A very long unskippable ad for an ebay optic fibre kit was played for me here in Australia. I ended up watching the whole ad because it was interesting.
wtf are you on about? I've been using adblock for many years now. And I have absolutely no ads on youtube. I often leave youtube playing music on the background for hours and no ads for me atleast.
A tip: For a wider viewing angle. Instead of using those caps that you were talking about, you can melt all of the the ends with a lighter and they form little beads at the tips. Discovered this by accident.
I got a skippable LG ad. On the right there's another one though, it says that some guy invented a medicine to let your cucumber grow 6cm in 4 days, and that doctors hate him. Poor guy.
I am continually impressed by your range of knowledge, Clive. There are tons of 3D modelers/animators who don't understand the importance of differing indices of refraction when doing photorealistic compositions.
Just a skippable 30-second advert. Actually pretty tame in terms of advertising. Most videos I watch on other channels are absolutely stuffed with ads.
I love to say that i have been a fan for awhile and thought I'm not the smartest nor do i know much of what the specific components do, i myself always found myself to tinker and disassemble things just for the fact that I'm bored and want to see how something works and I just love moments like "Is this glued in? Oh... well it was, just need to fix that in a second." Idk its just the small jokes you make and the random things that happen keep bringing me back, plus as i said I love to take things apart.
Didn't know this was available. You can carefully drill out that gland-nut connector and put at least twice as many fibers into it; although I'd think that more lamps would give you more choices of colors and colors can be mixed by combining fibers into different openings. Thanks, Clive for such a great idea!
51 steps per color are completely logical. THe controller uses a three byte RGB color value (#000000 to #FFFFFF) each byte (#00 to #FF) contains the value for each of the colored LED. so you get brightness values for each color from 00 to #FF what actually are 255 (decimal). for ease of youse the controller increments and decrements these values by 5 for each button press, so you get 51 steps for each color (51 by 5 equals 255 equals #FF).
I actually bought the same kit recently (in 300 point and with a motor that provides "twinkle"). I used it to enhance a high-quality space-themed canvas print. Worked quite well, and the remote control enables a decent enough amount of customisation
I have an AdBlocker but I chose to get CZcams ads. I live in Germany and I'm always getting an extremely annoying Amazon ad ("Ihre Freundin hat Geburtstag...."), that I can skip after 5 seconds.
I almost always get ads about Toast IT, which are extra annoying because it seems like they invented something that all Dutch people know and love as a "tosti" (I'm Dutch, but living in Germany).
I got a pre-roll skippable advert of some movie trailer. I don't really know what it was, as I always skip as soon as I'm able. Oh, and no, I don't use adblock. People who do ruin CZcams for everyone.
If it were possible to whitelist certain CZcamsrs, I definitely would. I use uBlock Origin because sites and their advertisements are becoming pure cancer. Full-screen "OMG REGISTER NAO" every five seconds. Fuck that.
idk what sites you are going to ... I don't run across popups or crazy advertisements or anything. Then again, I shop for components, and do social media online. I don't go in for that dangerous stuff...
Oh, those are called Shadow Boxes (at least, in graphics design lingo) Yea, they are a bit annoying. I usually make it a rule to immediately leave a site and never go back when I see one. They are really horrible.
CZcams should have never added revenue, most people are only doing it for the money so they can get fat and not work hard for the money. (Oh and BTW I'm a uBlock Origin user (so I use adblock :) ))
I bought an expensive LED controller. Expensive for my budget. Around 20 dollars but it is a big money in my country. I accidentally unpaired my controller. Then I was browsing your videos came along this wondered what it is. Started watching saw the same remote and I knew that you were showing how to pair stuff. It worked. Big thanks to you man! I love your videos!
My tablet just decided to take me on a little involuntary tour of the links on your page, deleting my totally completed comment that I was proofing at the time. The up side of that is that I have now started this video 3 times. Each with another ad, of course. The first time was just the ad you can skip, which I did as usual at 4.9 seconds. The second and third were the same with the addition of a pop-up on the third. The second may or may not have had a pop-up, I wasn't on the page long enough before my tablet's delayed response fit bounced me back off.Thank you for all your awesome videos. You have been a major motivator for me to get back into electronics. It's a great time to have such a hobby, when I was younger there was not such a wealth of free information available as there is today. Plus everyone is throwing out tons of great salvageable electronics nowadays. Half the time I plug the stuff in and it still works just fine. Then I usually take it to bits anyway. Thank you for that.
I'm from France and I got no advertising at all on either of my two Android devices (phone and TV box). Thank you for another very interesting video, your explanations and eagerness to show us the internal bits of things are very well appreciated.
The reason to cut the fibre (fibre cleaving) is to make sure the fibre end is a clean, flat surface so to allow the most light to go through. Being a fibre light show and not 5Km of data transmission, its not too important.
I went to Epcot many years ago, and I have to say that fibre optic panel is one of my memories from there. I didn't notice the damage though. I have often thought of making a small version but how would you go about doing that, heavy concrete and flimsy fibres cant be easy to work with.
bigclivedotcom It is probably a country by coutry basis, I use ublock on most places, but on youtube it is disabled. And i get 15 min ads that can be skipped only after 2-3 mins. Our advertisers are kinda insane.
Someone probably said this already, ADs on CZcams are usually by a "auction" some people see ADs and some people don't. However, their are times where everyone sees ADs all the time. I didn't see a AD when I started watching your video. Keep up the good work!
its a shame you asked about the ads, it totally dominated the comments section. Unfortunate as i was looking forward to seeing subscribers views or experiences with Fibre Optic light units.
This reminds me of the 70's and my rotating and color changing fiber optic lamp and 4 foot/1.2 meter fiber optic tree... along with the velvet blacklight posters lol. I'd really love to find another good quality lamp like I had, it was about 20" in diameter, little bigger than a basketball. Best nightlight ever :)
Those old high quality fiber optic balls lost their novelty and no one wanted to pay $300 for them any more. Also they didn't last forever, the fibers continually tangle and clump together from the rotation, the light burns out, the motor strips, and the color gels fade from the heat. I scored one long after they disappeared by asking a guy at a flea market "do you have any of those old high quality style that used to cost $300?" Yes, I sure do. How much for it? $300. Only one I ever had but it didn't last long. They sure were pretty.
Wow you could design a lighting system with a programmable touch screen using a recycled cell phone using this product to give any room your preferred lightning. That's very cool!
when fibre optic literally looks like the things on pre furnished Christmas trees that lighs up as the tree spins on a colored plate that has line shining through it
Intro ad. Video was interesting because I love all forms of lighting and I just completed a telecommunications course wherein we actually cleaved and terminated a 250/125 micron glass fiber and passed data through it, connecting to the internet. Light is fascinating. I can think of a lot of ways to utilize this type of fiberoptic lighting in decoration.
+Thomas Galea What about proxies, caches, NAT, etc. One IP per unique visitor is not a given. Checking IPs to identfy users is 1990's. I'm sure they use cookies.
I don't know why, I just continue to use the NFC payment features that have been a part of my phone for ages. What's that? Oh yeah, that's basically android pay. Why are they only advertising it now?
Tim Morgan they have been doing ads over here too but it honestly doesn't change anything for us. Both visa and MasterCard provide apps that can use the NFC and have done so for a few years now. That was about the time they both pushed to get paypass and paywave to become standard so now most places have NFC eftpos machines. Did the UK have a similar thing to us? I am in Australia by the way.
We've had Apple pay and contactless debit/credit cards in the UK for over a year now. I've literally only ever seen the Android Pay logo on a shop once lol, though I'd imagine android pay would work where ever apple pay and contactless works as its just NFC? I have a contactless card but my bank hasn't setup with android pay yet. Though depending how easy it is to use I'd probably just stick to card. Pull my wallet out and tap it on the machine without even opening it... be useless if I have to actually unlock my phone or open an app etc.
What'd be nice, would be to have several of the RGBW LEDs, each feeding a different part of the bundle of fibres. So you could have multiple colours on your ceiling (etc) at once. You could do it with these just by ordering several kits and mixing the fibres up on the ceiling, or you could split the bundle into a few smaller ones, and have a unit with several LEDs to drive it. Does it do fading between colours or just flat switching? You could maybe replace the 8051 with an AVR or PIC, and program in some better effects. It could use the existing hardware. Unless the 8051 is a weird one with high-current driving for the LEDs, but it's not, right? Maybe a computer interface would be good, use one of the generic radio modules and connect it to a PC to send the light control signals. This is something I might do to my house if I were decorating. Bet it can be pleasant in the right place. Even, maybe, just a plank of wood on a stand, with fibres fitted into holes, would make a nice lamp.
I have adblock plus and I never see any advertisements on videos or even those on the side of the video right above the column that has the video proposals.
Those no longer work, since CZcams has moved to video ads. Plus, if you have one, all ads are now unskippable. Also, Chris is right. Using adblockers prevents youtubers from getting the ad money, which they desperately need to support their content making.
You can also heat up the end of the plastic ones so they melt into a bead, that also increases the viewing angle. One of the disney imagineers showed me that.
As a small content creator, I can tell you this, CZcams RED DOES SUPPORT whoever you watch I get about 1/10th of my revenue from RED so yeah no complaints from me, better than using Adblock and forcing people to quit because they have to dedicate all their time to a full-time job.
Hi Clive, I'm getting the advert that you can skip after 5 seconds. I use my Android to watch CZcams. whilst I'm here, massive fan of your channel, learn a lot, laugh a lot and my mum who loves the Edinburgh Tattoo also loves the Tattoo vlogs. many thanks for the great work.
Thanks for the review, I'll be very careful in selecting a product for my light project. The conversation was great, information with a touch of reality and humor. Thanks!
The mention in the manual about the "LED engine" could be a reference or a quirky translation of the older design of these fiber optic units where they usually had a halogen lamp and a colour wheel spun by an electric motor.
Poss, but I admit I'm a bit biassed as I was keen to send a Chinese I pad as I wanted to know what he thought about it.(not expecting it back, you understand) Anyway, got no reply. Petty. Probably, but annoying. As a fellow Glaswegian I felt he was letting the side down.Good videos tho. That's true. C'est la vie.
hi Clive just a little note to help with the number of strands and the reason for the larger fibre holder ( cable gland ). When you use the set you will need to cut the fibres closest to the light box. When this is done you will have leftover fibres that can be used for the next circle etc that will fan out from the light box. I hope you know what I mean?.. So when it's all finished you should have more than doubles the amount of strands used. When bound with tape and put back into the gland It will be about 400 strands used. Cheers
1:40 Skippable ad here. US. Whenever I view my videos on my channel, I always get an add regardless, unless I look at them through the edit mode in video manager. That would be cool to put on a set of stairs, either going on top of the steps, or out the front face of the steps. So many possible applications!
the amount of various parts amazes me, for instance, where did they get that metal enclosure from? is it just for this project or is it mass manufactured? and where does the metal come from? who digs up the ore for that metal and how is it produced? there sjust so many components and so many people and lines down the chain of production and yet its still so cheap since we've gotten so good at doing these things.
I found this to be very interesting and very informative. I was hoping that you would have shown it in a ceiling as an example. Also, can this unit be set to "twinkle" so to speak, or can it be set to fade in and out into the different colors, rather than just abruptly changing from one color to the next. I really do appreciate you response if you're able. Thanks.
I appreciate your very quick response, but is the unit you're referring too as affordable, or close to the price of the unit in this video? I'm aware of units that have the rotating wheel, but the ones I know about are very expensive. They come from weidamark.com.
Pre-Roll skippable " B and Q " advert when viewed with Chrome browser. : Pop Up box advert with 'close box' when viewed on Firefox. (No idea what the crappy badly animated pop up ad was for, closed it quick to get it out the way) : Keep up the good work Clive. Your info and opinions are very much appreciated.
i dont know how long the ad was but it was skipable on android, it doesnt matter if u disable ads, CZcams will advertise theit own things if u dont and just keep the money for themselves, little to they know they're nothing without the people
I'm getting a landscape ad on the video (has an x to close) and a square ad on the right hand side underneath the video (has x to close.) There are ways you can test for ads yourself as well.
Hi Clive, is it true that the internal reflection is achieved with a coating? A plain perspex rod will behave in the same 'light guide' way with no such coating. The light leaks out wherever the surface isn't polished doesn't it? Brilliant videos, as always - thank you for hours of educational entertainment. Will.
I reloaded this video three times. One ad for insurance, one for growing giant vegetables and one for underground heating/cooling. I am now turning my AD blocker back on. All were full duration.
First time i watched there was an add that I️ could skip. Clicked out and back in and it shows a sponsored post with fiber optics for sale and no commercial.
I watched this, and got no ads at all. none. Wrote out a message to let you know, but wanted to wait until the end to see if there was one at the end, but there wasn't. However, I closed the tab. So I came back. Now I have the ad before the video and the ad to the side. No banner though.
Don't think I've seen "Pre-roll" Ads on CZcams since very early on. I get the ones interspersed in the middle of videos, though I don't think yours are often long enough, and it's a bit random. As in, if I watch the same longish video 15 times, I'll get an ad in it maybe 3 of those times I play back. In this video, on first play-back, I'm only seeing the caption ad with the close button on it, which I only ever click if the advert is incredibly offensive, which can happen. It changed to a different ad twice, that I noticed, during playback.
No pre-roll, only a "Home Loan rates from 3.41% by Mozo" banner centered across the lower part of the screen, along with a "Gmail for Work" sidebar ad. Can't recall what I normally get. I run adblock but have your channel whitelisted.
I pay for CZcams red as it's honestly the only platform I watch videos on. I don't care about any tv shows (Besides the grand tour on amazon) and seldom have time to watch movies. So paying for CZcams is worth it to me. Thanks for your many great videos Clive!
I have watched this video twice now. Once yesterday, and today. In both cases have had the pre-roll skippable add at the beggining. No popup adds during the video. Watching in the UK. Hope that helps :) PS love the videos Clive :)
I can thing of another use where you use the bit with the stub into a large tos-link connector and run the other fibres to the other rooms then on to the tos-link DAC which will feed the back of the music system in that room you know what I mean piping music from the main room to any room in your house and no other ugly cables to be seen.
I didn't get a pre-role, but I'd come straight from Julian's channel where I'd just had a pre-role. Then I got a pop-up ad. In passing, as a rough guide, you should never bend a fibre (glass at least) tighter than 12 times its own diameter measurement. That is an individual or as a cable.
Nice video. I am thinking of making something with fibers like that. See... since a bit over year my wife and I have this new hobby: *Geocaching.* I try to make a flat plane where I put the fibers in several patterns. Instead of using a LED light source this kit came with, I want to have to _"visitors"_ bring a bright flashlight. And instead of having the fibers meet at one single point, I want to create a small ridge, a channel where a the flashlight can slide over. By sliding it from left to right, some fibers are going to be lit. This way a simple animation happens at the visitor's side of the construction. At the end the visitor will see a number or a GPS coordinate _they_ have to go next. It seems like a cool little crea-cache, as the geocache community calls it. The trick for me is to make the patterns on a board, and have the fibers stick to it. I will cover the plane with "mirror foil", since that fits a certain theme I have in mind. Do you think it makes sense to spray paint chrome colored paint on the fibers? I just want to make sure to not loose too much light, since I don't know what kind of light the _visitor_ might bring. And I noticed that the fibers spilled a lot of light. I want to try to keep as much light inside the fiber until it is shown to the _visitor_
You could drill a panel with a grid of 5 x 7 dot matrix style holes with the fibre bundle making up the words and numbers, and the unused positions with a stud of identical but unconnected fibre protruding. I wouldn't recommend spraying the fibres with paint. They have a thin coating of material to make them work that could be damaged by solvent.
A very long unskippable ad for an ebay optic fibre kit was played for me here in Australia. I ended up watching the whole ad because it was interesting.
Tommy Oz If you have any adblockers at all, ads are unskippable for you. It's a little troll Google set up.
wtf are you on about? I've been using adblock for many years now. And I have absolutely no ads on youtube. I often leave youtube playing music on the background for hours and no ads for me atleast.
PunakiviAddikti That is not the case.

2. Adblocker works fine.

A tip: For a wider viewing angle. Instead of using those caps that you were talking about, you can melt all of the the ends with a lighter and they form little beads at the tips. Discovered this by accident.

51 steps per color are completely logical. THe controller uses a three byte RGB color value (#000000 to #FFFFFF) each byte (#00 to #FF) contains the value for each of the colored LED. so you get brightness values for each color from
00 to #FF what actually are 255 (decimal). for ease of youse the controller increments and decrements these values by 5 for each button press, so you get 51 steps for each color (51 by 5 equals 255 equals #FF).

ad block all the way
youtube red is shit cause it bends the whole point of youtube. youtube but more netflix
If you slice the ends at an angle you can make a 'larger' point of light...
Yes, good tip to share.

I would never have seen one of these without your channel. Thank you.
do you still get expected ad money from red viewers? I happen to be one.
CZcams shows a small income from shared red revenue. I'm not sure how it relates to actual views though.
I'm a YT RED user and I don't see any ads on your videos ever. I'm working my way through your catalog of videos one by one. ;)
No Ad's, Been using AdBlock since 2012.
It's unthinkable that not only are you denying this channel earned view revenue but you have no shame in announcing it.
No ads, no ads revenue, no content, nothing to watch. :)
No ads, but I'm on mobile.
same here.
yup, no ads on mobile.

yep, zero ads on mobile.
no ads on mobile here either Clive.

Pre-Roll advert for film "Inferno".
If you load up a private window in your browser, then paste video link you should get served ads for your video.
I assume they check IP too. That'd be too easy.
Why check by IP? Too much effort for something so tiny.

Of course, I know about those.
Cookies are pretty much 100x easier to work around than IPs, though.
pop up ad for me, click the x straight away and byebye.
thanks for the videos, feels like i'm learning good stuff!
I got the pop up ad at the bottom of the video as well as the side one, no pre-roll.
Great video as usual, Clive.
I'm using CZcams Red. You get paid without me having to watch ads. :-) Also I have adblock installed. haha
I didn't get any ad. I don't even have adblock on or youtube.
clive you are the very epitome of an proffesionor.
I got a thirty second non skippable ad for a company based in America when I love in the UK. there's a Cadbury as at the bottom as well.
I have premium so.i get no adverts, thanks for this breakdown building a party bus found it really helpful
I will never go back to non premium. I let it laps once, and tried watching with adds after having premium, I couldn't do it.
50 sec Android Pay, skipable ad, on android CZcams app in UK. The same ad I get on pretty much every other monetised video.
They must really want you to start using android pay.
I don't know why, I just continue to use the NFC payment features that have been a part of my phone for ages.
What's that? Oh yeah, that's basically android pay. Why are they only advertising it now?
Matt Merr Android pay is the NFC payment system from Google and it has only been available in the UK for a couple of month's or so.
Got no ad on this video. And no I'm not using an ad blocker.
Clive, non as I run adblock plus. It's great, no ads and some extra protection. Cheers
so you're sabotaging this channel. sad indeed.
Ad block plus is just a clone of the original AdBlock, stop using abp!
I use adblock, adblock plus, and ublock all at once.
pi hole is the best, actually.
after that ublock origin.
Creators don't get money if you block ads. AKA please whitelist website you know/clive's youtube
I have adblock plus and I never see any advertisements on videos or even those on the side of the video right above the column that has the video proposals.
Super Wig Maker amazing how it works really
Those no longer work, since CZcams has moved to video ads. Plus, if you have one, all ads are now unskippable. Also, Chris is right. Using adblockers prevents youtubers from getting the ad money, which they desperately need to support their content making.
ublock origin would disagree with youthere
um u dumb? adblock blocks video ads lol
how am I a fucking idiot? Please explain.
You can also heat up the end of the plastic ones so they melt into a bead, that also increases the viewing angle. One of the disney imagineers showed me that.
The ad you can skip after 5 sec, thanks for the vids, very informative.
*I use CZcamsRed so its a win for me, win for you situation.*
Not really anymore. The money just goes to the really big youtubers or just youtube.
As a small content creator, I can tell you this, CZcams RED DOES SUPPORT whoever you watch I get about 1/10th of my revenue from RED so yeah no complaints from me, better than using Adblock and forcing people to quit because they have to dedicate all their time to a full-time job.
The fucking 5 second ad
Hi Clive, I'm getting the advert that you can skip after 5 seconds. I use my Android to watch CZcams.
whilst I'm here, massive fan of your channel, learn a lot, laugh a lot and my mum who loves the Edinburgh Tattoo also loves the Tattoo vlogs.
many thanks for the great work.
Thanks for the review, I'll be very careful in selecting a product for my light project. The conversation was great, information with a touch of reality and humor. Thanks!
None, I got no advertising whatsoever. On a mobile phone, no adblock
red subscriber so no ads
The mention in the manual about the "LED engine" could be a reference or a quirky translation of the older design of these fiber optic units where they usually had a halogen lamp and a colour wheel spun by an electric motor.
I get no ads... *sits back and sips pina colada with umbrella in*
mmm.. .the sweet feeling of adblock....
Cough* cough* no ad revenue
I don't see adds -I use an adblocker.
Colly Wolly wouldn't advertise that to a CZcamsr, its how they make money and it's probably just insulting saying that
Boo hoo to them. What, I should have to suffer wasted time so they can make more money.
I don't think so.
Ad blocker user, and a proud one.
Cough* cough* no ad revenue
I do believe there may be a reptile inside my boot
Those happen on pornhub, not youtube.
YT ads are based on your history, dude
HMMMMMM
I got the little banner ad at the bottom when the video started, then when I broke out of full screen to comment it tossed me an actual skippable ad.
Dutch guy in Germany. Using work PC I sometimes get the skippable pre-roll ad, otherwise a banner ad. On my mobile phone I got no ads.
pop ad only, at very beginning of vid, no skippable video ads. Keep up great work!
Hey Clive, I got the pre-roll ad - was only a 4 second ad so it wasn't skippable
the amount of various parts amazes me, for instance, where did they get that metal enclosure from? is it just for this project or is it mass manufactured? and where does the metal come from? who digs up the ore for that metal and how is it produced? there sjust so many components and so many people and lines down the chain of production and yet its still so cheap since we've gotten so good at doing these things.
Thanks.
You can get a twinkle version that I think has a rotating disk in it for a good random pattern.
I appreciate your very quick response, but is the unit you're referring too as affordable, or close to the price of the unit in this video? I'm aware of units that have the rotating wheel, but the ones I know about are very expensive. They come from weidamark.com.
All the ones I've seen with the disk are a lot more expensive.
Your info and opinions are very much appreciated.
i dont know how long the ad was but it was skipable on android, it doesnt matter if u disable ads, CZcams will advertise theit own things if u dont and just keep the money for themselves, little to they know they're nothing without the people
Watching via iPhone app, and getting a preroll ad. In common with all your vids it's either sub 5s or skippable at 5s
It was an ad before the video that was too short to be able to skip. It was for Bounty paper towels.
It's called water caustic effects I believe when they occur naturally or other and you get the bounce light off the underside of bridges and such.
The advert I'm getting here is the one that pops up at the bottom and can be closed. No preroll.
I had an IBM pre-roll ad that was eventually skippable. I'm using the console youtube app so there are never popup ads.
First time i watched there was an add that I️ could skip. Clicked out and back in and it shows a sponsored post with fiber optics for sale and no commercial.
the bottom type that I like to close. another great video by the way. still remember finding you for the joule thief.
It changed to a different ad twice, that I noticed, during playback.
came here after watching the fiber optic roof light of the Rolls Royce. DAMN! loved it!
No pre-roll, only a "Home Loan rates from 3.41% by Mozo" banner centered across the lower part of the screen, along with a "Gmail for Work" sidebar ad. Can't recall what I normally get. I run adblock but have your channel whitelisted.
Oddly enough, your video didn't have a single advertisement. Thanks for the review. I like to know what I'm buying
I pay for CZcams red as it's honestly the only platform I watch videos on. I don't care about any tv shows (Besides the grand tour on amazon) and seldom have time to watch movies. So paying for CZcams is worth it to me.
Thanks for your many great videos Clive!
The warm yellow and dim cyan are my two favourite of those DIY colours.
Great review but would like to have seen the various light functions ... eg does it twinkle alternately etc
I have watched this video twice now. Once yesterday, and today. In both cases have had the pre-roll skippable add at the beggining. No popup adds during the video. Watching in the UK.
Hope that helps :)
PS love the videos Clive :)
I'm glad you've finally got yourself normal screw driver Clive
My ad in California was a 30 second fast food commercial with a 4 second delay to skip.
I got a full screen ad with skip after 5-seconds. But it was an entertaining ad and I watched the whole thing (only about 30-seconds).
Banner advert on the bottom.
Thanks for making videos, I love what you do!
No ad. I usually don't get any ads on your videos. Watching on iPad in Finland.
See... since a bit over year my wife and I have this new hobby: *Geocaching.*
I try to make a flat plane where I put the fibers in several patterns.
No ads as CZcams premium is a handy thing to have
