      Yeah, seriously. All I want is a qr code and I'll download the manual to Dropbox so I always have it. And how about just mailing one paper manual to each customer if they request it

    • @DSLRwalker
      @DSLRwalker Před rokem

      Usually in most electronic stuff right now the manual is literally three pages with let’s say where’s the power button and QR Code with the full manual.
      The 400+ left pages are “necessary” regulation and safety information which are going straight to the bin.

    I just bought this unit here in the USA, but I didn't get that thick User Manual! LOL! WOW!!! By the way, thanks for the video. It helped me understand and get a visual on what I need to do prior to using mine. I wasn't aware that there is a slight amount of leakage from the spray wand. I'll have to keep that in mind, especially when I am spraying down the weed and grass killer, and don't want to get into my lawn area. There was a part on the User Manual that did mention what you said, about the spray nozzles building up possible debris in them, and they actually recommend pulling off the caps and using a small screw driver or some other small pointy tool to scrape off any debris from the nozzle heads. Once they are cleaned then they should function as usual. I am definitely excited about using this sprayer, and I bought it because I really hated having to use the Pump-and-Spray Units and or the Spray Bottles. Again, thanks for your video, and say Hello to the chickens LOL.

    My backpack hand crank sprayer is in need of replacement. This Makita probably has a place but I'm on a rural property and 15l makes a walk worthwhile. The Milwaukee Switchtank is a perfect setup if you have M18 batteries but it'll be a day of kicking and screaming before I buy into yet another battery system. Still, the Makita is a good size for insecticide and I don't like using the same sprayer for herbicide, insecticide and then fertiliser.

    Man, I so want to buy one but that dripping is a bummer. Dead grass trail everywhere my missus would carry it, to connect all the dead patches she's already left in every spot she's been ... 🙂 but less mowing, hmmmm ...

  • @Outwars1
    @Outwars1 Před 2 lety +3

    The powered sprayer is definitely a nice piece of kit for small stuff. Nice for like a little garden or maybe minor weeds on concrete. I'm thinking this might even be doable for spraying cleaning solution on walls etc. for mold/mildew too. Would definitely prefer the powered higher capacity one, but for the price, that's best left to commercial endeavours. Would be nice to have a uniform spray rate though on my back pack. sigghhh.

  • @mrd4032
    @mrd4032 Před 2 lety +2

    Just got one. Nice kit, nice spray, nice to hold. But, hose was so bent and crimped (not allowing any fluid to pass) at the handle I'm having to use two hands; looks like a piece of wood and tape to keep it straight. Seems a bit dissapointing to do that to a new machine, or remove and shorten...

  • @daversj
    @daversj Před 2 lety +3

    I find that sprayers with all plastic parts last much longer than brass or stainless. The stuff you’re spraying is usually corrosive, and plastic is much less susceptible. Seeing the brass and stainless wand on the Makita makes me think those parts wont last.

    Makita has an eco friendly packaging initiative that they’ve been ramping up. It was detailed in one of their recent shareholder reports (which was also the size of a Bible). I want to say 2019-2020 is when they officially started.

    It perplexes me that this is not supplied with an optional fan (flat blade) style nozzle. The fan type nozzle is critical for even applications of fertiliser and other products on lawns. Google searching, I cannot find a Makita nor third-party nozzle to fit this Makita. The 15L version includes a fan blade nozzle, but, it is unclear whether purchasing that as a spare part separately would fit the 5L. If anyone knows, do share! Cheers

    Also, honestly, 20kg on your back is SO much better than 7 or 8 kg in one hand. I could walk around with 20kg on my back all day, but carrying 7kg in one hand for an hour would ruin me for days.
