    I just turned 70 and was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in my 40's.... fortunately i was diagnosed by a Dr who suffered from Fibromyalgia too and ended up having to quit her practice because of it 😔.
    Thank you so much for your videos, I really enjoy them, makes me feel not so much alone in this illness ❤
    Social Anxiety is one of my worse symptoms . I spend most days alone, because I do best with quiet peaceful days.
    Any type of socializing takes alot of energy ..even with my family.
    Sleep does not come easy..pain through the night keeps me awake ...most my pain is in my neck which i injured years ago in a motorcycle accident on the freeway. So neck, back, shoulders ugh 😫.
    But I exercise on my rebounder (gentle bounce for my lymphatic system). Somedays if in a flare up i have to just rest. But i do feel better mentally if I am able to exercise. I definitely can't over do it! Or ...it will be weeks to months before i can exercise. I love being out in nature for walks too . soothing to my soul. Love the ocean and stay alot at our Ocean Resort. I am on Hormone Replacement Therapy....that definitely helps with pain and have no more hot flashes & depression 😊.
    Please don't stop posting ever! Hugs & Prayers 🙏

    I hope your therapy works for you and you can go on your trip to Thailand. I had a long flight of around 24 hours and it was rough on the return trip and I missed the last day of sight seeing as I was in a bad flare but it was worth it. When I travel now I try to add in at least one day where I can just sit around my hotel room and do nothing but rest as I find that helps. And wow-7k subs! I hope your channel gets promoted more as well as you do a lot of work to bring lots of good info and inspiration!

      Thank you so much for your kind words and thoughtful advice! I'm really looking forward to the trip to Thailand, and hearing about your experience, despite the challenges, makes me even more excited. It's a great tip to schedule a rest day during travel. I'll definitely book a comfortable hotel near the airport the day I arrive and get myself 24 hours of just rest. I really hope it happens as I am getting very excited as I plan it. I can imagine how tough the 24-hour travel must have been, especially with the flare-up towards the end. But it's great to hear that you found the overall experience worth it. That's the kind of attitude I hope to maintain during my travels.
      And about the 7k subscribers - that's such an encouraging milestone! Thank you for recognizing the effort that goes into the channel. Your support means a lot, and it motivates me to keep creating content that is not only informative but also inspiring. Let's hope for more growth and opportunities to spread positive messages. Thank you again for your support and advice!

    I’m so happy that found your channel. We actually have a lot of auto-immune diseases in common. I was diagnosed with AS 9yrs ago, I have had chronic migraines my whole life, I was diagnosed with Crohn’s 6yrs ago and diagnosed with Fibromyalgia about 2yrs ago. I also have hypothyroidism. I just turned 50 in January and it was so nice to find someone who understands what I’m going through. My husband and kids are great, but it’s not the same. I’m a CCA, I worked both in a Nursing home and with Home Care, however, I haven’t been able to work for almost 3yrs because of all my illnesses/disabilities. Most days I feel lost…..

      First off, a huge welcome to our channel community! 🌟 Finding out we share similar health challenges is comforting but I'm truly sorry to hear about the difficulties you've faced, especially impacting your work and day-to-day life.
      Turning 50 and navigating these conditions shows remarkable strength, and it’s wonderful to hear you have the support of your family. It’s so true, though, that there’s something deeply comforting in connecting with others who truly understand our experiences.
      Feeling lost is a feeling many of us can relate to, especially on the tougher days when the path forward seems unclear. I hope this channel can be a space for you to find comfort, information, and a sense of belonging.
      Let's continue to share, support, and uplift each other. You’re not alone, and every piece of your story adds to this community. Sending you a lot of strength and warmth. 💜

      Thank you so much! I’m very upset about the MRI. I think I might actually go to Brazil to get it done there. I’ll definitely share if that is the case. My goal is to get to 10k before the summer but more than that I would like to have all my videos to get at least 1K views. I’m working really hard towards that but often I feel I have no control at all of the outcome. I guess that is the CZcams life….

    My husband wants to go to Thailand next month, but I don't think my body can physically handle a 30 hour flight. I know my body and it would send me into a flare. My husband doesn't seem to understand what I need or can and can't do. I try to explain but healthy people don't get it. I want to travel, but ever since my diagnosis, I am afraid of travel.
    I told him I would rather travel domestic and see this beautiful country that we live in. I am turning 50 this month and I have never seen much more than Washington State. I want a camper van so I have a home with a bed and toilet wherever we go.

    • @tt_looking_glass
      @tt_looking_glass  Před 6 měsíci

      Navigating travel desires and physical limitations is a difficult balancing act. It's understandable that a 30-hour flight seems daunting and could potentially trigger a flare-up, given the stress and physical demands of long-haul travel. It's a big ask for your body, and it's totally valid to worry about a flare-up Trying to get your partner to see the full picture when they don't live with your condition can be like explaining color to someone who's only ever seen in black and white.
      Your idea to explore domestically and see the beauty of your own country is wonderful. We often don't see the beauty in our own backyard. Travelling in a camper van is an excellent compromise, offering the comfort of having your own space with necessary amenities like a bed but also allowing for flexibility in your travel plans, the ability to rest when needed, and the opportunity to explore at your own pace.
      If you get to Thailand and you are in a bad flare it will be no fun for either of you. Would your partner rather have you well, participating and happy while travelling domestically or sick and grumpy while in Thailand?
      Perhaps you could share more about how travelling domestically and in a camper van aligns with your needs. I'm also turning 50 next month! If you end up going to Thailand let me know as I am planning on going in March. Maybe we could meet on the other side of the world. Lol!!

      I'm sorry to hear about the tough time you're having with your fibromyalgia flare-up, especially after managing it for so many years. It sounds like you've been through a lot, and finding that your usual methods aren't as effective right now must be overwhelming. While I'm not a doctor and can't offer medical advice, I can share that low-dose naltrexone has really helped me manage my Fibromyalgia. I'm also turning fifty next month and I agree that this doesn't get any easier with time. Wishing you strength and hope you find a path back to better days soon.

    do you think your back pain is from hormones or it's different symptoms?

    • @tt_looking_glass
      @tt_looking_glass  Před 6 měsíci

      I don't believe the pain is directly linked to hormones, but I suspect that the decrease in estrogen levels might be indirectly contributing to an increase in inflammation throughout my body. This heightened inflammatory response could be exacerbating my autoimmune condition. It's a complex interaction between hormonal changes and the immune system, and it seems like the reduction in estrogen is playing a significant role in triggering these symptoms.
