Great review. I was in High school when the Eau Sauvage EDT 1st came out. I just picked a bottle up now, will save it for next summer. I am using the Sauvage Elixir for the winter. Cheers

Thanks for your very informative video. I purchased decants of both the EDP and EDT, and they both smell great in their own way ... particularly the EDP. Now, a question for you... Are you familiar with the Eau Sauvage aftershave lotion? I have a small older bottle of the aftershave lotion. Comparing the scent of the EDT decant I just bought to the older aftershave lotion, I feel that the EDT has a much stronger mossy note, and much less lemongrass or citrus note. I really like that bright lemony scent, and I feel the EDT was missing that somewhat. Do you think that is a difference in formulation over the years, or just a difference between the EDT and the aftershave?
Hi Steve. I have not tried the after shaved version yet. Also I do not know what version of the after shave cologne you purchased but I wouldn't be surprised if they reformulated it. Having said that, the EDT version of the cologne is very bright and lemony and very refreshing. Perhaps its hard to pick that up from a decant. If you have the opportunity to buy a bottle of the edp, do it you won't regretted. Its so classy and smells a lot better than the edp.
@@sergiosfragrancereviews8146 Thank you! I also wonder if the EDT decant was off somehow. It's still nice, it's just not as fresh and balanced as I was expecting. I guess I will have to go to a fragrance counter and give it another try. Hopefully I can compare to the aftershave at the same time. On the other hand, the decant of the EDP is outstanding! I have gotten nothing but compliments across the board (and from my family, that's saying something)! I want a bottle for sure - why doesn't Dior market it here in the USA? So strange.
