That is actually the KJ. The KF is a different model, repaced by the XE. The KF got a similar facia in the facelift update. But the original was the XJ.
Say what you will about Jaguar Land Rover, they did keep their promise, the new car did look like the concept, the new F-type looked like the concept, and the Range Rover Evoke looked exactly like the concept as well. There are flaws, but they at least make concept that resemble the cars they intend to make.
I passed on a 2015 XJ because every single one had some issue with the superchargers overheating. These cars are beautiful , but when the bank refuses to completely finance the thing, that’s a red flag

This was for the XJ and XF V8 Supercharged, not sure about the newer V6 models. One car had a bunch of things replaced, even the engine mounts. I was like there’s no way anyone would want to own one of these even with a warranty. I ended up with a used Audi S8 4.0T. Turbos seem to last longer judging by the number of high mileage models for that car I saw. Resell is really solid too. There’s a reason you can pick up a beautiful Jag for under 20k. They’re worrisome. I was gonna get the naturally aspirated 2011 model with 40k miles on it but the bank laughed at me when I told them they wanted 19k for it. Said it was worth maybe 10k. I told the dealer I’d give him 10k cash and he laughed at me.

The concept in the video ended up becoming the 2012 Jaguar XF. They are quite nice, essentially having the same interior as a range rover and the same engine as the Aston Martin V8 Vantage. They are around $10k these days for a decent one

They actually didn't, they came out with a really shite looking headlight version first, this was the final iteration that's on sale now but because they decided to string out the design thinking they can keep face-lifting and sell more they lost momentum because the launch car looked like a grandad wagon.
No it didn’t. Yes the headlights grew those weird bulges but the silhouette of the car, the rear details and overall shape remained. Critics compared it to Aston Martin’s, and if you look even today, the XF has aged better than any of its rivals.

My father owned a 1981 XJ6, 4.2 Liter. Pinstripes and Dayton wire wheels w/ 2 sided spindles. He removed the 3 speed transmission and put in a GMC truck transmission, because that transmission could handle the weight of the car. He also put an air compresor in the truck to assist with braking. Yes, it had it's problems (electric window switches and oil leaks.) But, the car was worth driving and it was beautiful. When Ford bought Jag it did away with the weight, the real wood and the dual gas tanks. However, they improved a good number of things on the car, such as the electronics and breaking system. Now that Tata owns Jaguar and Range Rover I will never buy either of them. Too many problems.
