What I love about Van Der Graaf (aside from the brilliance of the music of course) is the lyrics. They really bite deep, in areas which frankly no other popular music (taken in a wide sense) do. If ever you've been down, frustrated, angry whatever, Hammill captures that uncannily.

Good man. You're a special kind of person if you genuinely enjoy vdgg. I've been trying to show people this band for years and they all never like it or get it. They are probably my favorite band of all time, but they are an acquired taste
