It started from a small animation project, leading to a popularity thus creating a whole movie which brings a whole new level of a fanbase, spawning memes and everything and now it's getting a game. Unbelievable.
This game looks better than most AAA games right now.

Jeff Lew and his creation of Killer Bean are both absolute Legends, both rising to massive online fame from nothing. I'm so glad this game is in the works, and I can't wait to play it. Who knows what other memes will be spawned from it.

Seens to me like he's doing the same "disruption" he did with the film industry but now in the videogame industry. Launching an amazing indie project perfectly capable of standing besides the giants of the industry even with it's obvious limitations, and made mostly by himself. This guy is a monster. I really hope this goes well.

I’m conflicted on how I feel about how an entire studio with around 3k developers can feel emptier and significantly less polished compared to a game made by essentially, quite literally a crazy Dave with a passion. Just wow.

I am not joking when I say that I have never ever been so excited for a game after a 2.5 second clip and a title like I am right now. Black Myth Wukong needed a 12 minute video to do the same in 2020 for me. I'm anticipating this more than christmas as a child.
This is giving early 2000s vibe creativity in gaming I'd never think I would see a game that represented that ERA's creativity ever again with todays graphics 🔥🔥🔥

The important part is that the movement feels good. Since game engines lower the skill floor for programming, knowledge of presentation has become far more important for indie game development. And who knows more about movement in a 3D space than an action movie animator?
I remember stumbling upon my father watching "Killer Bean 2.1" on his computer when I was around 10 years old.
That accidentally introduced me to independent animation online at that time.
Closest GTA 6 we ever gotten
First impression look pretty good. There's an excellent, fluid motion that is clearly executed in these gameplay trailers. I might actually be a little excited even though I ignored 99% of killer bean when it was being memed. It genuinely looks that impressive.
I remember coming over Killer Bean in a video of him killing every member of a gang that bothered him in his sleep. That video was on a burned disk with just that and it was in my brother's Windows 98 PC. It is weird suddenly seeing it coming back after all these years of not thinking about this and just wondering if I imagined the whole deal.
I have this movie in a phisical official CD-Rom disc. I was like 8 or 9yo when I made my mother to buy it for me. Just when we got home noticed that it's Pegi 16 (at least where I live) and yet I saw it 4-5 times. It's a very good movie and looks amazing, can't wait for the game release (I know I'm late but there are so many things to see that I can't keep up😅)

My mom bought a DVD containing a collection of movies. There was Shrek Forever, Toy Story 3, Up, and Killer Bean was in there, too! My sister and I used to quote "cappuccino" said by some major beans and we thought it was the funniest shit ever.
She never saw the ending but I did. The ending "hit me in the soul" if that makes sense. I had that same feeling from the SpongeBob SquarePants Movie as well. One of the great movies I have ever seen during my childhood.
Also, my mom wasn't bothered by how brutal the Killer Bean movie was, probably cause they were beans 😭 😂
I love cartoons or characters or video games made and animated by one person. It shows that they put a lot work in it. I love killer bean especially the YTPS of Killer bean 2.1 and killer bean forever. Jeff Lew is a great animator. I didn't knew that he was the animator on the matrix but that's extremely cool

I think unlike a lot of memes that get overextended and ruin the joke this will actually succeed. Mostly because Killer Bean is not a meme on its own. It's a genuine passion project from a talented individual with an uncompromising vision.
This shits gonna beat every triple AAA game for the next 5 years.
