Sheri from CruiseTipsTV and her family spent the week in a Norwegian Escape Balcony Room and they've picked up some tips and tricks for making your cruise cabin extra comfortable. She'll show you around and share those hacks along the way! This particular room sleeps three people, with the couch converting to a bed, which was perfect for their teenage son. By day, the bed can be configured into a spacious couch, making more room for relaxing. The bathroom is oversized and has some clever storage and features. They loved the USB storage found on both sides of the bed, and here’s a tip: Be sure to bring cables that are long enough to reach the USB charging ports bedside. Because the walls in the room contain metal, you can also bring along some magnets to store paperwork, like the freestyle dailies. This is a great way to keep things off the countertops and easy to find.

Great tour of the stateroom. Those metal hooks are great to post my overview of plans and intinerary. I use the packing cubes to store my clothes as they get used so that way I'm all packed and ready to go at the end of my trip with my clothes stored safely under my bed. I loved hearing about Galveston on your podcast. It brought back great memories of my trip on Norwegian Prima back in October 2022.

Oh, how I wish I'd had this video before I sailed! I had no idea that you could use that sitting stool as a small table, and we NEEDED one! I appreciate the addition of the yellow arrows that point at the specific things you are referring to that might be difficult to see otherwise. Wonderful job!

ME, too! I think they are alternating on this ship (the room next to us had the couch by the balcony). It was SO special sailing into New York, and opening those curtains to see the view.

Wasn't that clever! So many uses! We used it for coffee and tea, but it could also be a nice little "getting ready" spot for a pre-formal night cocktail.

You're so very welcome! I love the clothes pins too! Another thing that works great are those big clips you can find at the dollar store. they look like "giant" clothes pins and they have lots of uses (like holding towels in place).

Great video. I think the tip to bring long charging cords was most helpful. The ports were definitely positioned high above the side tables. I also really loved the footstool/table/tray was a great idea.

HI Sheri!!! We are going on NCL Prima in Feb and I am sure our room will be similar. The little stool coffee table situation is a great dual purpose item! So happy to see a full size style hairdryer.
YES! And I think that it will be EVEN better as this ship was built in 2015. Lots of iterations since then! HAPPY SAILING! We are looking at Prima too, because TEXAS baby!

We were just on this ship NYC to New England/Canada. We loved the hooks by the door. We kept our jackets and hats on them. My biggest tip has to be the packing cubes. That has been a game changer for me.

My tip to take advantage of the European plug found on most cruise ships: I bring an EU USB charging plug-in device. The European Union countries follow this standard plug and these devices are easily available on Amazon or eBay. It helps by keeping the other 120 Volt plugs available for other plug in devices. There may be an additional EU plug available in the spot in the cabin that was designed for a coffee maker. That spot is useful to stow all of the electronic devices in need of charging in order to help keep the cabin more organized as well.

I have a small mesh organizer with pockets that I like to hang on one of the hooks. It helps keep things off the counters but also makes them easy to access.

My tips, 1. use a kitchen size trash bag as a hamper, not extra space or weight in your luggage. 2. Bring a small battery powered candle to leave in the bathroom at night so you don't wake up cabin mates turning on bright lights.

My friend recommended to bring a lightweight hanging shoe organizer with overdoor hooks for keeping miscellaneous items

Those are popular! Be careful of the ones that can damage the doors. Some cruise lines don't like you to use them (the metal can be damaging). Have a FAB cruise!

I sleep with a cpap machine and use the magnetic hooks to run my power cord across the ceiling to keep it out of the way since the power outlets are typically just over at the desk.

My wife and I just returned last month from the Caribbean. We had a wonderful time. My only advice would be to bring a rechargeable night light. This will keep you from having the bathroom light on all night. 😊
