I loved the Mystery House tour guide. That's a guy who loves his job and is probably having a little too much fun with it. "My personal record for someone trying to find Nemo is 25 minutes."😂😂😂😂😂. But what really caught my eye were the hotel key chains. I used to collect them from family road trips, and at one point I had a shoe box full of them. Unfortunately, that was a half dozen times moving, and a divorce ago. Still have a few left though.
it was cool that this was like a private tour too! i usually see tour videos with a group of people, this must've been so neat to experience this way

Amazes me how much time and money people put in to build these tourist traps that you know can't make that much money.
I just have to say, I have a lot of respect for how hard you must work. I took a long road trip recently and it was a lot of work in and of itself and I imagined trying to film and edit a video each day and know I couldn't do it. I was also so busy, I wasn't able to even keep up watching your videos. It took me a solid effort to catch up on all of them when I got back home. I have no idea how you do it! You have to be one of the hardest working people on the platform!
Raven’s Cross!!! My old stomping grounds!!! I was an actor there for 4 seasons and have so many fond memories of that place. My favorite year was probably when I played a doctor in the apothecary scene. That table in the middle of the room got knocked over more than once by scared guests. You have to go back for the haunt during the season this year. It truly is one of the best haunted attractions around.

I like grapes. Growing up we had grapes growing on our fence. My mom would make grape jelly from them. Your right Jacob home grown grapes are totally different from grapes bought in the store.
I live in Cave City now. They just filmed a movie at Gun Town Mountain. Nicholas Cage was involved. There was a bunch of Studio Trucks in the Gift Shop parking lot for several months.
Can't wait to see what they finally do with guntown or funtown or is it guntown ..no definitely funtown! It would be so cool if the chairlift could get a revamp, turning into a zip line or something! Love the video!
It's been a while since I've been there, I hated to hear Gun Mountain close down, I love that place we all had a great time there , The kids there was so talent , Stay safe on the road big hugs
Big Mike's was my favorite souvenir shop in the area! I lived in Bowling Green many years ago and loved taking a drive to Cave City for the day.
I also remember riding the lift at Guntown Mountain, probably around 15 or so years ago when they were still running, yes they were a bit on the rough side then. I'm glad my parents took me and my brother while it was still running. My dad would tell us how cool it was back when he was a kid.

When I was a kid, my sister kept kicking her legs on the chairlift. They decided to stop the lift for about 10 minutes until they knew what was causing the whole chairlift to shake. I've been terrified of heights ever since.

Thank you SO much for doing these vlogs especially updates on these older mountain tourist attractions! I REALLY hope they keep the western theming and town with Guntown and don't completely tear it down and make it just a generic zipline park. So glad to hear new attractions are being added and which are still in business!
It's always cool when you get a behind the scenes look, especially in the haunts, where it's too dark and quick to get to see much when it's actually running (or when you are 😸).
When we went to visit Guntown Mountain 5 years ago, we were taken to the top in a Hummer! It was a bumpy ride and so much fun!
Cave City was awesome when I was young. Guntown Mtn, Wildlife Museum, Fun Parks with bumper boats and miniature golf, Go carts, and so much more. There were several good restaurants and hotels. The Wigwam village, camp grounds, Ky Down Under, and of course Mammoth Cave.
Love Big Mike's Mystery House. It was awesome!
At this point, it would make more sense to build a new chairlift at Guntown Mountain at this point and build a new haunted house an auction off anything salvageable to make some money
Hey Jacob I would love to see more cave explorations and natural feats! I went kayaking in Red River Gorge, Kentucky and it was amazing. I’m sure there’s some on-foot tours unless you’re ready to get your boat in the water!
I get intimidated by going into roadside attractions when I'm the only one there. You've been at this long enough that you seem comfortable. On the rare occasion I go into one I buy something to show support. I see you do the same courtesy.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned it before, but that Whacky Shack at Guntown Mountain was originally at an amusement park called Petticoat Junction in Panama City Beach, Florida. My family used to visit the park when I was a child in the 70s and early 80s. It's kinda sad to see Charmin' Charles in such a bad state.

I'm so glad that someone bought guntown mtn. It's been sad having it sit empty.
My parents and I and my grandparents have been there many times back in the 90s when I was still a younger guy. I remember staying in cave city but then driving up to horseshoe cave to what used to be an outlet mall. My mom and I always loved the brass factory.
Thing about sitting around a fire is the gathering. Making you some hot dogs or smores. Singing and having drinks. Usually it keeps you warm since we live in Indiana and it's a weekend thing especially in fall.
Best thing down there though is mammoth cave of course. I'll never forget taking the cave boats until it flooded and people were killed. Sad really.
The caves in southern Indiana and Kentucky are so immense. I have family near Louisville that have a huge hole in their back yard that leads to a massive underground cave and probably at least a mile of tunnels that are pretty huge. All on private land. Pretty amazing that all this was created after the melting off of the ice 🧊
can't wait to watch these tomorrow. I love that part of KY! Drove up there last week for a day visit to Mammoth Cave & ate lunch at Bucky Bee's BBQ. It was AMAZING. If you get back up that way I highly recommend it! :)

If or when Guntown Mountain gets going, u have to do the zip line, u r well inside the weight limit. It seems scary, but I have a good feeling you will enjoy it. The uncertainty and anxious buildup is the worst part. Just think you’ll like it & have fun like you did on the new surf coaster. Love that unexpected joy you discovered on that coaster.

Cave city is a fun area to explore. Next time you head that way, we recommend checking out Kentucky Down Under Adventure Zoo in Horse Cave, KY. It is a really great place.

it would be nice if Guntown mountain holds its western charm

I miss Big Mike's. Went there a couple of times when we would go to Mammoth Caves and camp.
4:58 you never understood the concept of sitting around a fire? please try it sometime it makes your experience better when you prepare/make the fire yourself. It's rather relaxing and afterwards your body smells like that classic campfire smell
I've seen plenty of your mystery house videos but this is by far the best.
Family went there when I was 6yo (1984) and I have an autographed vinyl record of the band that played there and an autographed picture from the cast of the shootout show.

It's sad to me to see the Haunted Motel closed & in disrepair.
I saw it from the road in 2011 coming back from a haunt/horror convention & immediately did a U-turn to see if it was open.
A man & woman were running the gift shop & selling the tickets for the Motel, & they said there were no actors till around September, but I said that didn't matter, I had to give respect & go through any year round haunt.
It was still pretty good, and they asked for my honest opinion afterwards and I pointed out one particularly effective animated prop and the gentleman told me he actually cobbled it together with pieces of other props and an air wrench!
I did find a picture of this haunted attraction in an old issue of Haunted Attraction Magazine and it said this could be the oldest still standing haunted attraction in U.S. and it asked people to send in any information that could to verify or dispute this claim.
I have only a few old issues of the magazine, & never found a follow up article to find the answer 😠

If you look up the science of mystery houses, they are basically optical illusions. But you can still have fun if you want to ignore that.
'Golgotha Fun Park and mini golf' was the most unfortunately inappropriate name, if you didn't know the hill was named Golgotha a long time ago.
Golgotha (Skull hill/ Calvary) was the execution hill of the crucifixion outside Jerusalem.
