Are those reliable ? im sure they protect your face better and have better vision that the ones with a bar , why are they not popular at all?

    • @csquaredboxing
      @csquaredboxing  Před 6 lety +1

      Probably not popular because they are cumbersome, restrict breathing (imagine having a plastic mask on), and give you a false sense of security. You're in a contact sport so you need to know what it feels like to get it to desensitize yourself to it. The only benefit I see from these is if someone has a medical issue, broken nose, etc so they want to do light sparring without risking doing more damage,
